And now, at long last the top dogs of the school. The fit of the fit and the best of the best. At least in their own minds. The only problem Bloxam foresaw was that he was getting these seventh years after not having a clue who taught them before him. Not a very good note to start off with. Merlin alone knew what rubbish they had been taught.
Well, he for one had planned an actual N.E.W.T.s level curriculum that seventh years should be handling. And the kiddies would no doubt enjoy it. Especially when they learned enough about this years subject material to make their own chess sets. And get to take them home for that matter.
A little goody bag for everyone. But that was not todays lesson. No, he had to introduce the stuff first. And Merlin knew how much of that he actually had to do.
Resting a hand under his chin and wrapping his fingers on his desk, Bloxam sighed, awaiting the Seventh Years to get to class. No doubt they were very party hungry. Hell, he had been in his last year at Hogwarts. Just as long as they listened. Hell, they didn't even have to do that. Just as long as they didn't get him into trouble, they would get along fine. Not that this was a party animal bunch, but you never knew what having senority could do to these kiddies.

He didn't know how he'd made it to N.E.W.T level transfiguration, didn't know last you either, he'd just shown up and done the best he could. Apparantly he'd done good enough to remain--something that surprised him extremely. Now mind you Bloxam had never really been his cup of tea as far as professors went--though there were probably worse, there weren't any as sarcastically witted nor lazy as he. Characteristically Slytherin to the core he was, not that one could expect much less from their Head of House. After all, the man did put up with both Jones AND Velez int he same room every day last term...
As corey entered the room, taking a seat without so as much as a word to the man, it was only aafter he was seated did he realize he was first. First with this man generally meant victim...cripes, so much for an easy period. He should've checked the room before fully entering, ah well, what was done was done and Corey supposed he could at least put up with the man until someone else arrived...
He didn't seem ina conversing mood anyways, in fact he seemed half asleep--all the better...

Arianna bit her bottom lip as she entered the room and took a seat. Transfiguration hadn't ever been her strongest subject, but she needed it to become a Healer and had worked her butt off to pass her OWLs. And she had made it. Problem was, once she got into the class, she'd lost momentum. It had become harder to keep up and she was barely keeping her grade in this class above passing. Arianna would have to kick butt this year if she wanted to pass her NEWTs.
"Alo," Arianna greeted the boy next to her with a small smile. He looked about as excited to be here as she was.

Transfiguration wasn't a favourite subject of Vanessa's but it was OK. It was easy, in her opinion, but this last year was probably going to be more difficult than it had been all the years previous. It was N.E.W.T year, something Nessa wasn't all that thrilled about, but she figured she should probably start trying in class and pay more attention. The rest of her life depended on these, do they were really rather important.
Thankfully this classroom was set up like an actual classroom. That mean back rows of seats for people who didn't want to listen. Unfortunately, Nessa was in a "good student" mood and forced herself to sit near the front. She knew she was going to regret that later.

Es entered the Transfiguration room and glanced around to see only a few students there. She didn't know why she always got to class early. It was just a habit. A good one if you want to be on good terms with the Professors'. A bad one if you don't want to sit there forever, waiting for the other students, and thinking. Good Lord she had avoided that all day and she didn't know if she could do it anymore. Of course, unconciously she actually had been thinking but that, she couldn't help. She gave a silent sigh and sat in a desk around the middle front, taking out a book and basically ignoring everything around her.

Transfiguration was, in Finn's opinion, a cool class. The professor...not so much, but Finn would live through it if it meant he got to learn how to, well, transfigure stuff. It was a useful tool, and it was also fun to transfigure people's things into animals. Always a good laugh.
Today seemed rather dead though. Finn arrived once again to see how early he was and surprisingly, it was the same people in the room already, plus another boy. At least he wasn't alone.

One person, at least, was still missing from the classroom, but she followed closely after Finn, though they had come from different directions to the fourth floor classroom. Apparently, she was also one of the only ones in the class who actually enjoyed and did well in it. Entering the classroom, Keagan was torn between the two faces she saw first - Corey, her Gryffindor compadre, and Finn, her recently named boyfriend.
The Lioness frowned in thought for just a moment before stepping up behind Finn and poking him in the side. "Heya," she greeted with a brilliant smile before moving past him, toward where Corey sat, and gesturing with her head for him to follow.
The plan, it seemed, was perfect.

"Owww!" Finn complained, even though it hadn't really hurt. He only complained because it was Keagan and he was sure to get a reaction out of her for it. Sticking his tongue out, he watched as she walked past and toward the other boy. He raised an eyebrow as Keag motioned for him to follow, but he did as he was told. Picking up his bag, Finn jogged over to catch up to her. "What are you doing?" Finn asked her, with a soft kiss on her cheek as a greeting.

Keagan shooed him back from her as she moved to sit in the desk beside Corey; she was really enjoying this miming thing, but figured she'd better grin at him to let him know not to take her too seriously.
"I wanted to sit here," she said, before turning to Corey with a "Hi" and a friendly wave. Then, turning back to Finn, she continued. "You don't have to sit by me if you don't want to, though."

Finn pretended to look hurt when Keag shooed him, but he let a snicker out and his serious expression broke into a smile. He was a terrible actor. Quickly taking the seat on the other side of Keagan, he nudged her playfully. "You're mean," he complained again, laughing once more as he dropped his bag beside him once more.

Keagan was learning quickly that most of Finn's complaining was to be ignored, and that was exactly what she was doing. She wasn't ignoring him altogether, though; just the complaining.
Boxing his arm as he laughed, the Gryffindor rolled her eyes at him before turning her attention to Corey, knowing she'd have plenty of opportunity to talk to Finn later.
"How's your day going, Mr. Head Boy?"

"Oooo shut downnnnnnnnnn"
Mike said in a joking tone to Finn as he walked past the boy and into the seat on the other side of Corey and laughed slightly. He hadn't really met Finn personally, but hey this year would provide enough time.
"Come on man take a seat, sooner we start the sooner the Professor can get rid of us and back to his sleep"

"Hey, shut up!" Finn hollered at the idiotic boy that walked past. Who the hell did he think he was? Standing up, Finn walked around to where he'd taken a seat. "You wanna try saying that to my face?" the Ravenclaw asked the boy when he was now standing beside him. It would have appeared that Finn was angry, but he wasn't even close. Yet. If the guy kept it up, he'd get there awfully quickly and Keagan would probably have to hold him back.

As Keagan entered and sat by him, motioned...motioned...Corey actually forgot both his first and last name, oh well, whoever he was over. Corey hadn't been one to ask questions, mostly because it wasn't his place but as events followed through it was pretty clear pretty quick as to who was where and with what title...and Mike's, was still Class Instigator. No surprise.
As oen rose to challange the other, all Corey had was a flashback to last year's incident run through his head, and as much as he knew he had the right to step in, the power to step in, he was rather reluctent to. Bloxam had, after all, made it quite clear in his...comedically sarcastic way, that he disapproved of other's tapping his power chain. Better to wait for Mike's reaction...and...Keagan had asked him a most ironic questionw hich he had yet to answer.
"Day was going pretty great...until five seconds ago." The Gryffindor replied, unintentionally forgetting about Ari on the other side of him.
(Sorry Ari, meant to reply sooner than this)

Keagan had to agree that the quality of the day had seriously diminished in the last few moments. She grimaced as Mike made his ridiculous comment, and even more so when Finn rose to challenge the abhorant Hufflepuff. She looked at Corey apologetically before speaking.
"Finnegan," she said shortly, sternly, suddenly and glanced over at him with a disapproving gleam in her eye. The Gryffindor wasn't intending to boss him around, nor did she actually expect him to behave nicely simply because she'd said it, but it was worth a shot, if only to save Finn from the consequences that had met Mike and Dean when they had fought last year.
