Not long after she'd left the dance Felicity had found her way to the school newspaper office where she was planning on staying, in hopes of finishing the article on the dance. And possibly getting a bit more done with the layout of the paper, in which she hadn't yet decided how it was going to be set-up. Even though she hadn't yet stayed at the office before, she had spent many long night there, working on little things, adjustments, and whatnots, but tonight she was planning on staying the entire night. The blond was just banking on being able to finish the article that night, and hopefully be staying up without too many troubles of wanting sleep, and if such a want took over, she could nap on one of the couches available.
Placing her notebook on the desk she'd claimed as her own, she flipped through the pages, glancing down through what she'd obtained. Her bag still sat in her chair, the exact spot she'd left it in before heading to the dance earlier that evening, her pajamas inside. Felicity figured if she was going to be up all night, she might as well be comfortable while at it. There was so much information, she wasn't sure which angle she wanted to go in with the article, there were tons of costumes she wanted to make mention of, bits and pieces of things that'd happened, the unmasking of each person, the music and the band. And then of course, she also had on her mind the one person she hadn't thought would show, but did, and called her Princess Buttercup all night, and of course she was wondering whether he might keep her company that night. No, she hadn't directly asked him to be there, but she had told him that was where she was going to be that night, and hoped he'd understood she meant she wanted him to be there, too.
Sighing a bit, still not sure what to do with the information she had acquired, she reached forward and turned on the small wireless that sat on her desk, something she'd found to keep her mind from drifting too far when she'd been in the office before, only to hear it playing some love song by a witch she'd never heard of before. Of course, that could've been due to the fact she didn't really know many wizarding celebrities, having been mostly brought up with muggle ones. Shaking her head at the terribly slow music, and possibly worse lyrics, so weepy, she bent her head to take a look at the gems stuck to her stomach still. The sticking spell Celina had used was a good one, none had fallen off in the course of the evening, however, she wasn't sure how to actually get them off.
One choice she had was to go get her wand from her common room and attempt to use it on herself. Another she had was to try to peel the gems off with her fingers, that choice seemed less painful. After all, it meant there was no chance of accidentally setting herself on fire.

He had managed to spend the whole dance in his costume, ducking into the boy's room to wipe the schmutz off of it, but as soon as it was over he had run up to the boy's dorm for a quick shower and to change into a pair of warm up pants, t-shirt, and a hooded sweatshirt. He had stuck his wand in it's usual place in his back pocket, glad to have it back on his person. The mustache, he decided to keep for just a couple more days.
On the pretense of doing final rounds, he made his was back down to the fourth floor, urging a coupld of second years to get bnack to their common room, checking the prefects lounge to see if anyone was holed up in there, and finally wandering down to the newspaper office. Felicity had mentioned that she would be there and Drew wasn't sure if she was hinting or not, but thought it was okay to at least peek in. If she was really busy, he could easily finish his pretend rounds and go up to bed.
He saw the light on, but didn't hear any noise coming from inside and he slipped into the room, leaning against the door jam and lightly rapping on the door. "Young lady... do you know it's almost curfew?" he asked, lowering his voice to a gruff growl.

Concentrating on getting the gems off, she hadn't heard anything and rightly jumped a mile in the air when she heard the rapping and voice. Immediately stopping the small progression she had made, she glanced up at the person who'd intruded, only to smile. He had stopped in, whether because she'd hinted she wanted him to or not, she wasn't sure, but either way, he'd shown.
"Are you my father?" she teased and stuck her tongue out at him while rolling her eyes in jest. On a much more serious note, she added; "And just so you know Mr Thornton," knowing how much he hadn't liked her calling him Mr Prefect, but felt the need to be a bit more formal when addressing him as he'd called her 'young lady'. "I have permission tonight to be here. It was granted so I could finish up the article on the dance, as well as work a bit more on the paper."
Of course, she was there on the pretense of working on the paper, but if he was there maybe he'd be a bit of a distraction and help to keep her awake that night. Then again, she was hoping he would be sticking around that night, and not just be stopping in and walking back out.
"What's got you out here tonight?" she asked quietly, hoping he wouldn't just say doing his job and checking on students. Of course, if that was what he was doing, then good, but she was also hopeful that he was there because she'd made mention that she would be.

He snorted at the father comment and made a face back when she stuck her tongue out at him. He had a couple of quippy comebacks, but without his mask suddenly didn't have the nerve to say them.
"Rounds..." Drew answered, figuring he would stick to his story even if he wasn't on the schedule for that particular night. Of course, there was much more to the reasons why he had decided to voluntarily herd the students back to their houses.
"You said you would be in here all night, so I figured I'd check up on you... make sure you were okay and everything," he told her with nervous smile.

Nodding slowly, she figured his answer would be something of the sort about responsibilities as a Prefect, but she had really hoped he would mention something, anything, but he didn't. It was kind of adorable that he had opted to check in on her though, that was nice, made her feel a little on the special side that he cared enough to check.
"I'm good, no monsters hiding anywhere. Sammy's in here, I think he's in one of the drawers, and there aren't any threats. Well," she smiled, deciding to go into a tease. "You could be considered a threat, but I don't necessarily view you as one." Her smile had turned very cautious, hoping he wouldn't take what she was saying the wrong way, but she really didn't see him as any sort of threat. Yes, he could be an intimidating figure, but she didn't see him like that, he was much more of a teddy bear than a black bear.
Sitting herself up on the desktop, she continued to look at him, hoping he'd come in from the doorway, and maybe stay. That's what she really wanted, for him to stay and keep her company, though if he was on rounds, it was unlikely he'd be able to. And besides, she could take care of herself, it wasn't as though she really needed him there, she just wanted him to be.
Allowing her brown eyes to continue their observance of him, she couldn't help but once more think of what had been on her mnd recently. It'd been on her mind at the dance too, but she'd opted not to take any opportunities she may have had as she'd been at the dance with someone else. But, right then she couldn't really bring herself to think of much else.
"So, Westly, did you have fun tonight?" she inquired, hoping to shake the thoughts away, and still making comment that he was out of his Dread Pirate Roberts costume. Besides, they were only friends, and while hand holding and holding onto each other seemed to be all right, it didn't mean kissing was. And she didn't want to blow anything with him, she had told him she'd take it slow, and really that meant nothing. What sense was there in taking friendship slow?

"A threat, huh?" he asked back, raising an eyebrow and smiling crookedly at the tease. He slid a step closer and flashed an innocent grin before taking a few more steps inside. "So what kind of threat could I possibly be?"
He inched closer and closer as if stalking her and by the time he reached her desk, he probably would have given her a poke in the side if it weren't for the fact that he would have touched bare skin. Why did that make him so nervous? he wasn't sure.
He hoped up onto the desk next to her and grinned, liking how she called him Westley. Did that mean she'd be his Buttercup? "Yeah... it was good," he answered. There had been a few ups and downs to the evening, but on the whole, it had been a good night.

"As previously discussed," she smiled gently, hoping he'd understand she didn't have any more stock in the view as she hadn't before, that it was merely something she grew up listening to. "You're a boy." As he stepped closer and closer to her, she could feel those nerves of hers in preperation for anything. "And you're a boy I happen to like, isn't that threat enough?" It would have seeemed so to her family, but she really didn't seem him as any type of threat. Even if at the moment he seemed to be acting as though she were his prey, which was kind of funny, not frightening.
He jumped up next to her, and she forced her body to remain facing the door he'd come from, afraid otherwise she'd do something ridiculous. "I'm glad you had fun then," she smiled. In fact, she was actually glad of a lot of things, that'd he'd shown at the dance, he'd danced with her, he'd shown up at the office, and that he'd taken a seat next to her.
Deciding one little look wouldn't hurt, she turned and smiled at him. "So you came tonight," she stated the obvious that he'd stopped in, hoping it didn't sound too weird, or out of conversation.

"You said you would be here all night..." Drew said again, stopping himself before he totally repeated what he had already said. "Is that okay? I mean... I was doing rounds and everything, but I'm really kind of done, so if you needed help or something... or I could just stay to keep you company... unless you were too busy or something that is."
Merlin, he was babbling again. One of these days he was going to just jinx himself with a Silencio and be done with it.

He didn't even give her a chance to answer his question as he continued on and on, and she merely felt her grin grow wider and wider as he kept going. When he finally seemed to pause, perhaps for breath, she moved closer to him and turned her face to look right at him. "It's perfectly all right that you're here. I was actually, kind of, sort of, hoping you would come tonight."
Biting down on her lip lightly, she took a deep breath, on to respond to what else he'd said. "I'd really like it if you stayed, if it's all right, I mean," she added. Of course, she didn't want him in any trouble, so if it meant he could get in trouble being there with her, she didn't mind if he slipped off. "And I'm never too busy for your company."
Letting her brown eyes find his blue, she smiled nervously at him. Why had she just said all of that? It made her sound extremely desperate, and she wasn't. It was just that she really liked him, and wanted to be around him.

The butterflies were no longer content just staying in his stomach and he felt a warm tingle from head to toe as she looked at him. He grinned back at her, glad she wanted him to stay. The only problem was, hanging out in the newspaper office they'd probably have to get a little bit of work done.
"It should be all right if I stayed I think," Drew told her as he leaned back on his elbows. He had a good veiw of her in her costume and a wave of nervousness hit him again, making him sit back up and smile at her weakly. "I don't think I got the chance to tell you... you look really great tonight..."

"You think so?" she questioned, realizing what she was still dressed in and convienently wrapping her arms around her middle. "I wasn't too sure about it, it's not something I'm normally up for." Being a dress had nearly crossed the line, but when Jax and Celina had decided on a design, she'd been weary of their decision, it really showed a bit too much for her tastes. "Jax and I drew straws to see who wore the dress, unfortunately she won. But she looked really nice in her costume. And Celina helped design both of ours. I just sewed them up the way they told me to."
All right, so she really did like it, even if it was a dress. And the way it fit was nice as well, other than she felt a bit exposed in it, it was overall nice. "And Jax came up with the stone idea," she explained, tearing her arms away to reveal the pattern that was still visible, even if she'd managed to pry off one of the stones. "Celina performed a sticking spell on them and then she put 'em on for me. But it was Jax's idea to go in House colours, that's why it's red."
All right, so now she was just nervously blabbering. Felicity didn't know how to take compliments well, and so she was trying to shrug it off a bit by just going into an extremely short-version, boringly detailed description of things. "I came up with the idea to go as gypsies though," she added, feeling like an idiot. What had made her go into such things? "I thought you looked nice tonight, too though."
It was an added note, she had thought he looked nice, but she didn't really want to keep going on about her costume either. Looking up, she grinned a little and reached her hand out to smooth down the hair that covered his upper lip. "And the mustache was nice addition to top it off."

He thought she looked amazing, and as she talked more about her outfit he couldn't help but notice how it flowed over her. He felt his mouth go dry and as she continued, first uncovering her stomach and then pointing out the sparkles around her belly button, Drew gulped hard and nodded dumbly, finally finishing up with a nervous giggle as she traced his upper lip.
"Yeah? You like it?" he asked with a grin. With the exception of Arianna, every other girl he knew had laughed at the idea of him in a mustache and Drew had a feeling the only reason Ari had gone for it so gung-ho was Alhana had been totally against it. No, he didn't plan on wearing it forever, but once in a while it was kind of cool.

"Yes, I do," she replied, smiling a bit nervously at him. Actually, he looked a little funny with one, because she hadn't ever seen him with one, but it did look nice on him. "You look very grown up with it," she stated before she could stop herself. "Not that I think you don't look grown up as it is," she returned with, backtracking. "I mean, I think you look nice with it. Not that you don't look nice without it."
Felicity could feel her face flushing a bit and she lowered her eyes, this particular scene felt all too familiar. Hadn't she done this once before? She was pretty sure she had. "What I mean is, you look nice." The blond wasn't going to add any more to it, she'd leave it at that. He looked nice. He always did.

"Thanks," he said, smiling at the compliment. "You look nice too." The words had left his mouth before he realized he had already told her that. Was it weird to say it again? Maybe she hadn't heard it the first time so it would be okay. He wanted to make sure she knew he had noticed her. Girls liked that, right? But what if she hadn't heard it the second time either? "You look really nice," he said again just as it hit him that she had to have heard the first one because that had prompted her saying he looked nice back. Great... he was babbling like an idiot.
He blew a long and loud breath out, telling himself that he had to relax. It was hard when all he wanted to think about were the jewels on her stomach.
"So... like... what do you have to do tonight?" he asked, thinking that might be a good start. At least it was something besides 'you look nice'.

Giving him an odd look, she wasn't sure why he told her once more what he thought about how she looked, but it was nice that he made mention of it. However, the look on her face went a bit odder as he mentioned it a third time, but she didn't say anything. Perhaps he'd gotten a bit distracted and hadn't realized he already told her, though this made her wonder just what he could've been distracted by.
"Tonight I have to write up a short excerpt on the dance for the paper, but with everything that went on, I don't know where to start," she smiled a bit weakly. There was so much information, she just didn't know what to begin with and what to end with. "I also wanted to look at the layout I had planned again." Maybe she was a bit obvessive. After all, she'd already changed the layout about four times as it was.
"But first..." she trailed off, leaning back on the desk and reaching over her head to grab her bag on the chair. "I want to change into something a bit more comfortable." With this she grinned and sat back up, leaning over towards the Ravenboy, only to stop suddenly when she realized what she was about to do. Quickly changing directions, she softly kissed his cheek and slid off of the desk. "I'll be right back."
As she stepped out of the door, she wanted to scream at herself, reminding herself she'd be lucky if he was still there when she got back.
