Ah, her fifth-year students. This was something that Elisaveta had been looking forward to, because she was going to teach a real lesson, rather than just have an introduction as she was with her younger years. Merlin knew they were already behind on their OWL work, so there was no reason for them to fall even further back.
The young professor had written her name on the blackboard in an elegant, if somewhat hard to read, script. She sat in her desk chair with arms folded in her lap, smiling at the three-dimensional display of the Milky Way galaxy that was swirling above her desk. A nifty bit of charmwork, that--she had to remember to thank Anton for teaching her the spell, because it was bound to enhance her classes.

Brendan bounced energetically into the Astronomy classroom, giving a hearty wave at the Professor before bounding to the back of the classroom. No, he wasn't any good at Astrology, or Astronomy, or whatever that blasted subject was, he was a naturally outgoing guy. For a guy standing no higher then 5'3", that awful clumsyness that one would expect in one much taller then himself lingered within him, for not much longer after heading back towards the back of the classroom, he tripped over his shoelaces, causing him to collapse ungracefully into a chair. At least he hadn't hit the floor.
Merlin... I wonder how behind I am in this class., the fifth Year Gryffindor mused before reclining lazily back in his seat.

One student was all that had shown up--and it was already five minutes past when class was supposed to start. Elisaveta sighed, then stood up from her chair and smiled at the young man who had entered. "Hello," she greeted him, smiling as brightly as she could manage, given the rather drastic circumstances. "I guess it's just you and me for this lesson. What is your name?"
She couldn't help but imagine how far behind the other fifth-years were going to be, and that brought a wry grin. If they failed their OWLs, then so be it--Elisaveta wasn't going to be cutting any slack on the course requirements for the NEWT level, so she certainly hope they didn't want to be in Astronomy.
