It was midnight, and the second and third years were given a wonderful chance to map the stars. It was a cold wintery night, but the sky was clear. The stars were out and shone beautifully. Conditions were ideal for star observation today.
The professor was no where in sight. Usually she was grading papers in her large classroom, but not today!
A note was scribbled on the board neatly. It stated:

David had done it! He had found a loophole, an empty space in Ms. Solis' rules. Not anywhere did it say that he couldn't bring Hot Cocoa or a blanket into class - he had read the rules over 50 times, not believing his luck. If he didn't break the rules, no house points could be taken away, no?
Clad in school-uniform (despite the fact the buttons were in the wrong holes, the hood was crooked, and the robes were slung over his right shoulder), the boy brought Ruffles (his teddybear) and a cup of Hot Cocoa up the stairs and into the classroom. Taking a seat smack-center in front of the teacher's desk, a pair of brilliant blue eyes read the board.
So much for coming early the boy thought to himself with a roll of his eyes. The only reasoning for coming early was to have a 'talk' with the Prof over no particular subject. He just liked talking. And Ms. Solis for that matter. Taking a sip of his Hot Cocoa, the boy (for once not hyper) took out his telescope, book, and quill along with ink. Oh. He didn't need parchment - his arm worked perfectly fine.
Intently, the boy glued his eyes on the back door, awaiting for her (majesty) to return.

She had made it to the doorway of the classroom but no farther. Bag slipping from her shoulder and eyes now completely closed, Abigail Bennett began falling asleep standing up. That's what happened when you had class at midnight; what more could you expect? She awoke though when she began leaning to the side and almost toppled over.
Yes, Abby had taken a nap during the day so as to prepare her for class, but it wasn't helping the second year stay awake. She was on a schedule--bed by ten, not two in the morning. She wasn't a night person or an owl for that matter and really despised Astronomy for keeping her up so late. Her eyes jolting open, the Huffle regained her balance and tripped towards the desks and chairs near the middle. She really wanted to stay in the back but knew she would fall asleep if she did, so the girl decided to sit a few chairs behind the teacher's pet in front of her.
Abigail dropped her bag onto the desk and slowly read the message scribbled on the board. Slowly because it took her three times to actually comprehend what it said. The Huffle frowned and withdrew the mentioned supplies from her bag knowing she was going to have a hard time taking notes when she couldn't even read a simple message.
Than she laid her arms on her desk and her head on her arms and fell asleep. So much for her theory of staying awake in the front.

She had yet to do it, be able to find a way to live through the normal day of classes, get her assigned work done, take a nap and still make it to Astronomy with some form of energy. Usually she surrendered the nap, and when she didn't give that up, she ended up not showing up at all. This was a day when she relinquished the nap.
She was definitely sluggish, as it had taken her a good half hour to traverse what normally takes ten minutes in stairs. One could tell when the brown-locked second year entered the classroom looking as thought she'd tried to finish her entire life in a day. Her hair was a near mess and her face bore tired, sleepy looking eyes to match. However she refused to actually fall asleep like she knew so many others would. No, she wouldn't become one of the majority.
She only looked around after she'd taken a seat somewhere off to Davids left, and what she saw was an on-the-fence majority. A third year with energy, or Abi with none. This was quite a conundrum to figure out. The girl however put this aside long enough to read the board and spy the word telescopes. That meant they would be once again looking at something...well...pretty? Yes that worked. Perhaps that was the reason she always forced herself to have energy here. Perhqaps she had too high of an expectation for this class?
Following the instructions on the board the Huffle got prepared and shifted her weary gaze to the door.

Ty headed to the Astronomy class a little reluctantly. For one it was at Midnight and for another he just didn't really feel like going today. He wasn't out of it or anything he just wasn't used to the whole class routine again yet and wasn't that happy that the winter break had ended. Making his way up the many stairs he thought of all the homework that he had already acquired to do this week and a frown appeared on his face. He could be doing so many other things, like sleeping, then attending some god awful night class that was sure to get done at two in the morning.
Walking into the classroom with a mild expression on his face he looked around and saw that there was already three people in the room, Abigail, Lianna, and some Gryffindor he had never met. He made his way over to one of the desks on the far right of the room and about two rows back and sat his bag down. Reading the board quickly he began to unload his things and took his seat without a word to anyone.

Jynx made his way up to the Astronomy table. He was actually quite awake for how late of night it was. He hadn't really particularly been looking forward to another class this late but he wasn't put out about it at all. If he was going to be awake anyways then its better to be doing something then to be laying in bed awake.
Walking into the astronomy class he saw that quite a few people were all ready there. He made his way over to where Ty was sitting and set down next to him. "Hey," he said as he put his bag down and began rifling through it getting out everything that he would need.

It was the crazy boy again. Matty remembered young David from her potions class. It was the quirky hyper dude, but yes she liked that in a person. Smiling, almost frozen in the doorway after Jynx, she then came back to herself and smiled before following her thoughts to what she should do. "Couldn't help yourself could you?" she asked David smiling at him. Boy was that kid one of a kind. But back on subject, Matty bent down to her bag, and took out her things, placing them onto the deck near her. Then turning to Jynx, she winked before waving to him.
Tonight sky really was beautiful, and unlike some people, Matty hadn't had any trouble staying awake for the lesson. After all, it wasn't every night the Hogwarts sky's were that wonderful.

"Hey Jynx," Ty said with a smile watching as Jynx came over and set by him. He was glad that someone had. He didn't really fancy sitting by himself in complete silence throughout a class and knew that it would be fun to have Jynx there by him. If class go to boring they could always discuss other things or occupy themselves with a bit of mischief. Anyways at least he would be able to stay awake through the class now, because it seemed as if Jynx wasn't at all near sleep like he had been when he first arrived to the class. "What have you been up to?" he asked in a friendly tone.

Jynx just watched as Matty walked into the class. He was sure that she was going to come and sit up by him and Ty but apparently he was wrong. He wasn’t really mad that she hadn’t set by him it was more of a curiosity about why she didn’t. But hey he had seen her all day in every other class so he didn’t worry about it to long. When she turned around and waved at him he smiled and waved back. “Not much, just the usual class routine,” Jynx said in reply to Ty’s question. “How about you, have you done anything fun today?”he continued taking his gaze off of Matty and looking over in Ty’s direction.

David let a wide yawn escape his rather small mouth before answering Matty's question. He answered slightly drowsily with a sip of his Hot Cocoa, "'F course not. If I could, I wouldn't have Ruffles, right?" Rising his left eyebrow expressivly, the third-years remarkable blue eyes caught his fellow student's kiwi eyes before he grinned, letting one dimple appear in his right cheek before he looked back over at the door. "Bloody hell, where is she?" He said aloud to himself ('himself' meaning quite loud) before he began making the same faces as he had done in Potions Class.

((Bahahahaha, you went and looked at my App. to find out her eye colour didn't you... That sweet in a way )) What was wrong with the boy? Meh anyway, at least he had personality. As he smiled back at Matty, she noticed a dimple on the right hand side of his cheek, also his brilliant blue eyes. "So i haven't caught you name yet, mid throwing it by me?" she said smirking at him. But then at his sudden outburst, she slightly flinched, before leaning back on the table a bit behind his seat. Quickly smiled and looking over to Jynx, she gave him a wink before turning back to the coco sipping boy. He was really something different.

Professor Solis entered the room and beamed at her second and third years. She loved this class the best since they seemed to be the most eager to learn. They were also extremely active and asked tons of questions. Today they would map their first stars, it was a big day for them. In her arms held tons of blankets and more hot chocolate. She seemed to be thinking along the same lines of David. It would be a cold night, and it was best to stay warm so no one would catch cold. Besides, since it was their star gazing this year, they might as well have a bit of fun with it.
"Hello students," she said to them cheerfully as she placed the blankets on her desk. A tray of hot chocolate levitated next to her, and not a single drop was spilled. "Please help yourself to blankets and hot chocolate. Today will be a rather easygoing lesson. I will begin class shortly, so if you have any questions about what we've learned so far or anything at all, please ask me now."
She was happy to see her students so eager and awake during midnight.

“Nope, just the same old same old. Running to all of my different classes.” Ty said with a shrug looking around the room to see who Jynx had been looking at. Just then he noticed the professor coming into the room carrying an armful of blankets and levitating a tray of hot chocolate next to her making her way to her desk. When she said that they could help themselves to a cup of hot chocolate he grinned.
The hot chocolate would be nice and so would the blanket, but he thought if he had a blanket then he would probably fall asleep right on the spot and that was no good so he would refrain from getting himself one those.
Getting up from his seat he asked, “Want me to grab you anything while I am at it?”

Jynx glanced back in Matty’s direction just in time to see her wink at him he smiled back in her direction before turning his attention back to Ty. “Ya not much else to do,” Jynx said as his attention was drawn to the front of the class and to what the professor was saying. Hot chocolate what a great idea, he could always do with a nice big cup of steaming hot chocolate.
“Sure,” Jynx said with a smile as Ty offered to go and get it for them. “I’ll just have whatever you are having, as long as a cup of hot chocolate is included in that.” He didn’t care if he had a blanket or not so he would just go with what Ty had decided.

“Ya hot chocolate is included in that,” Ty said laughing as he turned to go adding, “Be back in min.” He made his way down to where that professor’s desk was sitting and grabbed two cups of hot chocolate. It was probably a good thing that neither himself or Jynx wanted a blanket because he was pretty sure that he wouldn’t have been able to carry one up with him along with the two cups of hot chocolate without causing some kind of a mess. “Thanks,” he said in Solis’s direction as he turned to go back to his seat.
