Rachel yawned. Usually, she was used to giving midnight lessons, and even staying up, but today, she was just plain knackered. The woman had spent ages planning her lessons, making sure that there would be enough telescopes for everyone, not that they would be using them. Tonights first years class was going to be a theoretical lesson, as apposed to a practical, and the main topic would be ‘What is Astromony’.
Folding her arms on her desk, she clicked her tongue. It always seemed to take forever for the lesson to begin, and there was nothing that the girl could do, unless she risked coming to the lesson late. She really liked the job that she had scored herself, but of course, she wasn’t sure whether or not she was going well. It was just one of those things, where she wouldn’t know unless someone told her, and, being the quiet woman that she was, she would never ask, anyone.
The blonde opened her book, waiting for the children to arrive. First years were her favourite class, and she hoped that this class was going to be a fun, memorable one.

Midnight crisis. But, it was all cool. He hardly gotten into trouble with Chris, since they sat beside each other in the class. Funny thing about it that he threw a paper ball at Chris in this class and did not get caught. Oh well, he didn't mind it at all. In fact, he might do it again, but he didn't know, he didn't wanna risk Hufflepuff any house points or his spot off the Quidditch team. Speaking of that, he had practice in the morning. That was going to stink.
He made his way inside the classroom, to find he was the first one in the class. Not sure why, but he wasn't tired at all. He took a seat at his assigned seat and waved at the professor. "Hello, Professor Kinsley. How was your, um, day yesterday?" he asked with a cute, little smiling grin. Meaning yesterday, since it was midnight, or close to it.

While she had dedicated a lot of her time to exploring the castle, Izzy had yet to check out the Astronomy Tower. Tonight would be her first night there, but her purpose for being up in the tower wasn't to explore. She had her first Astronomy class tonight, so she assumed that all of their time would be spent at the very top of the tower, watching stars or something like that. The first year wasn't entirely sure what the class would be doing... she knew that the word "astronomy" had something to do with stars and whatnot, but that's where her knowledge on the subject ended. She supposed that by the end of the year she'd have a better understanding of the subject... she would have to, especially since she'd be paying attention and working her bum off for the next seven months in order to make up for the pathetic lack of house points Gryffindor had. She needed to make sure that she tried her best in all of her classes and wouldn't break any rules...
...Which meant that she couldn't explore the tower after class was over. It was imperative that all students stay in their common rooms at night, the only exception being if they had an Astronomy class. Even then, they were expected to return to their designated common room as soon as the lesson ended. Izzy had heard that the staff was pretty strict about students wandering the castle at night, so she didn't want to risk it. She'd just have to do some exploring during the day.
Izzy entered the classroom, somewhat surprised to see that there was a ceiling. She could've sworn that a student had told her that the lessons took place outside at the top of the tower, but that wasn't the cast tonight, at least. However, that was fine with Izzy. It was November now, and it was chilly outside. The Gryffindor had never appreciated cold weather, so she was somewhat grateful that the class would be indoors tonight.
She wasn't too grateful about her assigned seat, though. The seat in the front row wasn't exactly her first choice, but she would have to deal with it. After placing her messenger back on top of her desk, Izzy smiled at the Professor and then slid into her seat, at which point she began taking out the necessary items for the class - parchment, a quill, etc.
