Adelaide glided into the classroom with a graceful gait, her great blue eyes flashing. Tonight promised to be an exciting night, that was for sure. They were to begin the year off with a bang...The Big Bang, to be precise. She sighed as she tucked a brunette lock behind her ear. It was good to be in a classroom again. The best part of her job was the fact that she had the ability to open young minds to fresh and new ideas, to help them form new opinions on some of the universe's greatest mysteries.
She anxiously awaited her young students, ready to tackle the rather large topic. She wondered in the back of her mind if it was too big an issue to be talking about, too controversial or overwhelming. Only time would tell, she supposed. She took a seat in her large cushioned chair, the deepest of navy blues. It sunk under her weight, but only a small bit; she was rather light. There were other chairs in the room, not as cushy but not terribly hard either. She didn't want her students too uncomfortable. They were backed with a bit of the same material as her own chair, and were positioned in front of her in a semi-circle. The large telescopes sat behind the semi-circle, gleaming and ready for use. She sat there in the dimly lit room and awaited her students eagerly, hoping that they too were ready for class.

While Izzy was definitely not a morning person, she wasn't much of a night owl, either. The twelve-year-old was always passed out in her bed by ten o'clock at night, with very few exceptions, one being New Year's Eve, a night she always tried to stay awake for. The other exception was only a recent one that began last year. For some reason, Hogwarts Astronomy classes had to be scheduled in the dead of night... something that Izzy, in her first year, had some trouble getting used to. In fact, the red head still had some difficulty with it, as evidenced by her current state.
As the Gryffindor climbed up the Astronomy tower, she yawned loudly, frightening one of the portraits on the wall of the tower staircase. "Sorry," she mumbled to the jumpy man in the picture as she continued her journey, buttoning up her robes as she went. Normally, she left the black cloak open, but not tonight, for Izzy wasn't wearing the rest of the school uniform underneath - instead, the second year was in her pajamas, ready to go to bed the second that the Astronomy class was dismissed.
Only after a brief pause to check her appearance outside the classroom door, did Izzy enter the Astronomy room. Much to her surprise, she seemed to be the first one to arrive... and it seemed that they had a new professor. After all, the woman sitting at the front of the room certainly wasn't Professor Kinsley.
"Err... hello," Izzy said cautiously, unsure what to make of the new Professor. Was she strict? Friendly? She hoped for the latter.
