It was weird to call himself a seventh year. It was even weirder for the boy to call himself a prefect. Dragos couldn't believe he'd landed that one, but it was only because of Charlie. Well, the old Charlie. Whoever this new Charlie was, certainly was not the girl Dragos knew and liked. The old Charlie was a cool bad ass who helped him break into the dungeons and didn't even turn him in. This new chick was girly and asked him to kiss her. Only then did she inform him that she was with someone. If Dragos hadn't been raised better, he could have smacked her.
Shaking his head, trying to forget, the Croatian boy strolled down the seventh floor corridor just after curfew, doing his prefect duties. He'd made sure he was on this floor so he could be as far away from the dungeons as possible, because it was most likely that Charlie would stay near there. But he really didn't know where she was. And he didn't care. She wasn't here and that was all that mattered.

Well, curfew it may have been, but Felicity was unaware of the time. Making her way from the library with a few well-chosen books in hand for the research she and Celina were conducting, she didn't bother rushing. Never one for a watch, Felicity still believed she had a good few minutes to make it the rest of the way to the towers and into the Gryffindor common room to finish reading the pages she'd been forced to miss because the library had closed.
However, once more the stairs had moved on her. Last time she'd been on the sixth floor corridor, not a problem. Now she was in the seventh floor corridor and without a nose for directions. Rather than aimlessly walk around in search of a new passage to get to her destination, she decided to plop down on the floor and wait for the staircase to move back. After all, she was a newer student, she didn't know her way around all that well, how much trouble could she really get in? The blond was merely waiting for the arrival of her carriage to be able to get back, without it she would have been wandering. Wandering usually meant a purpose for being out of the House, nope she was waiting.
Opening one of the books she'd borrowed, she read through a few of the lines. It was interesting, mostly talking about potions that could aid in finding a love for one. Not exactly what she wanted, but it was close enough. Spell, potion, when it came down to it they were for the same thing. Finding a love, or in Felicity's case figuring out what it was she felt.

What a dead night. Dragos was hoping for a bust, but he wasn't so lucky. Everyone seemed to be back in their Common Rooms already. Either that, or they were smart enough to wander near them and make a quick run back to where they were supposed to be at this hour. Still, Dragos was obligated to do his job and patrol for a little longer before he could call it a night.
Nearing the stairs, Dragos noticed a girl that had taken up residence on the floor and was now reading. He raised an eyebrow, wondering who she thought she was to be hanging around after curfew and making it so obvious. Straightening out his robes, Dragos tried to push down his untidy blond hair before he walked up to the girl. "What are you doing?" the Slytherin prefect asked the girl.

"Reading," she replied quite simply without bothering to look up. As if it wasn't obvious what she was doing. There were four books off to the side of her, an open one in her arms, did he really feel the need to ask? Continuing to move her light brown eyes along the words on the page, she didn't say anything more. The Gryffindor had no reason to be plagued by questions, she was sure she still had more than enough time to get to her common room; and the stairs liked to take their time in making rounds. Felicity just figured she'd have enough time to get back when they finally made their way back to the floor she was on.
Absorbing the information from the book, she wondered why the boy had felt the need to ask what it was she was doing. Tearing her eyes away from the page, she glanced up at the boy and noticed his badge. Another Prefect, perfect. At least she hadn't met this one to her recollection.
"Am I not allowed to be reading on this floor?" Simple question; either the girl needed to invest in a watch, or she needed to become more aware of things.

Dragos frowned slightly at her answer and leaned against the wall, crossing his arms and crossing one leg over the other, watching her. She hadn't looked up and he guessed she didn't know what time it was. The girl was lucky that Dragos was in a better mood than he'd been in in a long time, or else he would have turned her in right then and there. But that might still change.
"You can read anywhere you want but ideally, you should be reading in your Common Room," Dragos replied, his tone just as nonchalant as hers, "Because you should have been in there....14 minutes ago."

Realization flew through her eyes when he mentioned the time. Just wonderful, all I need now is to lose the House some points. Looking straight at the boy now, she wondered if he would really take away points because she was waiting for the stairs. Felicity could always go into a banter of how bad she was with getting lost, and that she thought it would have been better if she waited for the one route she knew to clear, but she didn't.
"Well, I would have been there had the stairs not taken off," she replied with a small quirky smile. "Or if I knew another way to get there I might've been there by now."

A snicker escaped the prefect at the girl's excuse. The stairs had run off. Priceless. "Yeah, they'll do that," Dragos agreed with a nod. He smiled at the girl, but there was also a hint of worry. He really should be taking points away, but she seemed genuine with her story so he was unsure. He hadn't been a prefect that long so he didn't know if he was even allowed to let her off or not.
"How long have you been waiting?" Dragos asked her, looking at where the staircase had once existed.

"Not long," she replied. Really she wasn't sure how long she'd been sitting there, quickly glancing down at the page number she was on, she noticed she was about three pages in from where she'd started. That didn't help. "I'd say no more than fifteen minutes or so."
All right, she really had no idea. The blond wasn't good at measuring time, not was she an extremely fast reader, so it could've been longer than that. But the stairs always came around eventually, right? Looking back up at the boy, she smiled again, at least he hadn't taken points away yet.
"So, you're a Slytherin Prefect?" she asked. He had on the robes, but that didn't mean anything. After all, they were teenagers, pranks and abuse of other's robes were almost a certainty if one could get their hands on them.

"Alright," Dragos said finally, "You probably could have been back in your Common Room by then, so I'll let you go this time. Just don't let me catch you again." His tone was light and playful and he winked at her as well, flashing a friendly smile. It was keeping his mind off Charlie, so he continued to be nice.
"Yeah, just appointed this year," the Croatian Slytherin explained, almost proudly as he looked down at his badge on his robes. For a change, they weren't crumpled and he actually looked neat. Except for his tattered shoes. That would never change. "Seventh year as well," he continued, "What year are you?"

Returning his smile with her own, she giggled slightly at his tone of voice when he warned her. Yes, she was going like him, he was nice. Deciding to return the playful banter she added, "I'll do my best not to be caught by you next time."
Proud indeed, both his voice and his face showed his emotion on being appointed such. "It's my first year here, but I'm in the fifth year," she answered his question. "Gryffindor House," she explained not having been in robes. Again, she'd opted for jeans and a shirt, she didn't have classes so there was no need for the silly things.
"And I'm Felicity Hjort by the way," she added with another smile.

Celina couldn't believe that it was past curfew. She had to do it though, she couldn't pass up the only free minutes she had to check out the Room of Requirement. If the spell didn't work out tomorrow night, then she was done for.
Flick, swish, figure eight. Not a second more, or a minute late. To find the girl, her one true date. That was it! She had finally gotten it. The spell, and swishing. But then why was it that she couldn't relax her mind? It had to be the fact that she could get in so much trouble for being out. However, now the room was set, the time was set, the details were studied. Only a few more hours and she'd be sleeping, and probably having nightmares about this. Just great, Celina thought to herself as she noticed a familiar voice in the distant.
Celina didn't even think about stopping as she turned the corner. It was Felicity's voice, she could tell that from miles away. The other voice, however, was different. Celina should have known it would be another Prefect. Damn, Felicity! Celina thought to herself throwing a glare at the Gryffindor and a horrorstruck 'this-isn't-what-it-looks-like' look at the Slyterin Prefect.

"Pleasure to meet you, Felicity," Dragos greeted her with another friendly smile. He laughed when she said she'd do her best to not get caught next time and he rolled his eyes. Dragos felt as though he needn't portray the superiority any more, so he slid down the wall he was leaning against and joined the Gryffindor on the floor. "I'm Dragos," he introduced himself, "Dragos Miloševic. Don't worry about pronouncing that. It's a mouthful." He chuckled softly, finding it amusing that almost no one could pronounce his name properly.
"What are you reading?" the prefect asked curiously.

"It's also nice to meet you Dragos," she smiled warmly at the boy trying not to think of pronouncing his name in her head. Yes, she heard him say it, but that didn't mean she'd really caught it; after all, she was a bit distracted by the person who came around the corner. Trying to tell the girl to go back with her eyes without making it too obvious, she returned her attention back to the Slytherin, maybe she could provide a bit of distraction? He did ask a question.
"I'm reading about potions," she began. "Love potions...well, love in general I guess." Why couldn't she be quicker to think on her feet? "You see I've been researching love and I was in the library trying to figure out just what love is. So, I got out these books," she gestured at the pile. Curious titles, none as curious as the one's Celina had chosen, but still strange all the same. "And love spells. Not that I'd ever use one," she quickly added, brown eyes wide. "I'm just doing research."

Celina noticed the girls eyes almost yelling at her to get around the wall. Maybe, if she were lucky, the Slytherin wasn't as perceptive when it came to those who stood behind him. Almost moon walking, she quietly slid her shoes backwards to get around the corner of the hall. Please, please, please...don't hear me, she pleaded inside her head. All she needed was something to prevent her from being able to help Felicity with tomorrow's spell work...what if she did it by herself?! Celina could only see disaster on that scenerio.
As she hid behind the wall, she closed her eyes and put her head down, leaning it on her chest. Her long, dark hair fell gracefully around her face as if trying to conceal the fact that she hid in the shadows. Maybe he didn't notice her...maybe Felicitiy's beauty and books would catch his attention long enough for her to figure out a way back to Ravenclaw without being noticed. Think, bird! Think! She commanded herself as she wrapped her arms around herself.

Dragos raised a curious eyebrow, but said nothing about it because he'd caught the girl's eye and watched what she was doing. Looking in the direction she'd glared in, Dragos saw the swish of a cloak jumping behind the wall. He looked curiously for a moment, but there was no other sign of movement. Maybe he'd just thought he'd seen something and read Felicity's gaze wrong. His wary eyes lingered for a moment before turning back to the girl.
The Slytherin Prefect was about to say something about the books, but his curiosity got the better of him. "Did you see something over there?" he asked the Gryffindor, standing up before he even got an answer. Pulling his wand out, Dragos pointed it out in front of him as he walked toward where he had seen the movement. It was probably nothing.
