Today Snake was dressed in her black leather combat boots that came up to her calves, a checkered mini-skirt, a low v-cut purple shirt that showed off her bellybutton ring with fishnet sleeves, and black fingerless climbing gloves. Her jewelry today was a safety-pin necklace, a silver dog-tag with “SNAKE” on it, jelly “sex” bracelets crisscrossed up to her elbows on both arms. She had a dolphin in the top piercing of her left ear, and in the bottom three spots, on both sides, she wore a black, a red, and a dark blue jewel, and her bellybutton ring was a dangly with roses. Her hair was stylishly messy, her dark blue eyes accented with black eye-liner, and dark red lipstick was carefully applied to her lips.
This look alone would have gotten her kicked out of Nicks, she was so glad to be out of there, and glad to be away from her family. A new beginning was all this fifteen year old fourth year needed. She stood outside the giant oak doors and closed her eyes for a moment, determined to think positive so she would be positive so her life at this school wouldn’t turn out to be as horrible as it was in most other places. She readjusted her shoulder pack full of the items she couldn’t live without while her stuff was sent ahead to this place.
Alright. She opened the doors and determinately marched inside only to stop a few feet within the entrance and stand in awe at the pure size of everything. I bet it echo’s in here really well. However she was not about to try it. She grinned to herself and set up the stairs. As she passed one door she could smell food and the chatter of many students, dinner was taking place. This was a good thing because it meant less people to bother her while she was finding the way to her common room and, most probably, getting lost.
“Seventh floor…” She mumbled as she walked.
An amount of time later she was standing in a corridor of the seventh floor and just staring out the window, enjoying the beauty of her new surroundings and taking time to reflect. As she looked out she heard footsteps…

Breathing. Check. Consciousness. Check. No throbbing pains, wounds or broken bones. Check. Heck, Matty was fine, physically. Mentally, maybe the girl had taken a better turn since yesterday. Alright, so that whole 'Star-Gazing' thing form Inside the Room of Requirement had gotten to her, now was she intrigued to try and get there every day, but almost obsessed by gazing out into the fake space in every spare moment. The truth behind it was, it reminded her of her mother, father and Daniel. Merlin, now and then she even hoped that Lucas would be in there, maybe she could talk to him again soon.
But there she was, emerging out of the door in the wall, looking as gorgeous as ever. Wearing a green halter neck that tightened a few inches above her belly-button, then flowed down to just above her knee, Matty was feeling proud. The dress was sort of a vertically gathered material, with a silver stripe coming from the top of the dress, where a V was cut in the middle, down to where it ended above her knees. Resting on her feet were a pair of silver slip-on shoes. Matty's golden hair was flowing out on her shoulders as she walked gracefully away from the door, and down the corridor. Finally, to complement everything she was wearing, a dark green jewel was hanging on a silver chain around Matty's neck. The jewel was a gift from her ex-boyfriend, Jynx, yet she stilled wore it to remember their good times together.
As the Fourth year continued to walk with her head down, the girl didn't register another person in the corridor. Her green eyes looking up in the nick of time. Grunting slightly, the Hufflepuff side-stepped the girl, before straighting up and walking over to her. "You okay?" the girl said in a kind voice, eyes the girl with curiosity.

The footsteps got closer but Snake didn’t care, she was lost in the moment, which happened to quite often. She was lost do deep in through that she didn’t even notice she had almost been run into and was not stirred until the other girl spoke and even then it took a moment to register.
“Hu…” Half escaped Snake’s mouth before her brain caught up with her mouth and the rest of her. “Oh…yeah…I’m fine.” She said, her voice had an almost dreamy quality to it. She examined the rather attractive girl in front of her how looked to be about the same age. Snake was rather puzzled by her attire but then she remembered that there was a dance tonight, Snake figured that the girl must be dressed for the dance. She waved away her odd behavor with a small half-laugh at herself and a small shake of her head and flared ehr eyes a small bit for just part of a second.
She gave a friendly smile to the other girl, her eyes returning from Matty’s feet back to her face in a full body scan. “Um...Hi, I’m Snake.” She offered her hand, her voice still slightly dreamy and with a silky soft quality to it.

As the girl managed to get out a small response, Matty was slightly more relieved. Thank Merlin that girl wasn't a ghost caught in remembrance, unfortunately the Hufflepuff had only had bad times in that situation. However as the girl's green eyes faintly scanned over the girl, something registered in her head. In her time at Hogwarts, the girl hadn't ever come into presence with this girl. She looked interesting. Really interesting in fact. Not notice of the girl seeing what she looked like, the Hufflepuff shook her hand gently before returning it back to her hip.
"I'm Matty. Hufflepuff Fourth Year. You new?" she asked in a cautious tone, turning her head and looking out of the window. The girl should really have been starting to prepare for the Ball that Evening, the only reason she was up there was the fact of getting some extra star-gazing in, and practicing her spell she needed to cast upon herself tonight.

"Yeah..." Snake laughed and looked down at herself, "Am I that obvious?” She chuckled then ran her hand through her short hair, unsure what to say, she hated introductions. “I’m a fourth year as well. But I’m in…oh what was it…something with Griffin in it.”
Snake glanced back out the window; it was so much prettier than her old school, a dull building in the heart of a muggle city in-between to large gray buildings just a boring looking as the school. Back there everything seemed grey but here it was also so vibrant and colorful. She blinked forcefully and looked back at the girl.
“So…are you dressed up for the dance or whatever it is tonight?” Snake asked carefully, if she wasn’t she did not want to offend the girl.

Matty shook her head slightly. "Oh no, it's just that I haven't seen you around, You looked my age and I didn't recognise you. Besides," the girl paused for a second. "If you're a Gryffindor Fourth Year then I'd be sure to know you." the Hufflepuff added with a small grin. As the silence gaped in between them, the girl thought she ought to say something. It wasn't every day that you met someone new, heck, the girl would be in most of Matty's classes, she she should get to know her a bit. However in this time, Snake must have also realized the quietness, because then the Gryffindor girl asked Matty about her clothes choice.
"Haha, nah." the girl said turning back to Snake and smirking slightly. "I was checking to see if I could find my um, date for tonight to find out what we should do if we get there at different times. It's a masked Ball so I doubt we'll be able to find each other at first. I just decided to wear this because it's new and well, I hadn't worn it before." the Hufflepuff said with a slight shrug. "Are you going to the Ball tonight?" she added with a smile.
