(they're going to stage a rebellion soon)
"I shouldn'ta have, though," She protested quietly with a silent shake of the head. "I got my dignity, I got my duty to protect people," she went on as she pounded her fist on her thigh. "I can take 'em on! I've been practicing, Hiro. I got a court right here with dummies and stuff, and I've been practicing attacks and defenses."
She could feel the excitement build up in her as she stated her case. She wanted to be as ready as ever, and have a real victory over the Deva, and gain more than the civilians have lost to their cruel whims. It wasn't her problem to think about it all in a grand scale, where it may have seemed impossible to get her own justice from the Deva. "I'll be ready for them..."

(I think mine's the leader)
Duty to protect people...sound familiar? Hiro's grip loosened as he fought with himself mentally. She has more of a right to join than you do. But I took an oath to keep it a secret, my word is my bond. You think that Charlie wouldn't make a great addition? Of course she would! She's proved herself before time and again. That's not it I can't go back on my word.
"Practicing with dummies?" Hiro said to keep the conversation outside.
There are other ways...
Hiro's gut wrenched a little at the despicable idea he just had. Surely Drew would have taken the same oath and also given his word not to tell but she was one of the few that deserved to know.
"Have you ever talked to Drew about this?" He finally said almost out of the blue. He had only known of two members and he was pretty sure she'd be more comfortable talking with Drew over the headmistress.

She had wild dreams of revolting from the increasing oppression of the Deva, and she imagined herself right there, part of history, and part of an action that would finally satisfy her, and give her the justice needed to recover the dynamic of her family. Although in that future... she didn't imagine Mike there. He was definitely part of the family, but he was gone to get rehabilitated.
It was all something of a daydream, in which it motivated her to keep on working on her spellwork and her physical endurance just as well. Putting it all to good use would come in time, but she couldn't see how and with who she would work it. So it might have confused her when Hiro asked what he asked. "Drew? No... I dunno if he even trains, do you think he know something about it?"

Hiro moved away a little bit frustrated at himself for thinking she might make a connection to such an obscure reference. She wasn't a mind reader and there was no way anyone would have made a connection between what he said and the phoenix regiment...especially if they didn't know about the group. It took everything he had not to break his word and flat out tell her about the organization and had to turn away from her to hide the fact that he literally was biting his tongue. Quickly his mind tried to think of something to say.
"I've heard him train." Hiro added to this surely confusing conversation. "He plans on being an auror so I bet he even has people you could contact." The last part was said not as a possibility but more with a matter-of-fact confidence.

Charlie practically fell over when he let go a little. She felt dumb, as if there was a set amount of time that a couple could kinda hug. It was all one big question mark to her, and it kind of embarrassed her when he moved away some.
"That's right..." She said, in disbelief that she neglected the fact that Drew was aching to be an Auror. The resources were right under her nose, and she was forgetting all about them. And wasn't it true that Raynor used to be an Auror, too? "Wait, who would he know?" What Hiro said interested her. She knew their friend was charismatic, and he had a dad who was in the American magical government.

Charlie seemed to have been using him for support because when he moved away it sounded like she almost fell, which caused Hiro to turn back to her again. He probably looked pretty foolish expecting to catch her when she hadn't actually fallen. Straightening up as if no one had seen him Hiro continued his little scheme.
"He's been in contact with headmistress Raynor I'm sure they've talked about fighting a couple of times." Hiro continued to drop names he knew were a part of the regiment. "Plus, with his experience, he's been in contact with others from what happened to him."
Unlike Charlie, Drew's run in with the Deva was fairly well known, what he had gone through wasn't as secretive as Charlie's experience.

(WHOA! I thought I replied. Sorry)
Charlie nodded slowly as she readjusted herself in her indian style pose. "Yeah... yeah, I guess that makes sense. I, uh, won't talk to Raynor yet, though," She said, unable to make an excuse, so she left it at that. "But I don't think it'll be hard to track down Drew. I'll get to talking to him during class."
Charlie was grateful at Hiro's suggestions, and now that they were talking more business, she had seemed to digress further and further from the high emotions she felt not too long before. If she could instant do this, she would do this more often.
However, now she felt dumb for acting out the way she did. "Dude..." She didn't want to apologize for her behavior. She sincerely didn't. "... Thanks for talking to me."

(again computer hates me ) Getting Charlie to talk about her deep problems was a rare pleasure. Even though it was unfortunate that she had problems Hiro couldn't help but feel a little good when she trusted him enough to share those problems. Hiro would have time to ponder his morals later on though. Right now he needed to be here for his girlfriend, whom he moved to sit next to again after his sudden retreat. "Of course." Hiro said simply as if she should have known he'd be there for her. "What kind of boyfriend would I be if I couldn't be there for you?"

(AHHH @(*$##&@_+@!!! I'm sorry, I'm being very irresponsible with my RPing right now)
"You wouldn't be my boyfriend, that's for sure," Charlie replied, saying it matter-of-factly along with her smirk. She wasn't sure how correct that would have been. Sure, she had no idea that she needed emotional support of some kind, but did she herself think she needed it? The answer was more likely no; then again, she didn't think she was able to hold up a relationship this long, let alone her first one.
"Dunno what I could really offer you 'cept qudditch and trouble," she added, feeling like a dunce as always when it came down to it. She had always been "one of the guys", but ultimately she didn't know what guys want. It was an ironic feeling, a puzzle she could grasp.

(I hear that)
Hiro let out a small (semi-nervous) chuckle at her first statement. It had caught him off guard that she'd actually answer his question...and the fact that it seemed a little threatening wasn't reassuring. If he was thrown off by the first statement then the second most have hit him like a ton of bricks. Sure there was a few problems with the relationship (not all caused by her) but to think that was all she gave him was nowhere near accurate.
"You give me so much more than just trouble." Hiro said with all sincerity as he placed a hand on her soft warm cheek, pushing away a little bit of hair from her face.

Funny-- whenever her brothers talked about their relationships, they always liked to mention the part about their heart fluttering at the same time that their heads felt lightheaded. Charlie wouldn't have ever known what they talked about until that time when Hiro's hand was on her cheek. She had a delay, but it hit her within one second, and she couldn't know what to do with herself. If only she had a real gameplan on what to do. For now, it would have to take some improvisation.
Charlie was partly speechless. "Yuh-- I mean... aft-- uh, wh-wha--damn..." She had to get a good grasp on the fake grass beneath them just to avoid stuttering so much. After that failed attempt, she sort of just gave a nervous laugh. "I ain't good at this..."

Like he was? He had learned that attempting to talk during moments like this was futile, hence why he finished his sentence before placing his hand where it was. Once his hand was in place all systems seemed to shut down, well except for his heart which felt like it might break through his rib cage at any moment. After what seemed like an eternity the voice in his head finally told him to go for it, it was now or never.
Hiro's mind raced for something to say but in the end words weren't going to do anything. All he could do was smile a little before pressing his lips against hers.

Whoa. Charlie hadn't realized how much she had wanted to do this, novice or not. This was her first official kiss, to her first boyfriend... she couldn't tell how much more lightheaded she could get before she could float to the high vaulted ceiling.
But the minute her lips touched his, she was struck with a chord of panic. How did anyone do this right? She'd had the displeasure in the past of seeing people kiss, but she never ever studied them. Now she wished she had. Was she supposed to have her eyes wide open like she did now? Was her nose supposed to collide with his nose as it did? And she was afraid of opening her mouth-- for once she wondered if she had too much saliva going on. Everything was coming at a technical standpoint, and it highly distracted her.
She had to pull away. "Wait-- uh... am I doin' it right?" It sounded ridiculous to ask that question, and she would have liked to say something nice... but she felt like she was failing at kissing. And she hated to fail.

Now it was Charlie's turn to pull away suddenly. And like before now it was Hiro's turn to look foolish as she did. There are a number of ways a first kiss can go but interrupted by that question wasn't how he thought it would happen. Now despite the warmth of her lips it almost felt like kissing a statue, she was cold and distant and for a horrible moment he missed how Amber used to kiss him. That thought was quickly pushed aside when he realized that, despite his tilted head their noses had prevented a better kiss. Of course this was probably what he was like the first time around and now he realized how pathetic he must have been.
Being the genius that he was though Hiro could only say one thing... "That was perfect." Honesty may be the best policy but he was a fool in love and couldn't think straight.

Charlie kept contemplating it over and over, as if it was playback that she had to improve. Not unusual-- if something could emulate a game plan, it would be a game plan. It was the only way of life for her. She couldn't shake her doubts. "Wait... really?" Charlie had to pause there for a second. "I mean, I did a'right there?" She didn't want to be convinced too easily. If she was feeling awkward, she knew it wasn't making it in any better. There was only one true method...
"D'yeh think we should keep practicing?" She asked quite innocently and assertively.
