The sooner that Charlie was off and out from the towers, the faster she ran. She wanted to be on the ground running-- literally. With a sports junkie like her, she needed her dose of adrenaline. Even more so the run to think about what to do just wasn´t enough. She wasn´t so sure she wanted to fly her broom anymore. In fact, a better idea came to mind...
Quickly she jumbled downstairs to the seventh floor and came by the familiar sight. In a sudden halt, she thought long and hard about what she wanted to do. She desired it so much that she expressed it outloud. "I want somewhere to fly and fight!" Her light pants became the only sound as a thick wooden door molded itself to the wall, jutting out a doorknob that she promptly opened. Immediately she was home sweet home, and she held on longer to the door, before promptly going in.
Inside held something like a super gym, where a huge, dark, multicolored course was just beyond and accomodated fliers. Closer to the door, though, it was something like an enclosed white mini-arena, where foam dummies held their stance of attack. To the right there was a small wooden doorway, which led out to the library, specifically so that she could get right into defense and offense magicwork.
Yes, what she admired was this place that she might have only used but two times. She had meant to tell her friends about it, and perhaps her team in order to work against the qudditch slow-down. Tonight, though, she held it to herself, keeping herself busy with the first reveal of her wand and a quick yell of a charm that pinned the first dummy´s arm behind its back.

Getting out of the towers took longer than Felicity would have thought, but with the darkness, and she still peering around corners before actually going around them slowed her down some too. Charlie was Drew's friend, she had to apologize to her, she hadn't meant to ruin the girl's night, her birthday party, but really Drew could very well have gone off and raced the Slytherin. Since Hiro had said she would stay there with him, she wasn't going to jump up and take off as soon as the two were out of sight. Why couldn't he have just gone? It would have made the whole situation so much better.
As soon as she was away from the stairs, on a floor that had few turns, her eyes saw at the end of the corridor the departing figure she was trying to catch. Would she really be able to overcome the girl before she made it to her presumed destination, the dungeons? Felicity hated them more than any place in the castle, they were so dark and dim she had troubles finding her way at times. The one time she wandered down after Sammy, she ran into a rather annoying Slytherin, though she found him intriguing at the same time. The only real reason the blonde found the boy highly annoying was because he called her chuckles.
Running as fast as she dared to, creeping by areas that gave her shivers, Felicity kept on her track.
It wasn't long before she heard the vocals of the girl. As hoarse and rude as it had been when she started throwing her fit about Drew not wanting to race because Felicity didn't want to. Why in the world she was shouting about fighting, Felicity didn't know, but she really hoped Charlie wasn't threatening her. All she wanted to do was apologize, and really, while she knew she could probably hold her own for a little bit, she doubted she'd be able to actually win in a fight against the Slytherin.
Running faster, a praying to Merlin she wasn't going to hit her, she saw a figure disappear inside a door she knew. It was the same door that lead to the place where Drew took her on their first date.
Reaching the doorway, she paused to catch her breath before sticking her head around the corner to look. Charlie was there, inside a magnificent looking place. Without saying a word, she stepped inside and just looked at everything. However, her amazement didn't last long when she heard the yell and she turned her head sharply to watch.
Yes, it was easy to say Felicity was pretty much terrified at the moment. If Charlie was willing to attack with her wand, what if she turned to attack her? There was no way she could win if it came to the use of wands, and she really doubted she could win in the use of fists. But, she could imagine Charlie imagining Felicity's head being on those dummies.
"Ummm..." she gave a small cough, almost wishing the girl wouldn't hear her. "Charlie...?"

Charlie had her ambitions rise more and more as the dummies came alive one by one, dummy wands in hand, and ready to get at her. She was mostly ready for them, though, and had just achieved a great body-bind. "YES!" She exclaimed, giving a self-satisfied chuckle. She didn´t have any time to celebrate the curse that she had a problem with before that, for another dummy came her way. She threw a Confundus Charm to it and it foolishly stumbled away before she put that one in a body bind.
Her focus was narrowed to just getting these techniques down when she heard soft spoken words that sounded familiar."What the hell do you want?!" She yelled without even looking at Felicity, since she wasn´t sure how she could control her power if she turned her attention on the Gryffindor. "How´d the hell you get her--" She stunned the oncoming dummy.

Just watching the Slytherin sent chills down her spine. Was she really that angry? And if she was, would she turn it around on her? Felicity really hoped not, but for some reason she didn't think she'd be surprised either if the girl did. About the only thing keeping her there, not allowing her turn about face and run out, was the fact she was Drew's friend. Drew would be sure to be angry with her if Charlie stayed angry at him, and the only way to possibly make it up to Drew was by apologizing to the, slowly becoming frightening, sixth year.
Biting hard on her lip, jumping at the girl's words, and panicking all over again, she didn't know what to say for a moment. The girl was swearing again, and Felicity absolutely hated that. Not only once, but twice. Barking her questions, rude as before, and Felicity was absolutely astounded by the behaviour.
"I followed you from the tower because I wanted to apologize," she answered with a bite, finding her voice again. "I didn't mean to ruin your fun, but it looks like you're getting it right now." And if she considered this to be fun, Felicity was quite glad she turned down the racing using wands. Just imagining racing this girl made Felicity have to hold back another shiver. The blonde could see Charlie hexing her into oblivion easily.

Charlie took aim at the next dummy while hearing what Felicity had to say, except she only selectively heard her. If anything, it was her tone and the last comment. Something about it distracted her, not because she was looking for a greater meaning, but because she suddenly felt that she had to defend it.
She turned in her bout of distraction and pointed a finger at the Gryffindor. "Listen up, Gryffindo--" She was interrupted not by her instinct to shoot a curse, but by the fact that the dummy had dominated over her and had since then tackled her to the ground, effectively moving the wand out of her hand. She wrestled the dummy, trying to get at her wand again, but the attempt was futile. The dummies had more strength than one could underestimate, and Charlie reckoned it would take twenty minutes to get out of the jam. Again.

As soon as Charlie spun around, Felicity was ready to run as fast as she could. The wand was still in her hand, and while Felicity had hers with her, it wasn't much use. Eyes wide, she gulped, her tone harshened a little bit and the blonde could almost feel the heat of anger (was it) rush from her, but a huge wave of relief swept over her when she was attacked by the thing she had been attacking mere seconds before. For a moment, she thought the Slytherin was going to easily get rid of the thing, but was (pleasantly) surprised when it overcame her and knocked the wand from her hand.
Torn between watching the tussle continue, leaving, and actually helping, Felicity nervously chewed on her bottom lip. The door was only inches from where she stood, Charlie was a good leap and bound, but Drew's words if she left the Slytherin without at least offering her assistance were already pouring down on her. Why did he have the need to help people so much? And on top of that, make her feel the need to help, too?
"Do...Do you want a little help?" she asked cautiously. Really, she almost hoped the girl would tell her off so she could stalk out, but even then, she knew Felicity wouldn't be able to.

Charlie was hoping she could pry the dummy off of her, but it wasn´t going to happen soon if she didn´t have her wand. This slip of a mistake had happened a few times before and she aws sure that she couldn´t start up with wandless magic in a time of panic, so it was usually up to her to physically get out of the hold that the dummies put her in, grab her wand, and shriek out a spell. She gritted her teeth in defeat, thinking it was going to be worth a try to stop this nuisance. Exasperated, she yelled at Felicity. "Your wand! Finite Incantatem!! NOW!" There was never time for pleases and thank yous....

Her wand?!?! This wasn't good, not at all. She'd offered her assistance, but not her wand's assistance. What was she supposed to do? Charlie obviously wanted her help, by way of a spell, but did she dare to? What if she hit Charlie instead? What if she hurt the Slytherin? Surely neither Drew nor Hiro would forgive her if she did...and neither would Charlie. But if she didn't do something Charlie wouldn't forgive her anyway.
Biting down hard on her lip she tried her best not to panic. Now? Why now of all times?
Gulping, the blonde held her wand out in front of her, praying she wasn't about to do something stupid. It wasn't even a spell she'd ever heard of before. Keeping her eyes on the dummy attacking the girl, Felicity tried not to shake as she pointed her wand.
Please, whatever you do don't hit Charlie. Please, whatever you do don't hit Charlie. Please, whatever you do don't hit Charlie. It ran through her mind like an endless nightmare, she could see whatever the spell did hit the Slytherin and her end up at St. Mungos because of it.
"Finite Incantatem!" she shouted, not nearly as confident as her voice gave off. However, as per regular, normal standards...fire came shooting from her wand, directly at the thing trying its best to overpower the Slytherin. "Oh no..." she said to herself, praying Charlie wouldn't move. It was headed right at the thing, is she didn't move, she'd be all right...or she hoped.

Charlie heard the words she had instructed on the girl and immediately did her best to guard herself from the spell with the dummy. She kicked its legs up and shifted all of its weight to her head, where she created a guard as the burst of magic headed straight towards them. Everything of hers was covered minus her fingers, but she was sure there was a broad range for the spell to hit the dummy.
And in success, it did. The dummy above lifeless above her, and startled the Slytherin so much so that she threw the dummy off and crawled back to get her wand. Immediately she turned towards Felicity´s direction... and shot a spell behind her. "Terminus alacritas!" Upon contact, a glowing red knob turned and the production of animated dummies slowed to a halt, one of the dummies´ arms swinging limply.
The whole ordeal gave her a headache. Charlie just sat there, her wand at bay now, and her green-blue eyes shooting a direct stare at Felicity. While her face remained annoyed, she wasn´t sure what to say. It wasn´t that the Gryffindor saved her life, she only cut out a really bothersome exercise for her. Yet it still irked her to know that Felicity had just barged into her secret space, as if she needed to play hero.

It worked? It actually worked? Felicity couldn't believe it. All right, so it didn't really work, but she didn't hit Charlie, that was the biggest thing. She doubted the spell she cast was actually supposed to do what she shot at the Slytherin, after all, who in the world would request someone to shoot fire in their direction? Not anyone she could think of. Though, she hoped the Slytherin would ignore that fact Felicity probably screwed up.
When the girl turned toward her as she stood there, Felicity quickly lowered her wand, wanting to show she wasn't going to do anything to her. But then a bit of magic was cast behind her and the girl's eyes were on staring at her. The look on her face made Felicity want to hightail it, but it didn't feel right. She blamed that on Drew, too. After all, why should she care if Charlie didn't like her and was angry at her for mis-performing the spell?
What if she had gotten Charlie? The idea was now in her mind. What if she had screwed up and gotten Charlie with the fire that was shot from her wand and now she was thinking the best way to torture her? "Are...are you all right?"

Charlie's heartbeats slowed to a normal rate as she continued to sit and stare, but it didn't cool her hot-headedness. The Slytherin was getting really good at holding grudges against people, namely Tammy and Amberli. Those two knew how to offend her, they knew how to scheme and they wanted manipulate her. Tammy wasn't malicious like Amber, but she was still a prime example of how she was the object of deep aversion, even if it's been about a year and a half since she's married Charlie's father, and it's been that long since Charlie's been over that.
But why would Charlie hold a grudge against Felicity? It was beyond her. In fact, before she was so rudely interrupted, she was beginning to forget what had happened up in the roof so many moments ago. That's just how she worked. Give her some space to let her reason and justify... and she was over it, ready to play again.
The problem here, though, was that she didn't get time. She didn't get space. Now, here she was-- sitting on the floor, glaring at the Gryffindor... and trying to find another way to get away and retreat.
"I'm fine," She said finally and jumped up, feigning a state of well being despite that she felt bruised in a sore spot on her ribs when the dummy kneed her. Her face strained diligently to not let off such a pained face and she turned to the mini pitch and picked up a broom that was in a container, and mounted it quickly. She said nothing, she just kept on, and began her first round around the pitch.

Felicity remained standing as she looked down upon the older girl. No, she didn't expect a thanks, or any other word of gratitude, but something would've been called for. Even a jab at her wandwork would've sufficed in her mind. But there was nothing, nothing at all. Not one word. That in itself was enough to make the Gryffindor curious about what was going on in the Slytherin's mind. Something had to be moving like clockwork, otherwise she would've said something, right? After all, it was a prime opportunity to do so, and such as she was rather surprised that nothing was happening.
The look from the girl was enough to send the shivers scaling down her spine again, but why in the world if she didn't like her so much did she just sit there? Even a chase would've been more welcome than the complete and udder silence she was getting. There was nothing. Charlie was yelling, she was throwing punches, she was chasing Felicity down like a boar hound, she was just sitting there. What was wrong with the world lately?
While the blonde didn't know Charlie very well, hardly at all, she was having a hard time not seeing her pounding on Felicity.
When Charlie jumped to her feet and took off, grabbing a broom, Felicity followed. No, she wasn't sure she liked the girl too much, but she couldn't just leave her. She'd apologized, or tried to, but it hadn't exactly worked. In fact, it looked like the girl was going to curse her into oblivion for the way she tried to apologize. Walking away wasn't an option though, Drew's nagging voice was in her mind and it wouldn't let her leave.
Instead, she settled for crossing her arms and standing at the miniature pitch, watching Charlie fly expertly.

The feeling of rising up in the air, abandoning all weight in the feet, and the air hitting her in the face was supposed to be therapeutic, and it was supposed to make her feel more focused in her goals not involving anybody she knew (especially one that was below her on the ground). But flying did nothing of the like. She completed a dodge and duck beautifully.... just not perfectly. She narrowed her eyes at the second round and grunted, a mere substitute for words while she flew. This wasn't working out when someone was watching her. Normally, and usually, she could handle audiences and she could handle just one person, but something about Felicity's presence threw her off. Not literally, of course.
She sped up as soon as she entered the second round, grasping at the hope that really making the training intense would make her forget anybody was there. Soon that sounded like a reckless idea-- good if you were in open air, ridiculous if you were in an enclosed area-- and she slowed down meters away from the third round. "You're still here," She remarked loudly, her tone matter-of-fact, casual, yet just a little annoyed, as if she had to remind the Gryffindor where she was, and implied where she should be. Never did she stop her flying. She was still very capable of talking and flying.

Observing the brunette as she made her way around, Felicity's light brown eyes never once left the girl. What if she decided to look away, the Slytherin saw the opportune moment and took it to curse her? Felicity had no way of fighting back, either she'd have to find a way to catch her and get beaten down anyway, or run. The blonde was a pretty fast runner, but Charlie was probably just as fast, and besides, she had a broom she could chase her down on. It was a never-ending vicious cycle.
A technique she'd seen used in Quidditch often enough, one to usually get out of the way of a bludger or another player. Nothing Felicity would be able to complete well enough, but at least she'd picked up on flying well enough to make the Gryffindor House Team.
Lap two, and it looked like her speed increased, or maybe Felicity was seeing things? Perhaps. And then the third lap, and Felicity jumped once more for the evening when she heard the harsh words again. Why was it the Slytherin seemed so bent on scaring her? True, her mum had told her a bit about the rivalries between Gryffindor and Slytherin when she was in school, but what exactly had Felicity done to make her seem so mean? Well, besides ruining hers and Hiro's birthday party.
“You're observant,” Felicity stated after biting back a comment about her being able to see, she didn't want her to think she was being mean to Hiro. Really, she had no problem with the Prefect, in fact, she liked him even more tonight than she had before. And Charlie would be sure to do something if she thought the blonde was saying something about Hiro not being able to see. “I wasn't done talking to you.”

(sorry-- i hadn't forgotten, though)
Charlie gritted her teeth even though she didn't notice. Why would she want to? To do so would remind her very well how she was annoyed with everyone and everything. What she did notice was how she narrowly missed the wall.
After Felicity's comment and before what she imagined to be her skull connecting with the wall, she played it off as she took her hand and bounced off from there to gather more force to get to the middle and stay hovered there. She had a cool poker face about it, and didn't show her alertness for barely crashing into the wall.
"Little ironic, huh?" She said in a thick sarcastic tone. Any fool could have thought it to be an honest testimonial to a coincidence. Except of course it wasn't a coincidence. "'Cause I was."
