Well, here she was in the south tower, attempting to catch some warmth from the sunshine falling through the windows, despite the cold hanging around her. Worry still gnawed at her stomach and Arianna couldn't help wondering if they would ever find Drew again. It was said that the first twenty-four hours were crucial. If the missing person was not found with-in that time, the chances of finding them was slim. Finding them alive was almost improbable. Arianna sincerely hoped those statistics would not hold true this time.
Leaning her head against the wall, her knees pulled tight to her chest, Arianna closed her eyes in an attempt to keep the tears at bay. She thought she had cried herself out already, but somehow she always found more. Drew was like a brother to her and Arianna didn't know how she could handle losing him; if she could do it at all.

In the search of some warmth on the rather cool winter's day, had led Mike Rolen towards the towers and in particular the southern most tower. Yes, some may argue that Mike had been doing to Hogwarts for 6 years and should be accustomed to the cold spring months whereas in actual fact he still hated them and would give anything to have his Australian summers back. Anyway back to the point, Mike needed some warmth and figured that higher was better as he climbed the steps leading into the south tower.
He pushed the door open slowly and his eyes were brought to a familiar form curled up into somewhat of a ball by the window.
"Ari......you ok?"
He asked her, it was quite obvious that the girl wasn't in the best way at that moment and if she wanted to be left alone Mike would oblige.

Arianna heard the door creak open, but paid no mind to it. She was sure that whoever it was would back out and leave her be. It wouldn't be the first time today. Which really was a relief when the person was a giggling girl searching for a private place to hide with her boyfriend. This time, however, the person actually spoke. It wasn't someone Arianna would expect to care, either.
Quickly wiping her cheeks and nose as dry as she could, Arianna sat up, glanced at Mike, then focused on the hem of her long skirt. Her fingers absently picked at a lose thread.
"Yeah," she nodded in response, sniffling again. "Yeah, I'm...I'm fine."

"Doesn't sound that way to me"
He said as he found two chairs nearby and dragged them over, one for him and the other for Ari....that is, if she wanted to sit down and talk about it with him. They weren't friends, but they weren't enemies either.....so what were they.
"Sit....if you want and we can talk"
He said as he sat down in one of the seats and smiled at her.

Arianna sniffed again as she pushed herself off the floor and pulled herself into the offered chair. Normally she wouldn't bother doing anything Mike might suggest, but today she wasn't in the mood to refuse. Once she was in the chair, however, Arianna didn't know what to say. Not only because it was Mike, someone she wasn't inclined to trust, sitting before her, but also because she wasn't sure Drew would want her talking to the boy about the whole situation.
Remaining quiet for a long pause, Arianna continued to stare down at her hands in her lap. Her fingers twiddled for through the stretch of silence then stopped suddenly before a quiet sob escaped her lips. She tried desperately to keep it inside; Mike was one of the last people on earth she would ever want to see her cry, but it was useless. Arianna was soon doubled over in her chair, hiding her face and muffling her crying as best she could.

Mike sat there and watched Ari as she sat there, not speaking and looking down at her hands, nervously twiddling them and then came a rather quiet sob. Mike looked up when he heard it and soon enough Ari was doubled over in the chair, head in her hands......crying. Even though she was trying to cover it up, it was still obvious what was going on.
Mike put a hand on her shoulder in support and said quietly
"There, there Ari.....let it all out, there's no point keeping it all bottled up"

Arianna remained doubled over for...who knows how long. It barely registered that Mike had said anything, but she did feel his hand on her shoulder. In a different state of mind she might've shrugged it off, but she let it remain there for now. She really expected him to get up and leave; it didn't matter to her if he did or not.

"Do you want me to leave you alone Ari?"
He asked her after quite a while of her just letting her tears flow. He didn't really know whether she wanted him there or not, so he decided to ask her.

Finally gaining enough control over herself that she was sure she wouldn't break down again, Arianna sat up and wiped at her face again. She looked a total mess as she stared across the distance between her and Mike and just blinked at him.
"I...I thought you would have left by now," she muttered quietly, lifting her hand once more to swipe at a lone sniffle. "It...it's okay. I don't mind the company, actually."

"Well you know, before I turned over a new leaf I might of......but now"
He said to her with a smile, not really knowing what to say to her and not wanting to ask why she was crying, if she wanted to tell him she would tell him, if not then he would just leave it at that.

"New leaf?" Arianna blinked at the boy again. Her nose scrunched up slightly, but she quickly covered it up with another swipe over her hand and yet another sniffle. Something about Mike's announcement didn't quite sit right with her. Of course, most of the things he did never sat right with Arianna.
"Haven't I heard that one before?" she questioned, lifting an eyebrow at the boy. Now that she had something else to focus on, Arianna was going to avoid the topic of her worries for as long as possible. "One doesn't usually brag about things like that if they're true."

"No....I'm serious, I need to grow up and put my past behind me I have made heaps of mistakes in my life, mistakes i'd like to fix and mistakes i'd like to forget"
He said to her not taking his eyes off her, wanting to prove to her that he was going to do everything in his power to change himself for the better, he didn't know why he wanted to prove it to Ari but she was there and perhaps he could even have her as a friend one day.
"Alot of the things I have done over the last few years I am ashamed of, the whole thing with Krissy was a mistake and we are much better off as friends now than when we were dating"

Arianna wasn't sure she should really believe Mike. Maybe he did want to change, but if he did, why was he always moving from one girl to the next as though they were just...well, she couldn't think of a proper word that wouldn't make her own friend sounded like a bad person.
"So how 'bout we start with not finding a new girlfriend barely a week after breaking up with the last one?" she questioned, raising an eyebrow at Mike. Okay, maybe it was a bit harsh, but Arianna felt she needed to say it. You'd think the boy had no feelings for others. He didn't kiss and tell, but he was an expert at kissing and tossing. "Really, what I'm trying to say is that you can keep telling yourself and everyone else that you've changed, but that doesn't mean anything. I can tell myself that my hair is blonde when it's obviously not. And it's not going to be unless I do something with it. And if I do, I won't need to go around telling everyone I've changed my hair. They'll notice before I mention it. So you can go on telling me that you've changed your ways, but I'm not going to believe it until I see it."

Mike took in every word that Ari said and took them to heart, all that she had just said was straight forward, he shouldn't be going around saying that he had changed and he was leaving his past behind him, he should just do it and let his actions do the talking. His first step would be to treat Seanna as a princess, like she should be and to remain 100% faithful to her. He wouldn't lie to anyone about anything, he would speak his mind and remain quiet if he had nothing nice to say.
Last but not least he would control his anger, and not try to or start fights with other students....but all through this he would need support from not only Seanna but his friends, no matter how slim his group of friends was.
"Thankyou Ari, everything you just said then summed up everything I need to do, I can't just tell everyone that i've changed, I have to let my actions do the talking for me"

"Right," Arianna offered a small half-smile. She didn't know Mike well enough to know if her words were getting through to him or if he was just repeating everything she said. Whatever. It wasn't going to bother her life any either way.
"And...I know Drew will..." her voice trailed off slightly as she mentioned the boy's name. At this point she wasn't even certain if Drew could do anything to her for offering. "Yeah...some...someone might not be happy about me doing this, but....if you need anyone to talk to about anything......I have quite a bit of experience in the mistake department. I don't know how well I'd do, but everyone needs an ear to listen once in a while."
