Having been back in the castle for just a few days, William was yet to explore once again. Yes, he had called Hogwarts home for the seven years that he was educated in magical studies, but it have been sixteen years since then, William had forgotten the majority of what the castle looked like. It saddened him to think that it had been that long since he had been in the corridors, the classrooms and the towers, but the feelings of nostalgia were quickly swept away once he could see Hogwarts. It had given him a somewhat rushed feeling, he was more than happy to spend the rest of his life there. Stepping over the owl droppings, moving to the corner where there was a strategically placed window, perfect for the owls shape and size, even the bigger ones. As his plans for the day were to explore the castle, William had decided that it would be smart to start at not only the top, but a place that he had to take care of some business at, and the Owlry fit that description perfectly. Peering out the window at that grounds that seemed so much bigger from up there, William couldn't help but smile. To anyone that had walked in at that moment, they would be sure to think that he was slightly insane; staring out, absentminded, smiling at nothing. He could see the shapes of the clouds even at the early time that he had arrived, around 7:15 in the morning, and subconsciously, William began making patterns throughout them, somewhat like dot to dot. Most people would not be able to see the patterns that he did, but his mind worked like no one elses did. Stepping back from the window as an owl came hurtling towards him, obviously aiming for the window, William felt the burst of air as it dodged him to land on the perch, empty handed. "Whoa..." William grinned, like a school child, before wandering over to the row of owls. Digging into his pocket eagerly, the man produced a handful of owl treats, his face brightening up as he saw the owls do so too. "Yummy?" He said, while one of the owls happily ate from his hand. ((extremely sorry, things got a bit hectic around here and with the weather I didn't have access to internet, so my promise to get to it the next day failed -_-))
There were too many letters to respond to, especially since most of them came from the same source of reason. Her mum had had a bad episode a few days earlier and nearly everyone had felt the need to send her a letter, using her mum's owl, to assure the young blonde the woman was quite all right. Felicity knew she would be, she'd promised to be, and Drew would've written her in greater detail if something wasn't quite right with the older woman. So far, she'd responded to ten letters, and still had at least another ten to go, and that wasn't including Drew's letter which she needed to reply to soon. Climbing the stairs to the owlery, Felicity made sure to go there during a time she wouldn't get into any sort of trouble for by anyone. Connor was kind enough, but that Head Girl, the thought still made her angry.
As she entered the room, her eyes roamed for her elf owl, Dustan, knowing he wouldn't mind stretching his wings a little more. However, Bogey, Drew's owl, hadn't left yet from that morning, and he zoomed right in on her. And though her interest was on getting Dustan down from his perch, her light brown gaze rested on an older man she recognized as being one of her new professors. Since van Aller stepped over to a different subject (one Felicity thought suited the woman ten times better), the school had obviously had to hire a new one in her place. And honestly, Felicity hadn't been to a single Muggle Studies lesson all year. Whether because she was bored with it, feared the new professor, or thought she could do quite well without bothering with the class, she wasn't sure, but now it was time to face the music...
First, the blonde observed, watching his every movement, hearing his every breath, and noticing the odd giddiness he had over feeding the owls.
"Hello?" she spoke uncertainly, not sure whether she was interrupting something, or nothing at all.

[ Thats okay : D ]
With his hand still outstretched, the owl happily eating from it, William looked downright insane. He wasn't usually one to care, but with the respect of his students hanging in the balance, William knew that he had to tone it down a bit. As the owl stopped eating and hopped over a few steps as if to ignore the man, William stepped with it, following its eyes as they seemingly stared him down.
Stepping back from the owl, as he heard a girls voice, William spun around uncertainly. He couldn't help but manage an awkward smile, embarrassed for having been caught acting like a school child. Sure, he wasn't the most mature person in the castle, in fact, a few seventh years were probably closer to that title, but William didn't want his students to think that they could run the classroom, that he was incapable and not worthy of their respect. That kind of thought filled the man with fear that he'd lose his job, that he wasn't cut out for teaching.
Dropping the remainder of the owl treats onto the floor, as three owls followed it down, William shook the crumbs off his hands by brushing them together. Reaching into his pocket, William pulled out his letter, which was in dear need of being flattened out, and gave it a small shake. "Hello. Just mailing a letter." He said, trying to act normal, though he had made a fool of himself by doing so.

The reaction she received reminded her of Freddy when he knew he was in trouble for something. The slow spin, the wide-eyed look, the guilty expression, the dropping of what he had in his hands as if to say 'you can't prove anything'. And at first, she had to fight off a smile, quickly dragging her hand up to cover her mouth and a very obvious fake cough. A giggle was mostly heard beneath the cover up she had tried, but she hoped he didn't think she was really laughing at him, he just reminded her so much of her nephew that she couldn't help it.
"All right," she responded, noticing how he seemed to become very sophisticated and had a readily available excuse for why he was there, so much like Freddy. It made her miss him as the strings pulled on her heart, but at the same time, it was so funny seeing a professor in such a situation, she was highly amused.
"I'm just mailing a few letters, as well," she offered, hoping it would make some sort of peace. Calling to her owl, she felt the slight weight from Bogey on her shoulder, as thought waiting for something to take to Drew, but unfortunately she had to disappoint the little guy as she hadn't yet written him. Taking her time, the pretty blonde tied her letters to Dustan, hoping he wouldn't mind having so much to deliver at once.

With the reaction that he had just given to the girl, William would not have been surprised if she could not contain her laughter. She was obviously a student here, William thought he'd seen her around in the short time that he had been back, and with the display that he had just immaturely shown off, she probably thought he was insane. How could a man like that teach here, he was not one to act his age. In fact, William was starting to wonder whether he could keep the attention and respect of a class.
Smiling as he realised how silly he must have looked, mostly from the giggle that the girl had tried to muffle, William nodded at what she said she was doing. He was a tad silly to wonder, people usually came to the Owlery to get or send mail, but when she had first walked in, William had been sure that she was sussing him out, him and his odd love for animals.
Rocking back and forth on his heels, holding the crumpled letter in his hand, as the girl tied her letters to what was obviously her owl, William watched as she took her time. He didn't know what else to do, hopefully she wouldn't notice. Clearing his throat, William shook his head and smiled. "You a student here?"

Trying to ignore the man, Felicity went about her business, explaining to Dustan who each letter was to be delivered to, and where to deliver first. Meridith was a priority as she wouldn't lie to Felicity about her mum's condition, no matter how ill she was doing, and after that, everyone else was in London so the deliveries made were fairly simple. Softly stroking his gray feathers, she spoke gently to him, words of encouragement and praise of thanks for being there to help her communicate with her family before she heard the words from the man again.
Spinning slowly, Felicity had a small smile on her face, not sure how to respond. Normally, she wouldn't understand underlying tones of anything, but Drew had actually done her a world of good for getting at those kinds of things. And normally, people thought she looked a bit young for her age, but she supposed her height had changed a lot of opinions on that subject, now standing at five foot eight inches. And perhaps being dressed in muggle clothing (jeans and a long-sleeved shirt) over school robes could make one wonder, but she really didn't think she looked like professor material.
"Maybe...?" she answered with her smile still in place and a light tone to her voice, doubting he'd believe she wasn't, otherwise, why would he ask?

William could see that he was being ignored, something that upset him a tad, as he was as chilidish as those kids that always wanted the attention on them, and they'd stop at nothing just to get it, but he knew that that happened. He hadn't grown to love the attention being off him, but he had merely learnt to cope with that predicament. Trying to focus his attention on the owl, who somehow could see that his brain wasn't totally focused on it, William smiled awkwardly as he saw the girl turn around.
He hadn't seen her properly before, he had only caught a glimpse of her face as he was embarrassed about being caught in such an immature stance, but now that he looked at her, he realized how foolish his question was, and had obviously been seen. Shaking his head, with a slight shrug of his shoulders, something that William was prone to doing, William looked at the girl. She was obviously a student, perhaps a sixth or seventh year, she was too young to be anything else. And she obviously saw that idiocy in the question, that was a definite.
"Maybe? You aren't sure?" He said sarcastically, before the rule book came back into memory. He couldn't speak to kids like that, the man had made a mistake, and he was embarrassed about it, that was no excuse. "Sorry, of course you are."

"Not that I'm not sure..." she trailed off, hoping she hadn't really angered him. "Just more wondering if I looked like I could really teach someone something," she answered, her smile still in place. Teaching had never been a topic she wanted to explore, needing so much help on her own as was, but it was nice to think that she looked like someone who could possible teach another something about one thing or another. "I mean, I'm not a professor, but always am a student. And I don't think other than maybe once or twice I actually did the teaching rather than the learning here."
With Drew, she often helped with Herbology or Potions, not that he needed the help, but he allowed her to do so. Ever since arriving to Hogwarts, she'd needed extra help in a number of subjects because she couldn't get the subject very well on her own. In muggle school, she could've taught other, but always chose instead to play sports rather than volunteer her mind to tutoring, except with a few of her friends now and then. Felicity just didn't have the patience to teach an individual.
"You're one of our new professor's, correct?" she asked in return.

The girl hadn't angered the man, no, he was just reverting back to the old days, when he was a sarcastic, almost rude, but always jokingly, boy. His childhood seemed to last longer than anybody elses did, but that wasn't so much of a bad thing. When his professors always told him that school would be the best time of his life, William never actually listened. But now that he was older, he had wanted nothing more than to go back, because he could see how right they had been. Of course, if you didn't like school, and you were told that it was the best it got, as a teenager that would not have gone down well. You really had to be careful giving advice some times.
"Just because someone may not have qualifications, doesn't mean that they can't teach?" William said, more to himself than to the girl. He wasn't one to hold up conversations, and the man had already found himself becoming very mildly confused.
"Muggle studies. An Elective class, I believe." William replied to the girls question, though he wasn't sure that what he had said was correct. Things had drastically changed since he was in schooling, he didn't know what, or who in most cases, to believe.

"But one needs some sort of qualifications to teach another, unless of course the student is able to cooperate with the teacher as to where they may find a balance to learn and teach," she answered, not sure if she was talking in circles or not. After all, she knew she didn't have the qualifications to teach, she just kind of made it up as she went along. And was always complaining about this or that during the time she was supposed to be helping another do something.
"Yes, it's an elective," she answered, not sure how she felt about having a Professor who didn't know whether his class or not was required. Shouldn't a professor of all people know? "I'm actually supposed to be in that class. Muggle Studies, I rather liked it when van Aller was teaching, though I get to have her more often in another class now."
