Jeremy was petrified. What the hell had he been thinking? Coming to Hogwarts, despite the reasoning behind it. He must either be bloody insane, or desperately in need of a familiar face, a good friend. He was preying to Merlin that it was the latter, as the first would probably result in the teenager potentially hurting the latter reason... Regardless of which, he knew he had landed himself into a situation that was either going to make or break him. Now, Jez wasn't a courageous person. He didn't like standing out in a crowd, and he only felt utterly at ease when he was in a group of people that he knew and liked. He didn't deal well with introductions or first impressions. But, what had he done? He had gone ahead and put himself in probably the biggest position where he would be doing just that; meeting new people. Jeremy just hoped it was worth it. And he knew, that if Tianne and him could maintain the friendship they had at home while they were at school, he could try and make this all work. The Sixteen year old just faced the problem of telling her, now. He needed to find her first. The new Gryffindor had arrived in the afternoon after classes had finished, and had sat down to dinner with a couple of students his own age, but the boy hadn't managed to get their names out of them. After wards he had been giving a brief tour to his Common Room, followed by his timetable and elective choices. Merlin, everything was so daunting, it was already giving the boy grief. By the end of the night, Jez was already beginning to feel the stress of school life sink back in. And while sitting in the tower, he decided to be a bit daring - but not too much, he had never been a dare devil, nor was he keen to get a detention on his first night, and go for a small wander. Leaving the common room in what he had arrived in, the teenager ventures up a case of stairs, and up into a tower near where the Gryffindor tower was. Already, Jeremy was blown away by the shear beauty of Hogwarts. The night sky lit up the grounds like a spotlight, highlighting everything in a pearly glow. He pulled his beanie further over his ears, flicking his fringe across his forehead, before taking another few steps to where a large open window opened out onto the sights of the forest and the lake. It was breath-taking, to say the least. He felt calm, looking out at the sight before him. This was his new home, his new environment. He just wished he had the guts to go out and find Tianne. But thus, she still didn't even know he was here. What would he even say to her? [closed. click here for outfit]

Good days didn't come often to Tianne. But today, the word good was a gross understatement. She had gotten an A+ on one of her tests, she hadn't gotten any homework (and as a sixth year ravenclaw student, this was a once in a lifetime thing) and she had met two new people. It was hard to wipe the smile off the girls face, she was just glowing with genuine happiness. Lately, Tianne has found it hard to be her usual bright self, but today, there wasn't much that could change her mood. Heck, not even getting her prefect rounds roster could get her down, knowing that the following night she would have to take the graveyard shift. And as bad as it sounded, when she was in a bad mood, it was hard to find any insipration to write home, no matter how much she felt she needed to. She loved her family, but it was hard to write a letter. "Dear Mum, John, Tanya and Liam. I miss you. I think that's needless to say. It's been a while, I know, but I'm not about to start this letter off by apologising. I want to know what everyone has been up to, I've had the greatest day to day. I sound like a kindergartener, I know, but I made two friends today. Well, I met a couple of fifth years that take my muggle studies class, and they were really cool. Feel free to send me lollies, my supply is running low. They do let you ransack the kitchens every now and again, but I feel so bad for the elves, i dont think I can stand to watch their back breaking work any long-"Tianne read to herself, before stopping as she noticed a lone soul, lost outside the window. Okay, so he was sitting inside the room, but the look on his face... wait. His face. Was that? No, it couldn't be. It was. My god, it was. "Jer...?" She said, the smile dropping from her face, her hand falling down to the side, and in turn, the letter floating towards the ground. What was he doing here? Tianne wasn't even sure that it was him, the beanie and the flicked hair, but she was positive. It was a weird feeling, being so sure that she doubted herself. Raising her eyebrows, Tianne just continued to stand there.

Jeremy continued to stare out the window. Though he felt calm, he also felt nervous, just standing there by himself in this tower. He was way of of his league. The boy had come here to be closer to Tianne, and for a change of scenery. What if she didn't want him there? What if she liked her life away from him at home? All these what ifs were going to send him into a shell of insecurity, and he was fully aware of that. But Jez knew he had to put it out, just for a while, anyway. There was a 50 / 50 chance, in his mind, that she would, or wouldn't want him here. And until he actually spoke to her, the boy knew he should've been using his time wisely to figure out the best way to approach her about everything.
But the thing that happened next - that voice, the tone, seemed to snap all his thoughts in half. Jeremy turned slowly, the immediate effect of nerves making his hands clammy, his neck hot. And those blue eyes spotted her, Tianne. His longest friend. For a good few moments, the teenager didn't think it was real. She could have been a result to his constant stressing and pondering, or merely a look alike at the school. But her all-too familiar voice had said 'Jer', and Jeremy knew that any stranger wouldn't know the first three letters of his name. It was her.
"Ti..." he chocked. "I... you... I uhm..." he stuttered, his voice croaking into a higher octave, as the teen managed to clear his throat, his hand flying to the back of his neck and he scratched it nervously. "Surprise?" he finally said, a small and almost uncertain smile gracing his lips, as he looked at the small, petite and tan girl before him. Well, he was officially crapping himself.

Tianne didn't really know how to react. Whether she was happy he was there, whether she was angry that he hadn't told her that he was coming, or whether she just didn't want him there. She loved waiting all year just to see him at Christmas time, and in the summer, but it would be great to have her best friend at school with her. She wanted Jeremy to meet Matty, the girl that she went on about so much, she wanted him to meet Maddy, the young blonde that could always make Tianne smile, she wanted him to meet everyone, but at the same time, she wanted to keep him to herself, and leave her other friends out of this.
As the boy looked towards her, Tianne looked him up and down. He was significantly taller than the girl, though that wasn't saying that much, considering Tianne was incredibly short, but he looked exactly the same as he had looked in the summer. And he acted the same way. That nervous scratch of the neck, that clearing of the throat and the uncertain smile that crept to his features. It was all to the same as it was at home, and suddenly, Tianne felt herself feeling quite homesick. It was nostalgic, anyone watching probably would have thrown up from the thick stench of awkwardness that was hanging in the air.
"Jeremy!" She finally said in glee, her mind deciding that yes, it was a good thing, check that, a fantastic thing that Jeremy was here. Dropping her bag to the ground, Tianne ran up to the boy and threw her arms around him. Kissing him on the cheek, though she had to pull herself up, the look on Tianne's face was priceless. She was genuinely happy and excited.

Jez could barely breathe. He continued to look at her, as the awkward moment between them stretched into even more awkward seconds. Was she angry? Was she going to cry? Was he going to cry? Merlin knew. The boy was frozen, in both fear and chock, starring at the girl that he had been fond of for years now. He had missed her, at the least. He had yearned for her company throughout his school years, and even during their Summer break there was never enough time spent together, in Jeremy's opinion. She was probably the only person he was truly himself with, and the teenager had desperately missed that feeling for comfortability.
But in those seconds that followed after an awfully awkward silence, the feeling of Tianne hugging him seemed to make all such thoughts evaporate. He missed the way she had to stand on her tippy toes to hug him, and the way she was so innocent when she kissed his cheek. He had missed the feel of her hair tickling his neck, and the way his arms fitted so perfectly around her waist, as Jez lifted her off the ground, picking her up with his muscles, and spinning her in a small circle around them. The grin couldn't be wiped from his face, as the Gryffindor sighed deeply.
"God, it's so good to see you." he mumbled into her ear, not letting her go, but letting the girl's feet touch the ground, his arms still around her sides, as Jez bent down to place a friendly kiss on her forehead. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you I was coming... it's just, i didn't know how, or when, or if you would even want me here, and things were just... you know... I know I'm rambling, I'm sorry. It's just I can't believe I'm actually here, and you of all people turned up and... and, God, I can barely believe all this." he eventually stopped himself, feeling a glowing blush rising up from his neck, onto his tanned cheeks as he smiled at Ti.

Tianne was happy that she would have her best friend at school with her. He had made her the tomboy that she was, without him... ugh, who knows what she'd be like. She wanted him to meet Matty, she knew that they'd get along great. It would be good to finally have someone that would willingly play football with her, someone who would have an insight to all her boy problems, someone that she could really trust with her secrets. He had always been the best friend, and there was nothing that was going to change that, not now, not ever.
Giggling as she hugged him, Tianne looked up to Jeremy. He was like her big brother, he always made sure she wasn't in any trouble, and if she was, he'd kick their butts. It was the way it always went. He basically was her big brother, she basically lived with him and his mother when she was on holidays.
"Yeah, its cool." She said, outstretching her arm to create a 'waving' effect. Smiling, as she pushed herself away from the boy, Tianne's mind drifted once more. Why was he here? "Oh, I know why you are here! Things with that girl you liked... what was her name... Was it Jasmine?" She said, her finger sitting on her chin, as if she was thinking. "Or was it Lauren?" Tianne wasn't sure what the name was, but she was teasing the boy, so it didn't really matter. "And don't worry. I won't tell a soul." She said, responding to the boys ramble.

"Oh, I know why you are here! Things with that girl you liked... what was her name... Was it Jasmine?"
Jeremy felt another familiar surge of heat on his face, when Tianne made mention of Jasmine... and Lauren too. He was embarrassed to say the least. Back at Durmstrang, Jez had only ever had one girlfriend, Jasmine. She was a rather confident and 'out there' girl, who had an extensive social life. Apparently she had liked him because of his quiet and kinda nature, and found him refreshing and intriguing. The thing was, her own best friend Lauren was the typical shyer type, probably a better match for Jeremy. In the end, Jasmine had broken up with Jeremy because Lauren had also developed a crush on him, and he withdrew from them both, not wanting to be fussed over. He would much rather losing a girlfriend, than to see two best friends fight over him of all people.
Jez nibbled on his lip for a moment before smiling shyly again. "Jas and Lauren weren't the reason I came. Me and Jas broke up... a couple of months ago now." he confessed to her, knowing that she had been joking. In a more comfortable state, the teenager probably would have jested along too, but in the current situation, his nerves were still on end. "To be honest... I missed you, too much to wait until the Holidays anyway. I spoke to mum and dad, and they let me come, on the condition that my grades didn't slip. So here I am." he managed another grin, looking up from the ground to Ti again.
"What do you think of that, then? You're not mad?"

Trying to suppress the smile that was sitting on her face was kind of like saying no to a piece of cake. Bad analogy, yes, but Tianne's mind wasn't exactly running smoothly. Her smile was that of a child's, overly excited, bright and amusing. Just a the mere sight of her smile could make anyone break out into a grin, something that Tianne took advantage of. Dancing on the spot where she stood excitedly, Tianne was finding it hard not to fidget. SHe was just so... well, happy!
"Aww!" She said, her head tilting on the side in mock affection. Okay, so the boy was being down to earth, but Tianne's head was so far up in the clouds that she just couldn't stop the teasing. It was rare for Tianne to be like this, but Jeremy brought out the best in her, and she couldn't help it when she was around him. Giggling shyly as the boy broke out his honesty, Tianne looked up to the boy. "Nah, why would I be mad?" She said, her head still tilted on the side, this time in a questioning sort of way.
