A sigh. Another sigh. Her heart pounded as her eyes watered. Beni hated stale reactions like these, but it was the closest to what she really felt. She could only look out at the view that came alive as owls came and went. It was a big more relieving than what she had in her hands.
Dear Ms. Benita Hendrix,
It's come to our attention what you have shown us in your portfolio. Impressive, indeed! I am writing you personally because as one who came into the hairstyling business at a young age, I can empathise with your feelings.
We want you. Plain and simple. You would be valuable to our team. It's unconventional that we "recruit" people as if we were the Qudditch league, but let's face it-- what's conventional these days?
We at Fourier-Fourier see how sucessful one can become, especially with such ambition and talen. And we want to help you develop that.
We hope to hear from you soon. The sooner we can get you in our team... the sooner you can rise in this industry.
Sincerely, Serium Garnoir
Fourier-Fourier
To leave school where she held many friendships and loves? Or to forget an important choice that could bring forth a life of fortune and fame. "Bloody hell, life is bollocks," she said solemnly.

Ivy, who had just recieved her modeling agency acceptence letters was facing a similar predicament from the high ledge of the Owlery. She noticed that her dear friend, Beni had been staring at a letter for a tad too long. Ivy felt the need to investigate, which is precisely what she did. Jumping down from the ledge, she fell on top of Beni accidentally.
So much for grace.
"Omph!" Ivy groaned, but Beni broke her fall. She felt a surge of guilt; she had probably made things worse for Beni. The Gryff was probably better off without Ivy's clumisiness. This wasn't even the first time Ivy fell from jumping from that ledge, it was probably the fourth time this year. You would've thought that she would have learned from the first, second or third time... but no...

"Newton's Law!" Those were the words that came out of Beni's mouth when an Ivy fell on her. Landing rightly on the floor, she stayed still from the floor. She wasn't dead. She was just thinking that that was a pretty good wake up call.
"Er... Ivy? I know I'm just a comfy kitten and all, but the owlrey floor is not the place I want my bum to be on." Of course, who wouldn't? The owlrey doubled as a loo for the owls.

(I love Beni lol)
“Sorry,” Ivy muttered, as she got off of Beni quickly. She blushed and helped Beni up; it was an accident, and she was happy that Beni took it well. If it was someone like Reina, Ivy would probably have been Avada Kedavra’d or something.
Ivy leaned on a post and looked down at Beni—the Hufflepuff was already tall enough, but she was wearing high-heels, so she was practically 6 feet tall. “Beni, is something bothering you, dear?”

(likewise on the Ivy end Accepting Ivy's hand to get up, she dusted herself off of any stray feathers and checked her bum for any unwanted bird substances. Clear. She had dropped her letter from the fall, and she felt a little weary to pick it up, but when she did, she sighed and handed it to Ivy, urging her to read. "It's school or this," she said simply.

Ivy scanned through the letter as fast as she could. She blinked a few times, and realized what Beni meant. She frowned a bit and looked up at her. "Well-- what do you think about it?" she asked softly.
Personally, Ivy wished that Beni could stay... but these were Beni's dreams. Besides, it wasn't like they weren't going to see each other again. Ivy had a feeling that she would work with Beni in the future... But what about the other people? Other people that might not get to see the Gryff again? What about them? Would they continue to stay close after leaving?

"To tell you the truth, I haven't a clue. I really, really want to be here with all of you to continue all of our silliness. But someone wants me. Me! I didn't know that going out on a limb and sending people my portfolio get me such a response, however late it was. I don't know if this is the time that 'Now or Never' applies." She shook her black hair out. The red had faded and only one true color remained.

Ivy looked down at the ground and thought for a moment. "Well-- Beni... you should take your time then! Wait until you know. Did they give you a deadline to reply?" she tilted her head and went over the letter once more.
When the answer was no where to be seen on the letter, she handed the parchment back to the Gryffindor. "Well... these kind of things don't need rushing. Besides, if they want you now, what makes you think they won't want you when you get out of Hogwarts?"

"I'm not sure..." Beni said truthfully. Fourier-Fourier was one of the best salons out there, and it was an excellent place to build one's career. Sure, there were others... but they replied first.
Just then, another owl came by, this one of fine white feathers and elegant eyes. Landing on her shoulder, it wagged its leg for a bit until she got it off. Instantly the bird flew away, and from its rear, one could see an amber-colored F on its back.
Beni only needed two paragraphs to get what Serium was saying. "They want me asap," She said, a slow gasp going over her.

Ivy tilted her head, this was going so fast! Ivy didn't want to lose Beni now...but she also didn't want to somehow ruin her dreams and...well...
"Beni, you should go." Ivy said quietly, smiling at her friend. "This is a huge opportunity for you. This is your dream! You should go for it! Y'know... Hogwarts won't be the same without you but this doesn't mean that you're never going to see us again. We'll miss you, but we won't forget you."
Ivy knew it was probably for the best that Beni pursued her dreams. The Hufflepuff wished that she had the courage to drop everything and work towards her goals.

Beni didn't know if this was right or wrong answer. She wanted to hear yes, but she wanted a desvasting no. Either way... she wasn't sure to feel happy with Ivy's advice.
She frowned. She felt her everything go in different directions like a tug of war. "I should, shouldn't I...?" The letterhead glowed the same kind of amber, giving an almost welcoming shine.

"...but." Ivy wanted to voice her other side. "You'll be missing out on your seventh year memories. Cutting your last year short? at Hogwarts? You'll only get to be a seventh year for a limited amount of time."
She gave her friend a lopsided smile, feeling slightly useless. "Aye, I'm not helping much-- apologies." She was terrible at giving people advice, she could barely handle her own life as it was.

Beni thought out the times she had been with her seventh year class. They were bundles of fun, and she had seen it in them. Without much effort, she turned mushy and tears stuck into the corners of her eyes.
And she almost forgot another important aspect that told her to stay. "Oh Merly... What about Ben?" She leaned against the wall and sighed. This wasn't getting any easier. "We just coupled together, too." She hadn't told that to Ivy yet, but it seemed like a right time to say so.

Ivy practically screamed out loud. Beni had wrote to her about Ben, but the Puff didn't know that they were going steady already! She grinned at the Gryff before hopping up and down happily. Then she remembered the situation, and frowned. "Oh wow, Beni that's really... that's really tough. I don't know what I'd do. I think that.. well-- hmmm... you probably shouldn't give up your future for a guy, y'know? How far away are you going anyway?"
Perhaps Beni could still keep the relationship while away from Hogwarts? Besides, Ivy would do a good job at keeping an eye out on Ben, her fellow Puff.

Her screaming was contagious as Beni did the same. She also simmered down when the second thoughts came in, too. "Bloody hell... I know it's only wizarding London, but..." she frowned. If only he was there again so she could lightly chastize him for being so late on the coupling.
