[ Full Character Name: ] Patrick Ienzo Nollet
[ Character Gender: ] Male
[ Country of Citizenship: ] UK
[ Birthday: ] Oct. 5, 1991
[ Age: ] 15
[ Heritage: ] Half-blood
[ Mother: ] Allison Nollet, née Destro (witch)
[ Father: ] Frederick Nollet (Muggle)
[ Wand: ] 131/2 inches, birchwood, unicorn hair
[ Owl: ] Avis - female, eagle owl, silvery-gray feathers, somewhat petite for her species
[ Cat: ] Squall - male, tabby, light gray striped with dark gray, still only a kitten at present time
[ House/Year: ] Hufflepuff 4th Year
[ Quidditch Position: ] Seeker
[ Physical Character Description: ] Patrick is just a shade short for his age, standing at 5'51/2", although his build is average for most, if not somewhat thin. He has vibrant, brown eyes, skin and his skin is somewhat pale, although it is sometimes lightly-tanned, from time spent outside (he doesn't burn too easily). Pat's silver hair has been caused him to be labeled 'odd-looking' more than once, although he hasn't faced this much since coming to Hogwarts. Because of his time in the US, he prefers to stick with casual clothes, although it's not too rare for him to also wear slightly nicer clothing. Pat always wears a silver necklace with a silver, opal-set ring on it; it's twin is kept by Krissy. He doesn't talk too much around those that really disconcert him, but can be very talkative around anyone else, even people he doesn't know the first thing about. His voice only has faint traces of an English accent as he spent most of his early childhood in the US, and he usually talks in a way sometimes stereotypical of Americans.
[ Personality Character Description: ] Patrick was distant from many people early in his life, but has come out of his shell after arriving at Hogwarts. Fiercely loyal to his friends, he is more than willing to fight for them. He has a good intuition, although he sometimes gets it wrong. Being a half-blood, Patrick views Muggles as the equals of wizards, although they lack the ability to use magic. Pat sometimes seems lazy and apathetic towards his studies, but he is actually quite brilliant. He can be either silly or mature, depending on the situation and on his mood. He also feels a connection with many creatures, especially with his owl, Avis, and his cat, Squall.
[ History: ] Patrick Ienzo Nollet was born on Oct. 5, 1991, the only child born to Allison and Frederick Nollet, his witch mother and Muggle father. Although his father was predictably shocked to find that his wife was a witch and his son a wizard, he stayed with Allison and Patrick out of his love for them. In order to secure a better life, the family moved to the US when Patrick was 4 years old, and decided not to tell him he was a wizard until he was older.
When Patrick entered elementary school, he noticed that he seemed different from all of the other kids, but he couldn't put his finger on what exactly. Whatever it was, it seemed that the other kids felt it too, and were unintentionally distant and cold to him. This was reflected in his personality, and he became distant from everyone but his family. When he was finally told at age 8 that he was a wizard, it helped him cope with why he felt different, and he savored waiting for the time he would be allowed to join his magical peers...
One day, his parents announced that they would all be moving back to England. When Patrick asked why, they simply said they were moving back to "be close to family, and start over." And they certainly did see a lot of his mother's side of the family: numerous aunts and uncles and cousins, all excited to hear that Pat's 11th birthday was coming up, though Pat couldn't guess why. Then, one day, a letter appeared by owl from a place called Hogwarts...
When he arrived at Hogwarts, however, he was more shy than anything else, and talked to hardly anyone, keeping mostly to himself, not really participating in any classes, nor talking to anyone.
His second year wasn't much different, although he became a little more open, talking with a couple of people, but still not speaking up in class.
Third year was when he truly started to break out of the shell, taking it slow at first, then practically bursting onto the scene, following an acceptance-into-HR party thrown to him by a friend he knew before Hogwarts.
And thus the story of Pat Nollet began to unfold.
[ Special talents/knacks : ] Has an aptitude for magical dueling, taught to him by his cousins on his mother's side. Is also quite smart and a fast learner, but is sometimes lazy towards homework and essays, although he usually manages good marks. Has an unusually good intuition, although it's sometimes wrong.
