Accepted. Welcome to Hogwarts!
[ Full Character Name: Willow Mackenzie Adams
[ Character Gender: ] Female
[ Country of Citizenship: ] U.K.
[ House Preference: ] Hufflepuff
[ Year: ] 5
[ Physical Character Description: ]
(Tell what they look like. What they wear, their perks about appearance, their downfalls. Special attributes. Are they plain? Tall? Short?) Willow is about 160 cm (5” 3’) and 52 kg (115 lbs) with red hair down to her shoulders. When not in traditional Hogwarts robe, you can find her wearing jeans and layered shirts. One layer, always a frilly bottomed tank and a t-shirt or long sleeved shirt dependant on the weather. Although, she is often commented on her beautiful blue eyes, she typically smiles and attempts to hide her self-consciousness of the way she looks.
[ Personality Character Description: ] (Who is your character? What makes them tick?) Willow, a bubbly girl, is truly hiding who she really is. She has the potential to be a top witch but one of her downfalls is that she procrastinates on her work and strives to find the confidence that she needs. She’s very laid back, sometimes too laid back. Yet, she’s very determined. When she puts her mind to something, she prevails yet finds academic work to be tedious and annoying. Her hopes are to one day become a professor that way learning will be more fun. When it comes to her family, she does not like to discuss her mother very often. She has accepted her death, but is still angry with her for not receiving magical care. She sends and receives weekly owls from her father, who lately spends much of his time at St. Mundo’s. Her sister Marisa is very in depth with her own life to communicate often with her. She is close with her sister Alexandria and looks up to her. She is not close with her brother and often loves to talk about her attendance at Hogwarts in front of him just to see his reaction.
[ History: ] Willow’s father Malcolm, a pureblood, works at the Ministry of Magic as an Auoror. Her mother Madison Rose, muggleborn witch, also worked at the Ministry as a secretary for the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. Although the two both graduated from Hogwarts, they were one year apart. Upon handing Madison papers to file, he went to greet her “Good Day” but stumbled upon his words. Three months later they were married. One year after their marriage, twin daughters, Marisa and Alexandria were brought into the world. Two and a half years following this Willow was born. Two years after her birth, a son, Seth Evan, was born. Seth does not attend Hogwarts because he is a squib. Instead, he attends a public school with muggles and causes a lot of problems due to his jealousy of his siblings’ magical gifts. He spends a lot of time with his muggle grandparents to learn how to live in the muggle world. Although Willow is a 5th year, this is her second time as a 5th year. Her mother died of cancer during the previous school year. Madison decided not to be healed. Being brought up in a muggle home, she decided it was her time to go and promised her children she would always be there with them. The death of her mother caused her to miss her OWLS and forced her to redo the year. Although her friends would be a year older, she is glad to be repeating, as she didn’t feel confident in her knowledge just yet. Following the death of their mother, her twin sisters married twin brothers Lance and Oscar. Both Marisa and Alexandra work at St. Mungos and both Lance and Oscar work for the ministry. Willow is not sure what they do because she has only meet them once, the day of the wedding. Willow’s father, still at the ministry, has taken a sabbatical. Still mourning the loss of his wife, he has since been seeing a psychiatrist located at St. Mungo’s. He has also been over night a few times. As Willow receives more owls concerning this matter, she finds it more difficult to talk to her friends about this problem.
[ Special talents/knacks : ] ( This is where you should put all of your characters finer points and all of their flaws. What makes them, them.) She enjoys researching “useless knowledge” when it comes to magic and often can recite this knowledge easily. She’s very laid back, sometimes too laid back, but finds making friends difficult because she is unsure of how to read them. She finds giving people advice easily. She’s boy crazy but has never had any kind of relationship. She finds herself getting jealous of girls that can talk to boys easily.
[Role Playing Example:] (Please put effort into this and make sure it abides by the site's requirements.)
As Willow walked into the classroom, she slumped into the chair farthest from view. She loved transfiguration; it was her favorite. She questioned herself as to why she always sat in the back. She promised herself yesterday she would try to do more today, but, that promise wasn’t kept today. “Tomorrow,” she thought to herself.
She knew the professor would soon be asking for the assignment. She should have done it during study hours yesterday, but found history on Merlin more fascinating. Should she tell the professor she left it in on her bed and was in a hurry? Or should she just say she forgot? Willow promised herself she would complete all work for the next day as soon as she got back to her room. Even if that meant she would be up for hours. She also knew that would start after she was done finding that last question she had running through her mind, “What did he really look like when he was younger.”
