In his school years the staff lounge had been forbidden, sure he like every student had gotten his fair share of peeks, but he unlike others dared not to cross the threshold. Thus, he made full use of his new found, but still deserving power quickly, even though he would have eventually had to enter the room anyway, better to start early than sit on it till merlin knew when.
One would find the Herbology professor in a chair with his feet propped up on the table, his eyes and ears taking in the calm solitude that was bestowed upon him at the present. His eyes were closed, and didn't open though the door, did.
(Open.)

Reina was still in the Teacher's cupboard when she heard the door open. She was in here about to prank the teacher's lounge when the door opened and she quickly hid into the cupboard hoping whoever would come and go.
Unfortunately it seemed the person was going to be awhile and Reina cursed her luck and pondered how she was going to get out of this when she heard the door open once more. Reina nudge the cupboard open a crack when she saw that the first prof., a man, was still here and someone else was entering.
Crap!

"Bloody humans..." Becca grumbled, tossing a pile of papers onto a nearby table. She didn't even notice Robert in the room as she sank into a chair. She grabbed at the pages she had just thrown down and went over them again for the hundredth time. This was a mess she didn't think the Conservation Department would be able to fix.

The woman had entered so quickly, clearly angry, and obviously was another of the staff. Removing his feet from the table he said nothing for seemingly the longest of times. "Ma'am, something wrong?" He questioned, his head tilting ever so slightly to the left.
The woman, like most of the others was a new face, and it would take him awhile to get accustomed tot hem all, but one at a time was working just fine.

"How many times have we warned him!" Becca asked angrily, finally realizing someone else was in the room, but ignoring the fact that they had not properly met. "Does he think every kelpie is as lucky as Nessie? We told him! I swear we've told him a million times, Stay out of sight, but does he listen? NO! Of course not! And where has it landed him? Off of the protected list! A mess! That's what it is! A mess we're going to have a jolly good time trying to iron out!"

st be the Magical Creatures woman...I wonder what happened to... His thoughts bounced off before refocusing on the woman before him. "I'm afraid, I haven't heard of which you speak, canceled my subscription to the Prophet long time back, never bothered to renew it yet." Robert claimed smiling weakly.
It was clear this woman had her own problems to sort out, but talking them out usually helped the process along. So, Robert lent an ear and tried to decipher what she had just said. This was what he got for taking Ancient Runes as an elective.

"It's really all of the Muggles' doing of course, but you can hardly blame them of course," Becca continued. "I'm not one to usually speak ill of the non-magical, but sometimes, I wish they'd look just a bit beyond their own noses."
"But of course, how could they know? It's ultimately the responsibility of the Ministry, that's what it is!" she continued, obviously worked up about the subject. "But what do they do? Brush it aside like it's nothing. As if Kelpies grow on trees!"

Reina gave a small groan. Her muscles hurt and she was cramped. This is like a stupid movie or tv show. Now all I need to do is sneez...Oh CRAP!
Reina could feel her nose twitching and she tried to bring her arm up to her nose to pinch it, but it was stuck between her and door.
Don't sneeze, don't sneeze!

"Seems the Ministry hasn't changed any in fourteen years then." Robert announced with a small chuckle.
"Mind you, I mean no disrespect to your issue madam, however if there is anyway a botanist can be of assistance I'd be more then willing to render my services." Shaw added, his ears picking up a small undefinable noise, but he decided to pass it off as an elf.

"Oh, just you watch!" Becca challenged, shaking her finger at the man accusatorily. "You're next! They'll be pulling gillyweed off of the protected plant list soon! Just you wait! Sticking together! That's our only hope at this point. Otherwise the whole planet will be doomed!"

"Ah - keet, Ah - keet!"
Reina stood stock still while her heart hammered in her chest. It was two really tiny and small sneezes, but hopefully Prof. Davenport was ranting and raving too loud to hear her.

Twice more a small noise emerged, but the woman of whom he had yet tog et a name out of brought his field into the picture and that didn't get him started, but it did get him listening to her a tad more.
"I doubt they;d go that far madam. Perhaps they will see the...error, of their ways yes?" Robert said tactfully still uncertain if it was worded well enough.

"You would think so!" Becca cried out, throwing her hands up in exasperation. "I mean, Look at what they nearly did to the diricawl... And the yeti... Not to mention the thousands of nonmagical plants and animals that they've harvested into extinction! We live in a perfectly balanced ecosystem and until human beings realize that, we're all going to be doomed!"

Reina was cramped, tired from standing in one place, and completely bored. This was the most boring conversation she had ever heard and she was seconds away from giving away her own position just to shut Prof. Davenport up. Who freaking cares?

(Boring!? Well, I never! ) "When they touch my field, I will then raise my voice; though with the rumoured extinction of the Granluck herb last summer, I fear it may already be too late to raise my voice." Robert said with only a minor shrug. Yes, he had been a botanist for nearly fifteen years now, but that didn't mean he felt his field threatened. He did however know that some herbs were becoming rarer, and very few botanists had gone to the Far east region. It was someplace he planned on going, perhaps there was where the solution lied.
