Josh was starting to get used to the workings of the school. After a couple days, the new Hufflepuff could find his way to the Great Hall for meals, but that was about the extent of his adventures. And now, Josh had made his way to the Entrance Hall again in search of something to do. He was missing his family a little bit already, but he would right to them soon to let them know he was okay and had made it here safely. His mother was who he missed the most because she was the one who had always been there for him. He would have to write her a separate letter.
Coming down the last few steps, Josh's hands slid themselves into his pockets. He looked around, seeing no one. It was still early in the morning, so Josh figured most of them were still sleeping, especially on a Saturday like today. Maybe somebody would come along.

Saturday mornings were great to do homework, great to get into the Great Hall first, and also a great time to freak out. Alfonz would know what to do…how could she have signed up so blindly for the quidditch team?!?!?! She hated flying, couldn’t hardly do it to save her life, and above all else, the positions she could have been filling in for were worse than ever?! Seeker….beater….chaser?! Sure Celina knew how do play them, knew all the strategic maneuvers one could do on a broom as them, but actually doing them were completely different things! Maybe Drew could help her agan…or her brother…at that moment, however, she was racing down the stairs to find her brother, Alfonz, to explain to him how stupid she really was.
Just as she rushed down the stairs, one foot went in front of another literally and the Raven was practically tumbling down the stairs, grabbing on slightly to the railing and just barely breaking her fall. Hanging on for dear life, her scream, that she didn’t even remember yelping out, echoed throughout the, what she thought, empty ground floor. Swinging her other arm up to the railing, she pulled herself up, only then noticing another was at the bottom of the stairs. Celina froze….did he hear her? Should she just continued on her way…? Oh, how embarrassing this was or could be.

There was a sudden yelp behind Josh and he whipped around just in time to see a girl nearly tumble down the stairs. The boy jumped up the few steps he'd just walked down with arms outstretched in order to catch her if she kept going. However, she seemed to have steadied herself but that didn't mean Josh would turn his attention from her. "Are you alright?" he asked the girl, concern showing through his eyes.

Celina looked at the boy and instantly her fair features turned that of a bright red. "Physically, I seem fine," she smiled weakly wishing that the boy didn't look as though he had almost seen someone jumping off a very high building. "I was just in a rush, and my feet got tangled and..." Celina trailed off, her ramblings making her look even more foolish. Her hand went up and covered her face as she giggled, peaking through her fingers slightly at the boy. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to worry or frighten you," she responded to him, though her heart was racing with as much as she had almost frightened herself.
"It's pretty early," Celina said dropping her hand from her face, though the color was still evident. "Did I disturb you?" Again she felt a sudden wash of guilt run throughout her. "I was just going to see my broth..." again she stopped. Her nerves were making her say whatever and she sighed. "I'm sorry," she said again and shook her head, laughing at her own stupidity.

Josh looked at the girl and smiled slightly as she giggled about her tumble. She began apologizing and he frowned, his brow furrowing above his eyes. She didn't need to apologize for nearly falling down the stairs, it hadn't been her fault. "That's quite alright," Josh told her with another smile, "I actually wasn't doing anything. I was looking for something to do."
Noticing she'd stopped half-way through her sentence, Josh raised a curious eyebrow. It sounded like she was about to say "brother" but wasn't quite sure why she felt like she needed to stop. "Were you on your way to do something?" Josh asked.

Celina sighed and nodded. "I have a bit of a predicament..." she shook her head. Hugging herself slightly she leaned her back against the railing and looked down at the stairs. She didn't know who this kid was, but she at the same time didn't care about not telling him either. He seemed harmless enough. "I joined the quidditch team of my house...I was going to go and see my brother to try and get some help." Celina shurgged and sighed, looking back up at the boy.
"Oh, but thanks for going to help me," she said, again a sudden heat rising to her face from embarrassment. "I'm usually not that clumsy." Sticking out her hand she smiled. "I'm Celina, what's your name?" she asked of the boy, figuring that after her little extravaganza, she might as well tell him her name.

At the word "Quidditch", Josh's attention was strictly on the girl. He loved Quidditch, he knew he needed to find out when his own try-outs were. Knowing his luck, they already happened. But Josh would still make the effort and maybe become an alternate if he could. His mind wandered off to Quidditch for only a moment until he realized the girl was still speaking.
"That's alright, I get clumsy sometimes too," Josh admitted to Celina with a smile, "My name's Josh and you're very welcome." He nodded his head at her and moved out of the way so she could continue down and onto her way to her brother, wherever he was.
"What kind of Quidditch help were you looking for?" Josh asked.

Celina laughed to herself and sighed. "Oh, probably about everything that has to do with riding the broom, catching the balls, beating the bludgers. Anything that actually involves playing the game, rather than just watching." Jax had reluctantly given her the position as the 'last resort' alternate after Celina and her had talked and Celina pleaded her case. Why she felt this was important all came down to being a disappointment and how Celina was sick of being as such. She wanted to impress her father, impress her brother...unfortunately, that wasn't bound to happen. Frankly, Celina had seen the team in past years and had known how great it used to be...
Who knew Ravenclaw would lose so many members after the previous year....who knew that she'd be stuck maybe really playing any of the positions. "You see...I don't play. I watch. And this year, our team is struggling a bit and I offered to play," or something like that. It was more like Celina saw a chance and went after it blindly. How silly could she have been?
"My brother is the Co-ref though and that's why I was going to see him," Celina started walking a few steps down the stairs. It was evident that she was nervous, for her rambles shook every time she said anything. "But yea..." she said sighing, and frankly wishing that she hadn't caught herself going down the stairs. Maybe then...eh, nevermind. It still wouldn't have worked...

Josh nodded his head as he listened to her talk. It was kind of funny to watch people who didn't really know how to play, as long as they didn't get hurt. But if you weren't skilled, that was usually when injury occurred. Josh really didn't want this girl to hurt herself playing a game she didn't know how to and even if her brother was the co-referee, he would still offer to help her. "If you want, I can help you out too and teach you the basics," Josh offered with a shrug of his shoulders. Normally he was a shy guy, but he did like to help people. Quidditch was something that was important to him though and he would gladly help anyone.

Well, she really did need all the help she could get, and frankly asking it of her friends again would only embarrass herself. Connor, Drew, and Felicity all were or had been on the quidditch teams and were really good from what Celina remembered of them. It would be embarrassing to ask of them again what she needed. Thanks to Drew and Alfonz, she could now get on a broom and leisurely ride it with only minor bumps and bruises, but she was no where near ready for the game that would soon to be coming up. "Would you really?" And making a fool out of herself in front of someone she didn't know...well, in some strange way, that was just less mortifying for the Raven girl.
"Because that would be great! But I'm warning you now....I'm really bad. Afraid of heights and fast rides....I mean, I really shouldn't be on the team probably." She looked away from the boy at her confession and sighed, sitting on the stair that she had just stepped onto, and leaned up against the side of the stairs. "Like my whole family has quidditch in their blood...so you'd think I'd know what I'm doing in the air, and not just knowing everything about the game...." Celina shook her head and sighed. Looking back at Josh she smiled sweetly. "But I think that would be great if you could give me a few pointers too...." Celina laughed. "I'd add them to my collection."

"Yeah sure, I don't mind at all," Josh told her with a warm smile, his honey golden eyes shining warmly as well. He watched her intently, his eyes studying her face as she spoke. The girl had sat down on the steps and Josh, not wanting to tower over her even more, lowered himself to her level. The new Hufflepuff boy listened to what the girl had to confess and nodded periodically, understanding what it was like to stick out in a family. Josh almost wanted to explain his situation to make her not feel so bad, but the words wouldn't form. Instead, his mind switched back onto Quidditch
"I'll help any way I can," the teenager told Celina with another grin, "What position are you playing?"

(Sorry! I didn't realize you posted x-x)
That was the problem, now wasn't it? What position was she playing. Being an alternate, she wasn't supposed to be playing any! But there were a lack of Ravens this year or something and that put her in the worst predicament of all. The only comfort Celina had was that Jax either trusted her immensely, or she trusted the team to get more points than the snitch made up for. Either way, Celina was playing seeker for this game, and she was about to literally die of fright. "Seeker..." she whispered defeated like as if saying it to loud would make even Hogwarts crumble.
Again, she just sat there, the boy lowered himself to be where she was and Celina couldn't even smile anymore. Her usually fair face turned even paler and she shook her head. "I just can't believe my luck...of all positions..." she said mostly to herself.
Looking back at the boy, his smile somewhat helped but at the same time it seemed as though he was trying to give her hope that she didn't have any of. "What positions do you play?" she asked Josh, hoping he was skilled enough to help someone with a fear of heights and a fear of falling. Yea, two things one should never have if getting on a broom, let alone playing Quidditch. "I mean, I don't want to bother you with this," Celina said again really hating to bother someone she had never met before with her problems. That usually wasn't like her at all, but in desperate times, came desperate measures. "I have friends that play," though she didn't want to look absolutely stupid or get a lecture so she really hadn't asked them to help. "And I can still ask my brother, so if you're busy..." again, she didn't want to for fear of a lecture or something but still...
Celina sighed and smiled lightly. "Thank you," she finally just said. She really did want his help. It would be an outsider's perspective and another, different opinon. It was what she would need if she were to get herself out there making a fool of herself in front of the whole school.
