Jason smiled he didn't mind the City or the suburbs he liked both. He thought both areas were nice. "I could live in both, both areas have there advantages and disadvantages" he said looking up at the clear sky.
Jason thought for a moment, then tuned back to Vanessa, "Ive been to Ireland, Italy, Japan and spent a month out on the Bearing Sea on the boat, and the United States" Jason said trying to think of any other places he could of been. " I think thats it" he said Jason looked back over to the fountain "Maybe Canada but it would crossing over to Alaska, i dident spend too much time there"

Vanessa nodded. Jason was right about both places having their advantages and disadvantages, but it was just her personal opinion that she didn't like cities very much. She was a quiet girl whom liked to relax, keep to herself, stick to her studies as best she could to be a good example for her younger brother, and sometimes she felt that the city was much too noisy, and sometimes even too violent for her liking. She just wanted to relax and be herself, though she knew how hard that actually was to do being the oldest, and paving the way for her younger brother, Victor.
"Wow," she said in awe, unbelieving that Jason had been to so many places. It was crazy, but in a very brilliant and neat way. "That's amazing... I've just been to London, and obviously Scotland," she said looking back at the castle. "I've never left Great Britain." Vanessa admired anyone who had more worldly experience than she, for her mind fluttered with all sorts of thoughts about what could be out there that she would probably never see. "What were all those places like? What did you do there?" Vanessa asked, turning her body towards the Ravenclaw, then sitting on the bench sideways.

Jason smiled "I was little when i did all this traveling, because of my fathers job, so i really don't remember alot." he said looking up at the sky. It was true Jason's dad did work alot, after retiring form Dueling dad still traveled with the tour, setting up events and other behind the scenes stuff. Jason's mother was a muggle doctor, and worked in a hospital in London so Jason traveled with his father when he was gone, or stayed at his grandparents. But since since he could remember he went to Seattle to stay with his aunt and uncle. He turned back to Vanessa "so you have never been out of the UK?"

Vanessa nodded, taking in that though Jason had traveled a lot, it wasn't as profound of an experience as she had hoped it was. A bit disappointed, she figured that it wasn't nice to place such expectations on the guy since she really didn't know him, so she smiled and just understood and accepted. "Ah, that makes sense. What does your father do?" she asked him, really interested in jobs that traveled. Maybe one day she would have a traveling job... she could only hope.
"No." Vanessa shook her head and sighed slightly. "Never out of the UK.... actually, I've never even left Great Britain." She thought a bit, her tongue just barely sticking out as she looked up and thought really hard. it was a bad habit, one she'd picked up from her mother; sticking her tongue back in her mouth she looked at Jason and shook her head. "I live in London... come here for school," she shrugged.

Jason Smiled " He works on the would dueling tour" Jason said Looking back a Vanessa "he used to duel himself and was a 2 time world champion"
Jason looked over to the fountain "when I was five he got an injury off a cheap shot and it ended his career, but he stayed on the tour to do behind the scenes work" Jason said not taking his eves off the fountain. "So hes not home alot"
"Wow that sucks, I like the UK, don't get me wrong, but id rather be in Seattle" Jason said with a smile

World Dueling Tour? Vanessa, herself, had never heard of such a thing, but then again she wasn't much for dueling and other such activities. She wasn't very sportsy, and didn't even keep up with quidditch like some of the other kids did. She would have rather read a book or something and dreamed about all that could really be out there, than actually doing it. She supposed that's why she'd never actually thought about a job that involved traveling. "That's amazing... I suppose he likes his job a lot then?"
Jason went into more detail about how his father had gotten hurt, and yet still worked, which took him away from home a lot and her mouth turned into a somewhat frown. "Oh, I'm sorry to hear that..." Maybe traveling jobs were only good if you didn't have a family and stuff to go back to. Vanessa thought of her younger brother and bit her bottom lip... how far away did she actually want to travel?
"It's ok. I'm never too far from my brother that way." Vanessa smiled, knowing that even though she wished to travel, she also wanted to set a good example for her brother, and maybe sticking around was the best way to do that. "But tell me..." she paused. "What's in Seattle? Is it very big and such?"

Jason Smiled "Yeah, He loves it" Jason said "though he would rather be dueling I guess, But the blow he took to his knee and that was it"
Jason Laughed "Yeah Its a pretty big city" Theres a tower called the space needle, its 184 meaters and its got a resturant anda shopping mall in it" He said with a smile "then you got the Pike Place docks where theres more shopping and a really big fish market, and i spent most of my time on the docks working on boats in the summer" Jason said turning back to the fountain.

Vanessa nodded, trying to understand how hard it was for Jason's father to be limited in doing something he loved to do. "Well, it's good that he at least gets to participate," she said encouragingly, though she knew it must take its own tole on the family life.
She listened to Jason speak about Seattle and she closed her eyes, picturing everything that he spoke about. The space needle tower with the restuant and mall, the pike place docks and the fish... the boats and the water... Vanessa giggled and shoved some hair behind her ears as she sighed. She could see some of what she pictured to be the view of a large and beautiful, American city. How she truly did long to travel the world...
"It sounds amazing, Jason. Absolutely fantastic..." she whispered, slowly reopening her eyes and seeing that Jason was now looking at the fountain again. "I wish I could travel..." she sighed.

Jason smiled, he wondered how the season for Aunt Zoey and Uncle Wash was going. He hoped well, that way the could afford to take the boat out for the summer and fish in the Pacific Ocean.
Jason smiled "Yeah I love it out there" Jason said with a smile "My cousin Kaylee doesn't care much, shed rather be a what she calls magic school with me" Jason laughed. It was true, every summer when Jason left to go back to school Kaylee always begged to come with him, she wanted to see what the school looks like and what it was like to be there.
Jason Smiled "then do it" Jason said looking back a Vanessa "This summer just get up one day and take off, if you wanna do something and your heart is set on it, then do it if you don't you will only regret it later"

Vanessa giggled and again, nodded her head in understanding. "Ah, so is your cousin muggle then?" She didn't know the younger girl, but Vanessa thought that she sounded sweet. The girl only reminded Vanessa of her younger brother that much more and she sighed... Victor would never be able to attend any magical schools either. Inside, it really did effect the family, but what was there really to do about it? No one could help the fact that the magic never developed... no one could help the fact that he was a squib.
"It's not that simple..." Vanessa said to Jason softly, trying to smile sympathetically at the boy. "I have to be home to take care of my brother when my parents are working and such..." Vanessa shrugged and sighed. "But maybe someday... I just can't do it right now."

Jason smiled. He never looked a Kaylee like a normal muggle. Kaylee new about the magic world, and knew about Hogwarts. Along with his Aunt and his Uncle. "Yeah shes a muggle, Along with my Aunt and Uncle" Jason said with a smile.
Jason Looked at Vanessa "How olds your brother" Jason asked. Jason didn't have any siblings, he was and only child so he didn't have to worry about watching any siblings, though at times he wish he had a brother or a sister. that way he would some one to hang out with when his parents were gone.

Vanessa smiled and nodded. She held no judgments towards other based on their bloodtypes, but being from a pureblood family, Vanessa was always interested on how some things were done by the muggles that being magical made so much easier. Her best friend from back home was muggle, so she had to learn a lot from her to fit in, but when it all came down to it... she was a witch, and would always be as such. "That's neat," she said with a nod of her head. "My best friend from home is muggle, too." She added, not really knowing why.
"My brother is three years younger than I am. He'll be turning thirteen in about a month, give or take a day or two." Vanessa giggled and then sighed. She didn't mean it to be a sad sigh, but it wasn't all that content either. She looked away from Jason, turning her entire body as she did so. She missed her brother, and really had no idea what he was going through. He knew more about muggle stuff than any of her family did... being a squib, however, made things that much easier for him to have to learn all about them. He was practically muggle...

Jason smiled, he had a few Muggle friends in Seattle, though unlike his aunt and uncle they didn't know that he was a wizard. Jason smiled "Thats cool" He said as he smiled and nodded "So is he in Hufflepuff with you or is he in another house?" Jason asked not knowing that her brother didn't go to Hogwarts with her Jason thought of Kaylee. If Kaylee had turned out to be a witch she would be in her fifth year at the North American Magic Academy. Jason smiled, he thought of all the trouble that Kaylee could get into trouble with magic. She got into enough trouble as a muggle as it was. Jason could almost grantee that Kaylee would end up blowing something up if she was a witch.
