Blaring across the latest issue of the front page of the Daily Prophet was the following article:

03 November 2007. Ministry of Magic, London. Two days ago, the serene and majestic aura of the Ministry of Magic at the hight of its activity was abruptly shattered when the well known auror, Devin Brady, brushed passed innocent ex-fellow employees and visitors as he exited the building. "He had just arrived," the Head of Security told reporters. Apparently Brady was not a usual occupant of the London Offices of late, having been primarily stationed at the new Hogsmeade Sub-Division for the Auror dispatch protecting Hogwarts. "He looked livid," a witch from the Control of Magical Creatures department added, while wrestling with a fire-breathing chicken, "Brady usually has such a charming disposition."
As it turns out, Brady had just been fired personally by the Minister of Magic after spending over fifteen years on the force. While the action was worthy of anger, this has apparently not been the first spell from Devin Brady. The first, as it turns out, was the reason for his firing. Witnessed by many, the auror had attacked a young man on the streets of Diagon Alley. An unidentified informant told the Press that this young man had been a pureblood and the reasons behind the attack were personal. Was this situation a show of excessive force against possible "Deva" members? The Minister of Magic has assured his that if it was, it was through person reasons. He released this statement in regards to the incident:
An auror gone wrong. A tragic incident, but one that the Ministry fortunately was able to handle before the results became catastrophic. Not everyone was relieved at this realization however. Auror Jacob Corrion, the law enforcer in charge of the Hogsmeade Dispatch had his own words to put in, ""He was one of the best, and all political hogwash aside, that's what we need right now. Not another handicap." This coming from an Auror that hours after Brady was fired, charged unannounced into the Minister's private office and threatened him. Another untamed radical reaching the end of his usefulness as a Dark Wizard Hunter? The Ministry has assured us it is not so. Their exact words called it "overreacting, after all, the man had just lost a valuable member of his team." The Daily Prophet is not as sure, but trusts the judgement.
The rest of the community however is relieved that the streets may now be safer. "The man really has quite a temper," Gerard Waine, an affluent member of society said. "I had stopped in to visit the Minister before a luncheon with my wife. He made a number of threats. And, if I recall, believed the Minister relieving him was a 'joke, because the boy is a pureblood'. The Minister made the right choice for our country."
It seems the Minister may have quelled more than just an over eccentric and independent auror.

Devin Brady is a brilliant auror, who just didn't make the best choices. We cannot have our aurors attacking innocent civilians on the street, its just unfortunate it had to be him. What caused it I do not know, too much stress at work perhaps? Whatever the cause. I am sad to see him go, and wish him luck in whatever he chooses to pursue.
