There must have been about one hundred stairs leading up to the second floor of the castle. None of which Alexander felt the need to climb at the moment, but at the same time wished he could either go up or down to the Huffle common room. His foot tapped as he sat across from the stair case, and his patience was still as thick as ever, though he didn't know how much more the soap from the bathroom his skin could take. His hand crossed his forehead, wiping off the residue from the hand soap and he cringed. Yes, this was not good for his skin.
Alexander could feel the bumps rising already, and he figured that any second they'd pop from beneath the skin exposing themselves to the light. Pimples, dots, blackheads, zits, whatever one called them, they were coming to see the light of day again on Alexander's face. Did this writer say his patience was as thick as ever? My mistake.
Alexander was about ready to ask one of the faceless to put him under a sleeping spell just so he couldn't see the damage being done to his face. He wished badly that he had his products, and his cremes. Not to mention, a stick of deodorant would have been nice. Yes, he was freaking out a bit, and sitting in front of the grand staircase, tapping his foot, was not at all helping him.
He needed something. Something to distract him, but still as he looked around the entrance way he couldn't find anything. His knees were up, held tight to his chest, and he laid his head down on them. He had to breath slowly, otherwise he was going to have an asthma attack.....
......Did the writer mention...Alexander doesn't even have asthma.

It was morning and after having talked with Felicity earlier, she had decided to wash up, or at least attempt to, because it was so gross feeling like this. She still was mostly tired, but she had been able to shake some of it off by splashing water on her face. She knew she couldn't sleep, but if she didn't sleep soon, she was certain something bad was going to happen, but she was not sure what. She wasn't certain what that would be, but she was already on her third not of putting off sleep and insomnia was different.
So having done this, she felt the need she find someone to talk to. One, because she had nothing else better to do. And two, because if something weird did start to happen . . .at least she'd be around people? She wasn't quite sure what would happen or even if something would, but she'd known crazy things to happen when people didn't eat and she was sure that sleeping and eating fell together under basic needs.
So she sought out someone to talk to; most of the people here that she knew, she wasn't sure she wanted to talk to. She saw someone though, who looked to be a bit older, sitting down with his legs held to his chest so she approached him. He was starting at the staircase, maybe trying to figure out a way of escape? Lily had all but given up thinking on that; it took too much concentration. "Do you mind if I sit here?" She asked him.

(His legs weren't crossed. They were held tight to his chest and he was laying his head on his knees....just to let you know. ) With his head down, he saw no one coming toward him. Alexander's nerves were shot anyhow and the more he thought of it, the more asking a Deva to stun him into unconsciousness seemed like an excellent idea. All he would have to do was sleep it all off. And Alexander had observed a few Deva who could do the job without flinching. Yes, that's what he would do. It was at the end of his thought process, and final decision that he heard the voice of a girl. Looking up from his legs, he almost let out a groan. He was disgusting, dirty, nasty, and all together unbearable to be around. Alexander lived in his own skin, and couldn't stand himself. Though, maybe the girl knew a stun spell...maybe she hadn't been foolish like himself and given up her wand. She could help him, and he wouldn't even have to go to a faceless and ask one of them. Yes, he was tweaking. His foot still tapping as he looked around nervously from the floor. "No, I don't mind. Just...I have a weird request.....and this is nothing against you, I promise you...but sit a bit aways....not to close, you know?" It wasn't the most polite thing he had ever asked of anyone. Usually, he wasn't so blunt, but he could only imagine how dirty she too was after the few days. He knew it was only natural to be as such after all of what had happened, but this was a boy who took two to three showers a day, used his products twice a day most of the times, and at the moment was not thinking clearly. Looking over the the grand staircase again, he saw a Deva and tried to get up the courage to get up...but then, he figured he'd do it after the girl left him. Alexander didn't want to scare her.

((Yeah I know - that's what I get for doing this in the early morning - sorry *grins sheepishly*))
So that was a weird, request, or so, Lily thought. And she had even just washed, as best that could be possible (which really, it wasn't all that possible). Lily thought it was because she smelled or something and what if she did? But he had said no offense so she was going to try and take it like he had said it? She shook her head lightly to herself, but she honored his request by not sitting too close. Really, it was inhumane of the Deva to let them all go on so long without having a way to fulfill basic hygienic needs. Did the Deva not have noses? Oh right, they didn't. Though she supposed there was worse things, like death.
"I'm Lily." She said, by way of introduction. "And you would be? You have to be an older year." She said, surmising as much. As not everyone looked as young as she did. Being so short and petite and all. She wasn't going to say what year she was, not right now. She thought it might be fun to guess and she might be presently surprise. She had, on past occasions, people guessed her to be a second or third year. Ha, that was a laugh. She smiled a little bit to herself.

As the girl sat down, a yard or so away from him as he had requested, Alexander still paid more attention to the Grand Staircase. Preoccupied, Alexander had never felt so rude and impolite before in his life, but he couldn't stand the torture that it was just living within his own crawling skin. As the girl introduced herself, he peeled his eyes away from the staircase and back to the girl. He tried to smile as warmly as he could muster. "Good Morning, Lily...I'm Alexander. Hufflepuff, in the sixth year. So, I suppose I could be an older student," not that that was helping himself or anyone else much. He really hadn't done anything he found to be very helpful and his chin met with his knees again.
Not even thinking he was supposed to ask the girl back for the information he had just provided, he waited. Frankly, he found that in communication it was just natural for the conversation to be continued as such. Not to mention, he wasn't really thinking about anything that had to with the girl at that moment. Behind her, another Deva member passed, probably patrolling the hallway. If he ran and made a scene, would they stun him? Or would it in fact be easier just.....and then he had it!
Alexander looked around, not sure when the last time it was since he had seen Krissy. Probably just hours before, but the days seemed like years because of his state at that moment and he couldn't remember. He'd ask her to stun him...or find someone to help him. It would be easier, and probably safer. Yes, after his conversation, he'd find the Head Girl.

"Mhm," Lily said, murmuring softly. "You must know Krissy then. Well, I'm sure everyone knows Krissy. She's just that kind of person that everyone knows for one thing or another. Or so I think." Course Krissy wasn't the only person like that, it was just that Lily didn't want to mention the unspeakable Drew - gasp! She said his name. Well, thought it at any rate. She didn't want to think it again. Probably ever. Or at least for however long she was mad at him. Which could be forever.
He seemed kind of distant and she wasn't sure why. Was it because of her? The Deva? Now granted the Deva were stressful, but was he taking it okay? Would he find it offensive if she asked? Would it be all right to ask? Oh, just spit it out already! "Are you okay? Err, you know, okay as one can be, given the circumstances?"

Alexander nodded as Lily asked about Krissy. Who didn't know the Head Girl? And being so close to her as he felt he was, Alexander knew quite well who Lily was talking about. "Yes, I don't think anyone could not know the Head Girl." He chuckled a bit, nervously, as he sat there trying to convince himself that the space between Lily and himself was not in fact closing in. It was all in his head, he knew it, but still he was freaking out as it was.
Are you okay?
"Yea, yea....I'm....I'm fine," was it really that noticeable? Alexander looked at the girl and smiled shakily. "I mean...just a bit on edge is all....how about you? How are you holding up?" Alexander had to think about something else, anything else. At the moment, he'd do almost anything to get his mind off of how his skin was crawling and how he just couldn't stand being in his own skin at the moment. Yes, that was what he would do....he'd distract himself.
