The trip from the Headmistress's office had been mostly uneventful for the small group of students. With the aid of Drew's Extendible Ears and the help of a few of the portraits, they had managed to avoid detection as they made their way to Ravenclaw Tower.
It seemed that the Deva were keeping on the lower levels, a circumstance that made things much easier. If they needed to, they'd probably be able to hop over to Gryffindor (Drew was thinking of the Starbreeze stash up there) and the Room of Requirement if they needed something specific for whatever they planned to do.
Still, once the password was given and the doorway to the common room opened, Drew glanced over the tower to make sure the coast was clear before letting the girls enter. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary and with any luck, Ari would have gotten their message and would be meeting them there. Sure enough, as if greeting the newcomers, Juniper bounded up to him and started weaving himself around the seventeen year old boy's long legs. Ari was here.
"You guys all okay?" Drew asked as he picked up the cat, counting heads as the girls entered, not satisfied that they were all safe until Gail, the last of the group, had gotten in and the door was closed.

Hannah was starting to hate the word okay. It was overrated on all points of the word. While she was with this group, she wouldn't exactly be 'okay'. Oh sure, she was safe, away from the great hall, away from the faceless people and Robert Shaw but she was stuck with Drew and despite the fact that she thought she'd better stick by him so she'd be safe, she would much prefer it if she was back with Hiro. Hannah shouldn't have never left, she'd be much better if she was back in the great hall with Hiro and Jeremy. Not here with Drew and... people she hardly knew.
"If you ask me if I'm okay again, I'm going to have to do something to you" Hannah informed Drew, coming in after him and screwing her face up at him. How many times had it been now, three? The first year hadn't exactly been keeping count, but it was only just getting slightly annoying. Or maybe it was because she was feeling irritated by the fact that she was around all older people and the fact she was missing the two people in the great hall. Maybe she could sneak out later on when they're all asleep and go back to the great hall to be with them.
"But I won't do that something now. I'm going up to the girls dorm" Hannah informed Drew, taking the steps two at time and noticing that Arianna's cat was there in the common room, her brown eyes widening with excitement. Did that actually mean that Arianna was there? Hannah hoped she was, at least she liked her. Reuniting with Arianna would make the terrible mistake she made a bit more bearable.
Stopping halfway on the stairs, she forgot that she was going to the girls dorm but stared back down at the cute kitten that had wrapped it's self around Drew's leg and then stared at the back of Drew's head when he picked the kitten up, a smile appearing upon her face for the first time since she had left the hall. "If Juni's here... that means Arianna's here, right?" Hannah asked the older boy, her brown eyes searching the room for the older girl, hoping that her statement would be true.

Without much of a word, Charlie had gone off in the caravan, following closely by staying in the middle. She had wished to be a more stable and strong pillar of the group, but since relinquishing her wand, she couldn't see how much she could do if she was in the end of the line. Instead, she had to just follow as if they were a small school of kids, following single file line for the next round of activities. Usually that meant for some a slow creep into subservience, but Charlie had to this desire to actually do something useful. Except for such a small thing, she would have had to sit this one out.
Coming into the Ravenclaw, she could already associate the distinct scent and view of the Ravenclaw commonroom to the one time she had stepped into their turf. Sure enough, she had come along that journey illegally, as it was a simple Slytherin-to-Ravenclaw ploy to place bad day hexes on them. The end result was not good as they were caught, by no other than Raynor, actually. The memory had her longing for that bit of fun through the troubles, and she was uncharacteristically missing Reina, who had been the head of the prank.
She was snapped out of it by everyone's words and a cat's greeting. Looking around at the lot of them, she hardened her expression again as they were back in more light, and they could have an easier understanding of what was going on in her head. She hadn't responded to Drew's rollcall, but she began to somehow explore the place a little herself. Taking a path around the inside perimeter of the commonroom, she seemed to scrutinize the area, hoping not to find any sort of pleasant surprises.

Apples and junk food. Apples and junk food. That was all Arianna had eaten for the past...what was it now? Two days? Three days? She couldn't be certain now just how long it had been. All she knew was that it wasn't a good combination to go for almost a full day without any food and then gorge on whatever Drew had left in his stash. Especially if the biggest share of that stash was junk. Arianna had never eaten so much junk and had tried to eat more apples than cauldron cakes. The fruit had been long gone since the day before, though, and neither they, nor the junk food, was very filling.
And so Arianna had eaten more than enough in her attempt to satisfy her hunger pangs, but had only succeeded in getting herself sick. Not a good thing to do when she had so much work to do. Fortunately, she had gathered together everything that was asked of her and brought it into the common room. Everything from extra wands, to cans of paint and jars of lightening were now piled onto the tables, some laying on their sides as though they had been knocked over.
And where was the one that had gathered these things?
She lay under the table, fast asleep on the cool hard floor, knees pulled up to her chest. Near the leg of the table sat a trash bin full of you-know-what. No one would want to get very close to that.

Forcefully removed from a personal bubble of safety against her will, unarmed and technically held at wand point, it all seemed increasingly familiar but in a much calmer sense of it. Lianna would admit that the company was much better than it had been previously and that she trusted each of them simply because of who they were, but in some small aspect it felt almost as though she was nothing more than a hostage once again. And yet, not a hostage per say because she was much more similar to baggage. She was the only one who didn’t want to be a hero -- rather a heroine – and the only one who’d rather have stayed right where they ended up instead of leaving and she was the only one holding them back from doing…whatever crazy things they (Drew) had in their (his) head. Baggage…she was definitely nothing more than baggage…
Something in her mind had told her to apply what little trust and faith she had in Raynor to that little room. Yes the Ravenclaw Head of House had broken most of her cordial bonds simply by sending them here on the seventh floor but she was still the same ‘no-harm-shall-befall-my-students’ Raynor and that was what give her this minute ounce of credibility in her mind. As the other’s opted for relocating to Ravenclaw and decided on an approximate order, the third year glanced once more at the small bag of forgotten powder on the fireplace mantle. Without as much as a second thought she grabbed it up with her left hand once she was on her feet and put it into one of her pockets. Raynor had said that this fireplace was linked to the network, but that didn’t mean that none of the others weren’t, and since a large part of her brain was still itchingly defiant in wanting to go home she wasn’t about to leave what was quite probably her only method of doing so behind.
So now they were bound for Ravenclaw, the six of them, with no real plan farther than ‘get to Ravenclaw’. If that had been replaced by ‘let’s stay put’ they’d be no real better off…what did it matter? As Lianna followed Drew, Hannah and Charlie into the common room, her first instinct was to look around instead of responding to the boy’s question -- which had gone far over her head along with Hannah’s retort. It didn’t look much different from Hufflepuff really. It had chairs, tables with ‘stuff’ on them, still comfier chairs, a fireplace; a portrait of its founder, the only real truthful difference was the coloring, which was predictably mostly blue. While the girl’s eyes remained momentarily transfixed on the tabletop contents it was the odd shape underneath the table that claimed her momentary gaze and a slight tilt of the head. Why put stuff under the table when there was still room on top of it? Since she was unable to actually discern Arianna from anything else due to her distance from the tables themselves, it took her a moment to further contemplate the outline.
“Um...Drew...anyone?” the Huffle questioned awkwardly while pointing toward the oddity some feet away. It almost looked like…a person?

Drew would have told Hannah where to shove it if she had been any older and if this hadn't been such a serious situation. Instead, he ignored her and focused on Lianna's find, carefully leaning down to peek under the table she was pointing at. Juni must have thought the boy was trying to put him down and struggled from Drew's hold, proudly prancing over to the lump under the table as if taking credit for bringing the group together.
"Hey... Ari?" Drew asked softly, not wanting to startle the girl, even though he knew she'd probably take more than a gentle word to wake her.

Arianna groaned in her sleep and rolled over, her foot moving swiftly toward the table leg. Another jar tipped over and rolled close to the edge, though thankfully did not fall off. It looked as though the girl had not been so lucky before now, though, for the whole left side of her face was covered with blue paint and had bits of glass stuck to it. She was so out of it, she hadn't even notice. Nor did she know that she had just received backup and that one of them was attempting to wake her. She wouldn't be able to believe it if she did. Probably would have thought it was all a dream.

Drew righted the tipped jars, recognizing them easily and then deciding they would be better off on the floor. They'd all be in serious trouble if just one jar of lightning broke. He saw the wands amid the supplies and grabbed the two he recognized, stuffing Jeremy's wand in his back pocket and offering his spare to Charlie. If he understood his wandlore correctly, his cousin's wand would work best for him (or Hannah, but she already had one) and the Slytherin would have the best results (aside from himself) with his extra.
"If you guys want to wash up, get some rest..." he offered, pointing to the stairs that led to the girls dorms. He'd catch a shower and then do some planning things out, but he didn't think they'd be able to make a move until morning.
He turned his attention back to the girl under the table and while he felt like he should probably just let her sleep whatever it was off, he really felt the need to rouse her. "Ari!" he called out a little sharper, hoping he wouldn't have to hit her with a stinging hex to wake her up.

This time Arianna heard someone call her name and was roused a bit. Her head was pounding and her stomach still churning and she wasn't so sure she'd really heard it, or if she was just imagining things. That could happen when one was sick. Especially when you were stuck in a room far away from any sort of contact with other people.
"Niccy?" the girl mumbled, rolling back toward the voice. Her leg threatened the table leg again, but missed this time. Lifting a hand to her forehead as though to block out any bright lights, Arianna's eyes slowly opened and peered up at Drew. She would have liked to have pulled him into a great hug, along with anyone else in the room, but could barely move without feeling that she would have to use the trash bin once again.
"Is it over?" she asked with as much hopefulness as she could muster, her voice slightly slurred from sleepiness. Sure, that would mean that all her hard work had been no use, but that didn't matter. Arianna hadn't been looking forward to a fight anyway. "Niccy okay? And Krissy?"

"Not by a long shot," Drew answered, squatting down to her level and flicking his borrowed wand at the trash bin when, with a grimace, he got a whiff and realized why it was there.
Merlin, it felt good to use magic again.
"Raynor showed up. Pulled a fast one on the Deva downstairs and sent the six of us up here instead," he told her, looking over his shoulder at the others. "We're supposed to do something about it all... we just have to figure out what." He had a few ideas, but wanted to hear what the others had to say first. He glanced over at Lianna again, worried mostly about her take on the whole thing. She still didn't look very well.

Arianna groaned and ran her hands over her face, trying to get rid of the sick feeling. It seemed to be worsening now, but whether it was simply because of the junk food, or the fact that she had suddenly grown even more worried about things, she didn't know. It had been bad enough when she had no word but the little notes passed with Juni's help, but Drew hadn't even answered her last two questions so she automatically assumed that he simply didn't want to bring anymore bad news.
"I'm sorry. I was working on getting everything down to you," she muttered apologetically, her hand making a motion to the table above her. "I could have gotten it too you this morning, but I haven't been able to sit up for more than two seconds before..." her nose crinkled and she motioned to the bin Drew had just hit with a spell. By the look on his face, he knew what was in there and probably would have been happier not knowing. "I think that's got to be every last bit of your stash in there."

Hannah had answered her own question inside her head. After all, she was a Ravenclaw and seeing as how Juni was here, it definitely meant that Arianna would be here and the word duh was floating around inside her head when she started to think of cats. Because mostly, cat's did stay around their owners... unless they went out to do some business or they went out to catch mice.
Hannah watched the other younger girl point her finger to the vicinity underneath the table and lump of something or someone. Was it her? Hannah couldn't hear what they were saying from her point on the stairs and quickly took the stairs two at a time to the bottom. Squinting her eyes and straining her ears she allowed herself to eavesdrop and from what she could hear, it was Arianna's voice, saying something about Drew's stash being somewhere.
Hannah couldn't stand it any longer, she had to know if Arianna was okay and if it was really her or not. Walking over to where Drew was, she looked from him, to Arianna underneath the table and back to Drew again and echoed what he had asked her before. But she had to say it, she liked Arianna after all... "Is she okay?" Hannah asked, not sure if she should redirect the question to Arianna herself under the table. The older girl underneath the table didn't look too well to her.

Gail breathed a deep sigh of relief when she heard the door shut behind her. If she had not been last in line, responsible for those before her, she would have kissed the door knocker. The halls gave her the feeling they were being followed. Perhaps she was being overly paranoid, but she had still kept her eyes moving over everything that moved, wand ready. Upon crossing the threshold, she had finally put it down.
Lianna pointed out a shape underneath a table, and it proved to be their seventh member. The portrait Drew sent off had let them know Ari would be present in Ravenclaw when they arrived. It had failed to mention that she was already there. In fact, it seemed she had been here for some time, and her face was twisted with pain and fever. Drew’s reaction to the nearby trash can gave a hint as to what it contained, but Gail knew better than to ask.
According to Ari, the piles on the table above her represented the entirety of Drew’s stash. Gail was impressed. She knew he had a good-sized collection of things, but she had no idea it was this large. It wasn’t exactly a column of Aurors, but it was better than she had been expecting. She badly wanted to examine the stash, but she hesitated to do so with Ari still under the table and Drew next to her. Thus, she settled for giving a hard look to the objects from a distance, trying to figure out if there was anything they could do.
Suddenly, Hannah asked if Ari was alright. Gail crossed over next to the younger girl and put her arm around Hannah’s shoulders. “She will be, ‘kay, Hannah?” she said quietly, and held her a little tighter. Then her eyes widened a bit. “Yeah, Ari?” This was followed, rather indelicately (if unintentionally), by a loud grumble from her stomach. She looked down at it rather guiltily and pursed her lips.

Charlie took the spare, and swished her wrist with the spare. "Orchideous," she recited, and just as she expected, flowers came out of nowhere and in her hand. The downfall had been that they were all mostly buds and not full grown, but she had expected that. Her magic had always been somewhat tricky to her and very picky. Being without her own wand just took things down a notch in her ability. "Works for me," she said after her test and waved the flowers-- for some reason, they were lilies-of-the-valley-- and looked at her group. "Anyone want this?"
She had done her testing now, and was listening on about the sudden news on the status of food. She sort of grunted to herself and dug through her robe pockets and took out a stale, hard roll of bread. Dusting off the bit of crumbs, she gave it a toss towards Gail. "Have at it," she said to the Ravenclaw and in fact took off her robe. Digging around her robes, she pulled out what she had stored up: bread, pastries-- both sweet and not. It was all she could really put in there without making much of a mess aside the crumbs. If there was one thing she hated, it was to go hungry.

The stash Ari had been talking about was, of course, his snack stash which had consisted mostly of apples and junk food... things that kept well in the dorms over a period of time. Probably not the best option for trying to fight off hunger for two days. It was unfortunate that Ari had gone through most of it. They had left before dinner had been served. even so, as hungry as he was, when Charli9e produced her offerings he declined, wanting to get plans going quickly. He could eat later.
He looked over at Arianna when Hannah asked how she was doing but didn't echo the question. The older girl looked kind of scraggy, but then again, they all probably did.
"I think we need to figure out a way of getting the little kids out of the castle," Drew said, glancing over at Lianna to let her know that he meant her too if she wanted. With what he was planning, most of the stuff they needed was right there in the common room.
And he figured he could get some decent rappelling gear from the Room of Requirement.
