16 January 2008 9:00am
This was becoming more and more tedious by the day. The students, professors, and Deva themselves all seemed to be at their wits ends. Alfonz stood in front of the window looking out onto the snowy courtyard yet again starring off into the unknown and uncaring. He almost wished he could in fact leave the halls of Hogwarts and go home. The quidditch season would be starting up soon, and he couldn't wait to get on his broom again and fly through the air. That was, if he wasn't singled out again like he had been the night before. Brady really had done it that time, and whereas Celina may pay for it in school with criticism, Alfonz was sure to pay for it with his career.
He sighed, and his shoulders sank annoyed with himself for even saying anything. That man upset him something dearly and every time he showed his face, Alfonz always felt he had to say something snide to him. An old man who knew nothing more than to torment the young. A blood traitor, and over all, what Alfonz was fighting against. It was people like him that took away from those who deserved what they worked for and he recieved. And with his fondness towards pushing Alfonz's buttons, it also was a wonder he had kept away from Celina, especially since he seemed all knowing that Alfonz was there the entire time.
As Alfonz continued to look outside the window, he thanked Merlin for the small favors granted to him with that. Now if he only knew where it all lead to next.

Perfect. Krissy had managed to escape the other Huffle's and the older and younger students for the moment. She had been having trouble finding time to herself where she could test the boundaries of these faceless and see just how far she could push them. Her first attempt had been thwarted by Alexander, and though she didn't at all as the time she had spent with him had been absolute wonderful, she was disappointed that she hadn't yet been able to do much for the cause. However it seemed at this moment that she was in luck. A single deva member was standing over by the window. Krissy recognised him. His name had been mentioned by Professor Brady the night previous. She didn't know his sister however and so didn't know he was actually related to a student. Perhaps if that was the case she may have chose a different path to tread with him.
Krissy had barely had any sleep for the last few days, perhaps a couple of hours in little bits where she may have dozed off from tiredness but no more then that. She kept patrolling the area's trying to keep a watch on the other kids. She didn't want them to have any trouble in the nights.
Krissy already knew, least a little, how Shaw would react if he had vegetables launched at him, but how would his cronies react? Krissy knew this one was at least tamer then the other one that had been at the dinner the previous night. He had been the one who had hexed the potions wench the first night. Krissy had been amazed at that as she could have sworn the woman was evil and probably fighting with them. But it seemed she wasn't. This man who stood at the window though, she didn't know how he would react to things. He would be a good one to test.
Krissy ducked behind part of the wall and withdrew a potato from her pocket. Yes, it just so happened to be one of the potato's she had taken from the dinner table on the first night. It was beginning to get a slight bit old but that didn't worry Krissy. Krissy drew back her arm and launched the vegetable at the man by the window. Either she would hit, and get to see his reaction, or she would miss and perhaps break a window. Neither one was predictable. There was also the options that her throw could go completely off and not hit the man or the window, of the man might sense it coming and use magic to stop it. Krissy didn't know which one was more likely. She kept her head visible around the wall, waiting to see what happened.

Deep in thought, he didn't even realize what was aimed for him. Alfonz would never had had time to duck out of the way, or shoot the vegetable with his wand that still lay dormant in his pocket. He was too much engrossed in the thoughts of his sister and a man he couldn’t stand. Alfonz was one to fully take responsibilities for all of his actions, but he admitted to catalysts helping his decisions such as the incident in Diagon Alley. It was there that he had felt completely and utterly helpless and humiliated. And as the potato was hurling though the air, Alfonz didn’t know what hit him until the rock hard potato bounced off.
“Ah!” he growled as his hand instinctively found the place on his head where the potato had hit. Turning around with great speed, his eyes were filled with dark twisters of annoyance and irritation. Whoever the hell had just hit him with a….as he looked down he could see that potato and became even more annoyed. And with a potato, of all things to hit a Deva with they had chosen a potato? How adult was that? And then Shaw’s voice that was getting rather nagging of how they were all just children filled Alfonz’s mind.
Alfonz was on the verge of snapping. But when Alfonz snapped he did as any good Jedynak did and walked away. He’d leave Hogwarts, take Celina, and figure out how to get her into Durmstrung. The only time he hadn’t walked away was in Diagon Alley, and he remembered all too well how that ended up. “Do you not have anything better to do with your time?” he venomously asked the student he figured was hiding from his persecutions.

Krissy cheered silently as her potato found its correct target and smacked the member of the faceless in the back of the head. Right on target. Oh that was good. Sure she would have loved to have broken the window too, but hitting him in the back of the head just had so many more perks. Not to mention a slight sense of accomplishment. Teach them to take over her school.
The man gripped the back of his head and turned, Krissy ducked behind the wall again, making sure she was ready to either draw her wand or escape if necessary. The man seemed not to snap though. He must have figured it was a student who had thrown the vegetable. Well of course it wouldn't exactly be another member of the deva. Well, that was definitely a step in the right direction. He was talking rather then shooting curses all over the place. Perhaps these faceless weren't all as ruthless as the papers denounced and they like Shaw had been given a pretty rough go in the black and white print. Then again, that other one who cursed the professor, she was sure he was probably everything the papers said and more.
Krissy couldn't help but smirk at the man's comment. Anything better to do with her time? Hardly. It wasn't like she could go outside, or read a book from the library. Her pets were locked in Hufflepuff and her potions probably blowing up. All her balls and toys were locked in her trunk and she hadn't been given any home work yet. Krissy stepped out from behind her chink in the wall, showing herself to the man for the first time. She was confident enough to trust that he wasn't about to curse her to oblivion. But how far could she push him before he would want to? "Naw it seems all my classes have been cancelled" Krissy said rolling her eyes with distaste. "Gee... I wonder who's fault that is" Krissy added on, sarcasm dripping from her words. Her wand was up her sleeve in easy accessibility for her to reach if he went to kill her. She was also still a close enough distance to her wall to be able to jump back into her hiding spot if need be. Perhaps she could bug ask him to go fetch her a book to read if he wanted her not to throw any more potato's. She was sure a faceless like himself would love to run errands for a sleep deprived seventh year.

Out from behind the wall came a girl with dark hair. Her robes, Alfonz noticed, were of a different color than those his younger sister wore. Different house? Alfonz stretched his knowledge of Hogwarts and how they were divided. Houses...he was sure that's what they were called. All he knew of, however, was Ravenclaw. But as he thought, the young woman spoke and her sarcasm wasn't amusing in the least bit to Alfonz.
"It's not like you actually want to go to classes I'm sure," he retorted. He turned back to looking out the window, hoping the girl would just go away, without throwing another potato. It had been a long and tiring weekend, and as human as they didn't seem, Alfonz was beat. He didn't reach for his wand, or make any threatening movements, he didn't even want to acknowledge the girl. It wasn't his plan, he just followed orders...as much as he hated to admit it. And with all of his failed attempts, Alfonz wasn't even in the mood to explain to the girl why he was there. He was Deva, that was all that there was to it in the minds of these people. He scoffed...they didn't even know what Deva meant.

The man seemed to look her up and down before speaking to her. Krissy smirked at his responce. Not be in classes? Like hell. Krissy liked the classes she was doing. "Actually with my final exams coming up I'd love to be sitting in a classroom" Krissy said to the man, her eyes focussing on him rather closely. He turned away from her but she didn't mind. It wasn't like seeing his face made any difference. Not to mention this way she knew he would have to turn before cursing her. In the matter of life and death wether he was facing her or not made all the difference.
"Anyway" Krissy said, taking a couple more steps away from the wall towards the man "Anythings better then watching you lot parade around like you own the place" Krissy paused or a moment, her smirk widening. "I mean seriously... Don't you have anything better to do with your time" Mirroring the mans words back to him. Yes she was pushing her luck, but she needed to know which ones to push and which ones to avoid.
Was she scared? A little. Was she going to back down? Unlikely.

Karma must have been catching back up with him. As Alfonz had turned the young woman continued to talk and he rolled his eyes. She liked classes? That was great, she should go and study then. Alfonz was sure that if she got together all who was in her class, they'd know enough together to teach each other...without using wands, that was. All Alfonz needed was for Shaw to think that he gave them permission to take out whatever wands were not collected and start firing off whatever. Yea, he'd keep h is mouth shut on that one.
As she crept closer to him, Alfonz almost wondered if she was getting closer to do something foolish. He peeked over his shoulder. The dark haired girl was just moving closer. Odd? Just a bit, but Alfonz turned back to the window. If there was any message that should be given, it was one that he out of any of them was not about to hurt someone. He had done enough of that already, before he had gotten to Hogwarts. His chest cavity and the pain he felt within an organ he never wanted to admit he had was the constant reminder of that. No wonder he was trying to talk up the Deva while he was here...out of all of them, the ideals for what Deva is that Shaw laid down for him in their first meeting was still more admiral than his own.
If he hadn't been so thick headed.....if he had just thought.....
Snapping out of the trans he found himself to be in, Alfonz shrugged. "What's better to do than putting your life on the line for a cause, trying to protect the people you...." he stumbled over the word of 'love', for anymore he couldn't tell if he was just talking about his sister. "...the people you care about..."
He turned slightly and leaned against the wall with the window to his back. "But....now that I've said that, I'm sure you are going to argue with me that my way is not ethical or something. If that's the case miss....I've heard enough of that, and you may leave."

The man seemed to be keeping a relatively close eye on her actions, peeking over his shoulder to watch her move. It was unlikely she would be able to launch another potato without him noticing. However she would wait to see. As he spoke Krissy scowled slightly. Their live's were on the line? She didn't think so. All they were doing was threatening students lives. Half of the kids who couldn't even protect themselves. Not to mention they had confiscated 'all' the wands to make it even less likely they would even get jynxed slightly.
However the man turned to face her and it seemed he could read her mind and told her if she was going to argue with him to leave. Krissy scowled slightly. That was exactly what she had been referencing earlier. They were acting as though they were the boss's around here. Well they certainly wouldn't be bossing her around. Threat of life or death or not. She took orders only from people she respected, and usually they didn't order they asked. "I can and will leave whenever I want to" Krissy retorted to the man with a stern expression and look "I don't need your permission to do so" So her fiery red hair may not still be present, but the attitude that matched it definitely was.
"And I don't see you putting your life on the line. Your threatening children that can't even protect themselves. And the one means they had of even trying to you removed from them" She herself wasn't a child any more and she knew that well enough. Plus her way of protecting herself was safely tucked up her sleeve. She hadn't given it up, nor would she. They wanted it and they would need to take it by force, and from her, it would mean alot of hex's flying around mixed with as much muggle fighting as she could do on the way. However she was keen to keep it a secret that she had it for a good while. "Real terrifying business that is ay mate" Krissy said, her words reverting back to a bit of her Aussie lingo. Krissy rolled her eyes. She wondered where Shaw managed to pick these faceless up from. Some of them seemed rather daft. Then again, first impressions could be rather misleading. Perhaps he would prove otherwise. Only time would tell.

It was true, and very unfortunate. As long as the young woman was staying on the first floor and not really acting out of line in any way, Alfonz would have to stand there, looking at her blankly and listen to her ramblings. It wasn't as if this was his plan of action. He just followed the plan, and in the end, let it work out for him as best it could. In some respects he despised what he was doing. Alfonz in this case, was the most independent follower you would find. How ironic was that? Alfonz found it very ironic, and very unpleasant but he did what had to be done in order to protect his sister. Yes, he sounds like a broken record, but why else was he really there?
"I don't know what you want me to say? Agree with you? Hardly...I'm not doing anything of the sort, in any way you are speaking. I'm here to accomplish a job, and as to putting my life on the line? You're even more wrong there. I'm only worried about one thing....and frankly I don't have time or energy anymore for anything else." Alfonz being done with his speech turned around and looked back out the window.

"If you don't have the time and energy for anything else why don't you just rack off and leave us all alone. I'm pretty sure everyone would be WAY more safer if your lot got their butt's out of our school" Krissy said looking at the guy with a look that, though it showed dislike, showed more defiance then anything else. It was obvious she would be trouble. She didn't really care what the guy was doing she just wanted him and his faceless out of the school and to quit scaring her friends. She didn't have a clue of their purposes, nor did she really care. She couldn't help but wonder what kind of gutless wonders removed wands from young children even when they knew they couldn't do anything. It was alot like that idiotic vampire. She wouldn't be surprised if he upped and joined these guys. They did present alot of the same actions.
Krissy realised the guy wasn't about to curse her, not yet, so she dared to take a few more steps towards him. The distance between herself and the faceless man was lessening and she wasn't sure what his reaction would be. Afterall, it was unlikely he wanted her anywhere near her and now she was gaining her own ground towards him and locking him into his spot near the window. It was partly a intimidation factor in a way (although whether it would work or not was unknown) she was intruding upon his space and taking it back as her own. It was partly her own way to how he would react at her taking the room back, however she was ready to retreat at any moment. She wasn't about to get herself cursed. Not just yet.

Alfonz felt the presence of the girl closing in on him and he didn't know what she was about to do. Not knowing that she too had a wand, he feared from her little, underestimating her greatly. She'd hit him with a potato, was there nothing more that she could do? He spoke not, and continued to look out the window. The snow was falling gracefully and sparkled ever so gently. He knew how much Celina loved the snow, and tried not to worry about what the girl was doing behind him.
"Then go and speak to Shaw. I'm sure you are fully capable of understanding that he is in charge...and I'm not leaving until all of the Deva leave." Leave Celina with all the Deva and leave? Was this girl mad? Obviously she was, and as Alfonz continued to remember the damn potato, his jaw clenched a bit. What a fool this girl was. He wasn't about to leave his younger sister, especially not because some twerp told him that he should.

Underestimating Krissy was probably one of the worst things the man could have done. She was unpredictable and wild and unpredicting her usually meant being surprised by one of her stupid moves. However not knowing she had a wand, or how she normally acted it was quite easy too under predict her. Krissy watched the man's back as she edged closer, he seemed to be trying to ignore her presence, which was likely to mean her presence bothered him. He had already told her to leave afterall.
Krissy was still a good distance away from the man and he spoke to her without turning to face her. Krissy's hand dropped into her pocket once more, catching ahold of another one of the potato's that was in there. This one was relatively new and was still soft from being cooked. Krissy threw it again, not at the man this time however but at the wall next to the window. Scare tactic? Perhaps. "You know its polite to look at someone when your speaking to them" Krissy said with a slight air of both authority and casuality. "Oh and me and Shaw have spoke but he is in for another speaking too soon" Yes, she was acting as though Shaw and her spoke on a regular basis, which was obviously not true, but also speaking as though he didn't scare her in the slightest. Which amazingly enough, he really didn't. Not fear for herself anyway, only fear for those who get in his way. Which didn't seem to be her.

In Alfonz's mind, there was too much to be thought of that was distracting him from the annoyance of the girl behind him that he had drifted yet again. He didn't hear her movements, nor did he really care, that was....until the potato hit the wall. What in bloody hell....could she not see that he wanted to be left alone to his own thoughts?
Oh and me and Shaw have spoke but he is in for another speaking too soon.
"Ah, then you must be the person he was planning on meeting by the entrance doorways, he was telling me about," Alfonz blatently, but not obviously lied. His tone was rather monotoned, and he just barely looked over his shoulder to peer at the girl. She was fired up, that wasn't hard to see. She had alot of spunk, and in a way reminded him of.....no, she wasn't anything like Shay. She was belligerent and useless. This young girl was nothing but a thorn in his side...then again, so was Shay, but in a completely different way.
"If you're so into helping your peers...maybe then you should be off with your meeting, for doing anything to me will not get you anywhere but in confinement." Alfonz looked back toward the window and tried to forget that Shay had even crossed his mind. Especially, as the snow fell so gently, and he could imagine nothing as beautiful as it, but her.

"Ooo confinement" Krissy mocked, a smirk crossing her face. She didn't have a meeting with Shaw and didn't have anything to say to him just yet. Her quest at the moment was to annoy this deva member and by his obvious attempts to get rid of her she knew she was succeeding. Krissy didn't care if Shaw really did have a meeting in the entrance hall. It wasn't with her, and though it would be fun to mess it up and launch potato's from all directions, she knew her mission was here with this deva member.
He was wrong in his words, this would get something going for her, she would know how far until he snapped. She took another couple steps closer. He still wasn't looking at her. She had half a mind to launch another potato at the back of his head.Instead she launched another one at the opposite side of the wall next to the window to the one she had previously hit. "Isn't my meeting that Shaw's going to, we don't make meetings, I sneak out of the shadows and pounce when he's expecting me least" Sure it was a lie, and an obvious one, but hey she was allowed to lie to these filthy liars wasn't she? Afterall, it wasn't like she could sink lower then they were.

"Ah, sneak up on him? Sounds like a bit of a stalker to me," Alfonz turned and his tone was filled with jest and sarcasm. He crossed his arms and leaned back again against the window. The potato hadn't even made him flinch. It was as if after the first two he expected her to throw another one. What was the game she was playing? Obviously, she didn't want to leave, though Alfonz could only hope that it wasn't like some of the other students that had previously come on to him a bit that weekend. All he needed was more young girls to come on to him....especially ones as useless as these seemed to be. A flash of Shay popped into his mind, and all he could do was smirk at this girl and how close she had gotten to him while his back was turned. Not that she could see his smirk any.
"So, if you insist on staying, miss....is there a certain name you'd like me to address you by? Or am I just going to have to call you girl from now on?" Alfonz didn't care, but if she was staying he might as well know the damn annoyances name.
