Accepted. Welcome to Hogwarts!
Year: Sixth
House: Slytherin
Blood Status: Pure
Wand: 15 1/2 inches Willow, Fairy Wing core.
[ Physical Character Description: ]
Tallulah is the prime example of the 'it' girl. She's always in style. Always prim and perfect. And she knew it. Her hair was straight, the straight hair that everyone wants. It was the color of burnt sienna. She usually kept her hair down with a bow or headband in it. Tallulah's eyes are a light brown with blue hints in them. Her skin was a creamy white and unblotched. She could never remember having a zit or a blackhead. Her lips are rosy as to the lipgloss she wore, and usually in the position of a smug smirk. Her nose is small and slender, unlike some of her friends from home who had an 'emergency visit' at St. Mungos and they came out looking a heck of a lot nicer. Tallulah doesn't need makeup. She is too pretty for all of that clutter on her face but when she does wear it she'll only put it on minimally, just to help her features. Her expressions range from boredom to slight amusement. She never gave anything away. She is about 5'3 (5'6 with heels) and weights a waify 115. The only mar on her perfect face is a small scar on the right side of her lip from an accident when she was younger.
Outside of classrooms and school Tallulah can usually be seen in the pricest clothing. Cashmere sweaters, silk skirts, jeans that cost $300 dollars and are tailored to her body. She is never ever one to commit a fashion faux pas. She would die if she did. Her mother would die if she did. She usually shops at Twillfit & Tattings, a wizard clothing store for people who have more of an expendable income, something her parents have and give to her on a daily basis.
[ Personality Character Description: ]
Tallulah is your average rich girl. She thinks most people are below her, though she doesn't care about blood (usually). She cares about how people take care of themselves and if they care about their personal image. She doesn't care if people think she is a brat because she knows she is and she loves it. Bratty, rich, and yet she can be caring. She won't admit it when she does care for people. Though she won't go out of her way to help anyone. Her parents always told her she was the best and she should only be with the best and after a while this changed her view on herself. She at times forgets there are other people in the world. She has a wide range of emotions but she is usually bored or slightly amused.
Tallulah is intelligent, more so then her mother who barely graduated. Against her mother's wishes she did well in school (not that her mother wanted her to slack), she did really well. School was something she didn't have to get by on with her looks. Her best classes are Potions and Charms, something that she loved to do when she could get away with it. When she was at Beauxbatons she was one of the top in her class. She always did her work and did it well. Like fashion she cared what her homework looked like.
[ History: ]
Tallulah Skeffington was born on a warm July 2nd. Her parents, Brighton and Lilith couldn't be happier when she was born. After her birth she was raised by nannies, her parents taking part in little to none of their darling daughter's life. She was more of a doll on a mantle piece then a family member who needed love. Her younger years went by uneventful with her father working, her mother having garden parties and them bringing her out for said parties to show off their 'perfect child'. The one moment that stands out in her mind was when her family's estate had been 'invaded' by Ministry of Magic personnel. Tallulah had no idea what was going on and why her father was so upset. She knew her father's friends weren't people most would hang out with. She knew her father had been a Death Eater when they were still around. Her mother did nothing to shield her daughter from this invasion, she only sat passively as these men ransacked their home. At a young age Tallulah learned she only needed herself and that anyone else would just use her as a pretty picture to stare at. That is when she learned she could use her looks to get her what she wanted. At first it was just a candy here or there but as she grew up it became bigger things, better things. Boys fell over her as she walked down Diagon Alley, try tried to buy her things. She made sure she was unattainable, only going to the dances with the richest, most beautiful boy there was. All of this didn't help Tallulah's heart from growing icy. She stopped trying to be nice for a while. All she wanted to do was go to parties and turn people down left and right. This was her only addiction. Her power over people. She knew it was bad and she would never break it until she felt that someone cared about the person, not the looks. She thought that person would never come.
Until she met Jean, a boy at Beauxbatons. He was of muggle background and not very rich. They had charms classes together and one day they were stuck together to do cheering charms. She couldn't believe the way he made her feel. Not loving but she felt that she was needed. They became fast friends, sitting together at all times. He made her smile in ways she never knew she could. But one day her parents decided to visit and caught her with this boy. Though they were not in a comprimising position they couldn't believe she would stoop so low as to be friends with him. So they took her out of Beauxbatons immediately, thinking that Hogwarts would be a better place for their darling daughter. She fought all the way, saying she'd never do her work and fail out just so they could send her back to Jean. Her parents knew she'd give in and do her work. The one thing in life she wants is to never end up like her parents.
[ Pros and Cons : ]
Pro 1) Tallulah is a very dilligent worker. She believes that a strong mind will breed a strong heart. She's not one to pay someone else to do her work. She may just be that rich but she isn't lazy. Lazy people are worthless and she is definatly not worhtless.
2) Tallulah isn't one to gossip. Gossip is for people who have nothing to do and Tallulah can always find something to do. Though she thinks she is better then most other people in the world she isn't one to tell everyone else what she thinks. She also doesn't wear her heart on her sleeve. No one needs to know how she feels about a situation.
3) Tallulah is very good at sewing/crocheting. The only thing her mother ever taught her was how to sew and crochet. When she was younger she didn't think much of it but as she got older she noticed how much fun she could have while doing this. She could also making scarves and other accesories for her various outfits.
Con 1) The worst thing about Tallulah is her inability to let most in. She was taught to not let people who weren't like her, who weren't rich, who weren't pure blooded, and though she tried to break this and be like the others she seems to get stuck in these mindsets of family, wealth, and power.
2) She gets everything she wants. Though she wouldn't think this is one. She never had to work for anything. She is quite spoiled and doesn't think about other people's money situation. Like if going out to dinner with someone who isn't as rich as her, she might pick an expensive restaraunt without thinking about how the other person will pay.
3) Her third con would be her view of herself. Though she thinks she is pretty she thinks that she is only a prize for someone to win. I mean, thats what her mother was so she must also be one. She knows that when she graduates she'll be already getting married and starting a life that she doesn't want and there is no way to stop this fate.
[Role Playing Example:]
Her sharp heels clicked away as she walked down Diagon Alley. Tallulah had spent the first part of her day at a Muggle coffee shop, a place where her parents couldn't find her. She needed to get away from her mother's constant gossiping and nagging about the state of the boys Tallulah's age. Tallulah wasn't thinking of boys at this time. For once she wasn't thinking of anything. Her mind wandered as she passed shops of all sorts. Quidditch, apothacaries, a clothing store or two. She loved it all. She passed Flourish and Blotts, her favorite store on Diagon Alley. As she peered in through the window and she saw a few books that peeked her intrest. She made a mental note to come back once she did what she had to.
As she walked past Ollivander's she noticed a boy, his name was Wenthworth or something like that, walked up to her with a stupid grin on his face. She was used to this 'look' boys got. He started to speak about some sort of gala event his parents were holding at their mansion. While he was saying this she clearly remembered her mother throwing away said invatation. She let him speak a little while longer, or until they got to Gringott's.Does he really think telling me about this event is going to get me to come, Tallulah thought, her smile never leaving her face. Tallulah nodded along trying to look as excited as him but she knew she looked only mildly into what he was saying. She stifled a yawn, making it look like she was fixing her lipgloss.
As they neared Gringott's she turned to him, giving him her best smile and a nice pat on the arm. "Wentworth, I will ask Mum about the party and see if I could come, Ok?" She asked, giving him another smile. He nodded, it looked as if he could melt on the spot. With another light pat and grin, Tallulah turned away and walked into Gringott's forgetting whats-his-name. This was her life. This was her curse, or well something like it.
