"Sounds good to me."
There a few things wrong with the little picnic he had planned, but Felicity figured it wasn't too bad considering he was actually there. And this was a perfect surprise, definitely not one she'd been expecting. Raynor surely couldn't say anything against their plans for the moment, and there wasn't a dance again this year, so she wasn't missing any events at the castle. Her friends were all off doing their own things this year, allowing Felicity to be free from any engagements and to enjoy her little surprise he'd set up.

Drew could have listed about a hundred things that were wrong with the date he had planned, starting with the damned fence between them and ending with the fact that there was a huge fence between them. Smack in the middle would be the weather, the bloody fence of course, and the fact that he had left her present sitting on his bedside table back home. He was upset most by the fence and the missing present, but thought the chance to spend any time with her at all outweighed all of the negatives.
He handed a plate to her before pushing the chicken platter through the bars so she could serve herself. He placed a biscuit and some vegatables on his own plate, but surprisingly wasn't that hungry. The butterflies seemed to be taking up a lot of room in his stomach at the moment and besides, eating seemed to just be time that was unfocused on her.

Taking the offered dishes, she helped herself as intended, before passing the chicken back to him. It was her favourite food, chicken was excellent with so many side dishes and tasted good baked so many ways. Filling her plate with the other goodies he'd brought, she nibbled a little edge of the biscuit and smiled at him. It was nice, having the chance to spend time with him like that, and November seemed like it would stretch forever in front of them. One good thing was it gave her plenty of time to decide on a birthday gift, and she hadn't the faintest clue what he wanted. There wasn't exactly time to drop subtle hints right up until the trip.
"Drew, you're birthday's coming up, what do you want?" she asked bluntly. Sometimes there was a good side to bluntness, it gave someone a chance to be direct and get a direct answer.

Drew took the plates back and served himself, grinning over at her at every chance possible. There was one point where he almost spooned his vegitables into his milk glass, but fortunately, he caught the mistake in time.
He thought her question was kind of funny and he looked at her again with a crooked smile. "To spend it with you?" he answered, knowing it sounded way corney, but it was still the most honest answer. "Seriously, that's all I want. Whatever we do, I want to spend it with you."

That smile of his was irresistible to the blonde, and she was pretty sure he knew her heart melted every time he flashed it, but she hoped he'd never stop smiling it either. The answer he gave was one she had hoped for, rather figured he'd tell her, and all around expected, it didn't stop her from blushing over slightly though. Every time he told her he just wanted to spend time with her made her face warm over with pleasure at the thought he really wanted to be with her, spend his precious time with her, and was with her.
"You don't really want anything?" she asked, hoping he'd say yes. She wasn't the best gift-giver, she knew, but she did try. It was better to have her friends, and him, just tell her what they wanted rather than to blindly pick something on her own. "I mean, gift-wise? Because you know I always want to spend my time with you, and if we can I really want to, but what about a real gift? Something I could give you for your birthday?"
His last one had been pretty nice in her opinion, having spent the entire day in Hogsmeade together, and everything that happened after a little snip, but, it was worth it. Every moment was.

"No, just you," he answered with a shake of his head. There really wasn't anything he could think of that he wanted or needed more than her and besides, he knew that if she decided to wrap something up in a box, he'd love it no matter what it was.
But he knew she hated it when he wasn't helpful in matters like this. "I can always use another sweater," he said, though he knew that probably wasn't what she was hoping for. "Or what if you get something for Snowflake? That counts, right?"

A sweater would be easy enough to purchase, knowing his favourite colour and size by now. But he had many sweaters, though supposed there was nothing wrong with adding another to his collection. The only problem would be that she couldn't exactly shop from behind the prison gates Hogwarts surrounded her in, and mail ordering seemed so informal. What if she liked something in on paper, but not so much in person? It'd be rude to send it back when it was what was purchased originally.
"No, that doesn't count, it isn't her birthday," she answered, sticking her tongue out at the boy. Snowflake's birthday was even after her own next birthday, so the puppy had a while to wait, but Felicity all ready had her Christmas present in the making; and one for Drew as well.
"There's nothing special in particular you can think of?" It wasn't that big of a deal, and she knew it, but she wanted to be sure she got him something he'd want. "Besides me...?" she asked with a slow smile. He had pretty much said it first, she was just making sure he really did want her.

Drew didn't actually think a present for Snowflake would really count, but he thought he'd give it a try anyway. If she had gone for it, things would have been easier, but unfortunately she didn't.
"Uh... A nice picture of you?" he tried with a wide grin. While his expression hinted at a tease, he actually thought that might be a pretty good present. He'd still be getting her technically and she'd have something to wrap. Plus, he could stick it up in his locker at work and get to see it every day. Then, maybe the other guys at work would actually bel;ieve a dork like him could have a hot girlfriend. His grin grew wider just thinking of it.

"You want another one?" she asked, answering his smile with a laugh. Felicity loved taking photographs, and having hers taken, and really wouldn't mind giving Drew another photo of her, though much preferred ones of him...or them together herself. But she figured that would be even easier than getting a sweater by mail, if she didn't like it all she had to do was keep it herself (or destroy it) and look at the next one. If she was lucky, she could rope Connor into helping her with a photo session, and Tapia had let her brew a photograph potion before, and likely would again. That would be an all right gift to give, she supposed.
"I could do that for you, if it's what you really want," she continued. "Do you want a particular pose," the blonde asked teasingly, striking a model look that failed completely. "Can I take it with one of your hats on?" Felicity was a little hopeful about the last one.

She seemed agreeable to his suggestion and he nodded when she asked if that's what he really wanted. The more pictures he had, the more often he could see her even when she wasn't around. He had a few in his room at his folks' house, more at his aunt's place, a couple in his wallet, and thought he could still manage having a few more.
When she asked about the pose, he couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at her. "Bathing suit?" he suggested with a tease, knowing she probably wouldn't go there, but heck, it couldn't hurt to ask. Of course, he probably wouldn't put it in his locker at work then, so her suggestions was probably better. "I would love it if you took it with one of my hats."

Wrinkling her nose, she didn't know what to think of his suggestion. Though, she did like looking at him without his shirt on, and figured it was the same idea for him, but...a picture with her like that? First it'd be embarrassing posing in that, and second, she didn't know how he'd feel about having someone take her picture in it. Than again, he really didn't get the slightest bit jealous and likely wouldn't care; unless it was Lucas taking the photograph.
"I don't think Connor would much care to take my picture like that," she finally settled on. Actually, Connor probably wouldn't care, but she wouldn't be rightly comfortable. "Besides, I'd rather take one while wearing something of yours that way it'll almost be like you're there. And you can show it off that I'm wearing some of your stuff."

"I'll take it," he answered with a cheesy grin, dancing a little where he sat. Of course, he knew that wouldn't work either. He didn't have a camera and she didn't have her suit. Plus, they only had a couple of hours together. Going back to the castle would only waste precious time with her.
Drew didn't really think Connor would mind, but had a feeling Felicity would be uncomfortable. And actually, her reasoning made sense. He always liked the idea of her wearing his stuff, making it feel more like he was hers and she was his. "And maybe my sweatshirt?" he suggested, ready to give her another one then and there if she needed it.

Biting her lip and blushing furiously, Felicity actually thought about it when he offered to take the photograph. It wouldn't be quite so embarrassing if Drew were to take it, though it would have a whole other level of embarrassment if her father knew she'd allowed the boy to take a photograph of her in something that didn't cover her from head to toe, at the same time, it'd be strange. "Maybe in June?" she suggested, hardly any trace of tease on her voice. "When it's a tad warmer and there's no bars between you and me?"
They could work it, maybe she could talk her dad into letting them go to the ocean for the weekend, with her parents along of course, but Lindsay and Cherry could go with them, and just sneakingly take a camera along for memories of the ocean itself. Then again, the ocean wasn't all that wonderful, mostly cold. But if he liked it...
"I could do that," she told him, "you should probably lend me your jeans too. Just dress me in all of your clothes." Giggling, took a bite of her dinner. Apparently he really did like her in his things. Besides it was fun to wear his sweatshirts and hats, especially when his things smelled enough like him that if she closed her eyes and let her mind wander enough, it was just like having him right there with her.

"Really?" he answered, a little surprised at her answer. They had gone swimming in the lake together a number of times so it wasn't like he had never seen her in a bathing suit, but he really didn't expect her to agree to a picture. June would be perfect too. She'd be out of school, he'd for sure have a couple of weekends off, and maybe her folks would agree to a trip to the beach. The surfing wasn't the best of the British coast, but it was definitely something he'd be willing to work with.
Or maybe... maybe now that she had met his folks, her parents would allow a trip to California? He'd get a couple of weeks off in August, but he figured he'd be spending some of that moving her into where ever she was going to live. He thought they still might have some time to hang out at his parent's place. And she could meet his grandmother, something he knew she wanted to do...
But he was getting ahead of himself, overly excited over the promise of that picture. June was still a long way away.
Drew was pretty sure she'd be okay wearing his sweatshirt, but he had to laugh when she suggested the jeans too. "You just want to see my boxers again," he teased, thinking if she really wanted his jeans, he'd oblige. He had another pair of pants at Franco's if he really needed them.

The blush deeped on her cheeks hearing the surprise in his voice. No, it wasn't something she'd normally consent to, but if he really wanted a photo of her like that, she wouldn't mind, especially if he was the one taking it. Her only concerns were whether he'd be able to hide it from his family, just what would his parents and Aunt think of her if they happened upon it at some point, when it was never meant to be for anyone's eyes but his?
"If you'd really like a photograph like that, then I don't see why not, at least not really." As long as he took care not to flash it around, which she knew he wouldn't, and made sure it was safe from prying eyes at all times, it couldn't be too bad. She knew of racier photographs a couple of her sisters had taken of them, and it wasn't like Drew to want something like that, he was the one who suggested her swimmers.
"So what if I do?" she asked innocently, raising her light eyebrows with an attempt at a tempting smile. She couldn't actually remember ever requesting to see his boxers, but she had the memory of their first meeting very well imprinted on her mind, how could she not? The meeting of a fellow student, occuring by way of embarrassing meeting of him flashing his boxers around (though even she knew he'd ripped his shorts that day accidentally), and the awkward conversation that followed. It was definitely a story to tell, but she had only shared it with three people.
