[ Full Character Name: ] Jeremy 'Jez' Callum Adams
[ Character Gender: ] Male
[ Country of Citizenship: ] United Kingdom
[ Physical Character Description: ]
The best way to describe Jeremy, is that he just looks, and is, a sweet kid. He doesn't have the confidence that makes him hott, but nor is he unattractive. He is rather good looking, actually. But it's that simple, city slick crossed with the mix of country hick that makes him settle in between. He stands at five foot ten, rather short for a basketball player, but tall or average for the fest of the male population. He wears clothes that suit his body, generally casual, but mostly label types. He hasn't really got a scene, if anything, it's the tend city type. However, at the same time, he does posses a few items, even a suit, for the formal times. Really, Jeremy looks good and comfortable in anything he wears. His body has been influenced by basketball over the years. Being tall, it's lucky he also has a fast metabolism as well. Jeremy enjoyed staying fit, it helps to add to him being comfortable with his body. Before he started training more of basketball, his friends used to comment on how skinny he was, a problem that the teenager has fixed these days. He has muscles, but not the kind of body you'd see on an extreme athlete or anything. He's naturally tan, but maintains this buy being outdoors allot of the time.
The features of his face are rather simple, like his personality. Yet, the sweet, innocent boy next door look still comes into play. The youth had braces from ages twelve to fourteen, and now he can enjoy the perks of having straight white teeth. His smile is bright and cheerful, one of the two things that makes Jeremy stand out. His eyes are the second, being a mix of sky and ocean blue. They're lush and seem to sparkle when he's in a playful mood. His hair falls around his ears, and is rather long compared to some - but not messy long, just right. It's a blend of co-count brown, caramel, and the tones in between. It's naturally straight, and Jeremy tends to flick it to one side of his forehead.
[ Personality Character Description: ]
Jeremy is typically your boy next door. He's been raised, and influenced like that his entire life. And in that, he's the type of teenager who isn't one to make a fuss - ultimately, he's the nice guy. He's the type of boy who is described as one that would help an old lady across the road, or mow his neighbor's lawn for a glass of lemonade. Cheesy, right? Of course. He's like the typical American boy who everyone knows, and mostly, likes to be around. He's caring, loyal, and has his wits about him. Jeremy makes friends easy, and isn't judgmental of other people's sexual orientation, looks, or first impressions. He's very trustworthy too, and people often turn to him for advice or a sholder to cry on. In fact, he's rather simple like that. Everything is rather straight forward, and goes without much drama and hassle when it comes to Jeremy Adams.
But at the same time, it doesn't mean he's all nice with no spice. Jeremy doesn't speak his mind all the time, and holds back from venting about something, but it still thinks such thoughts, and on rare occasions, will let some of these emotions leak. In actual fact, he's scared of being judged by others. He loves being loved, and thats the soul reason why he doesn't get on people's bad side. He's a sell out, lets give him that. If someone gets on Jeremy's nerves, he's just one to walk away, as opposed to standing up for himself. He holds back from speaking his mind, in fear that what he says will aggravate or upset the person. He hates drama with friends, because it makes Jeremy feel vulnerable, like he has no one to turn to or such. In all honesty, if others knew that the teenager had allot more to say than he goes through with, he would be described as a fake. But, as we stated before, Jeremy is merely the simple boy next door. Only interested in pleasing his peers, enjoying his life, and not making waves.
Aside from his general personality, Jeremy has your average boyish interests. He's enjoyed basket ball from an early age, his father being an enthusiast as well. The boy played little league baseball, and other team sports and such. However, running and athletics wasn't his strongest points, as, you guessed it, basketball was his favorite, and therefore his best talent. Now, before we get ahead of ourselves and think "wait, there'll be a twist, he loves to sing too!" thats incorrect. Jeremy only ever sings in the shower, and he can't hold a note to save his life. However, he is interested in other art forms like photography, but thats about it. And in that, it's only ever been the muggle aspect of the art.
[ History: ]
This story doesn't start off with the birth of Jeremy Adams, it starts with two girls that grew up together, at Hogwarts School Of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Maria Wright and Barbara Czamara. Though Maria had the heart of a Gryffindor, and Barbara the brains of a Ravenclaw, when they first met on orientation day, the two knew they would be something grand. And so they were. Growing up along side one another at Hogwarts, the girls were often mistaken for sisters. They shared tears, laughter, anger, and fear, as well as everything in between. And not only did their friendship last the entire time at the Wizardry school, but after wards as well. As Barbara went on to own her own bakery, and Maria her own Florist. And as friends out side of school, they shared experiences.
Barbara was there when Maria met her future husband, Callum Adams, a muggle lawyer. After Callum and Maria had dated for a couple of years, they decided to tie the knot. It was a small, quaint wedding with few guests, but it was about the quantity of their love - not the quality of the venue in this case. A few months down the tracks Toby James Adams was born, the eldest of the couples children to be. He was a sweet kid, but in that, hard to keep an eye on, due to his playful nature. Four years down the track, on the worlds most known day of love, Valentines day, Jeremy was born. His childhood was a mix between being the focus of his parents, while being juggled with attention-seeking habits of his older brother.
Anyway, by this stage, Barbara had also found her own spouse, had one daughter, and was now Barbara Webster. Originally, it was Tianne Webster-Barrett and Toby Adams that were close friends. They seemed to mix better than Jeremy and Tianne did, as he was a shyer, and more reserved child, even at his tenderly young age. When the boy was two, the last of the Adams' children was born, Isabelle, whom grew up to be daddy's little girl. Anyway, by the time Toby was sent to school, Tianne and Jeremy knew each other, but weren't all that close. However, with the absence of his older brother, the girl and the boy obviously grew close. He was sweet, and her the same. They spent many days together, and even when they went to school, another friendship within the Webster and Adams families had been born.
Growing up with Tianne was much like you could assume. They told each other everything, from which teachers butt was too big, to what they had for lunch that day. Heck, they even had a pretend marriage once, simply because they were that close that they never wanted to stop being friends. Tianne was obviously the more confident and courageous one of the two, and Jeremy didn't mind it. He was an innocent little boy, with blue eyes to boot. They had a rather normal up-bringing, and all was great and dandy until they got to age eleven. Tianne was sent to Hogwarts, like her mother had been, but it wasn't the same for Jeremy - he was set to be sent to Durmstrang. He didn't understand why his parents did it, but it was merely something irreversible. Or so he thought, until his sixth year of schooling came around.
At Durmstrang, it took Jeremy a long time to adapt. At first he found it hard to make friends, due to his withdrawn behavior around large groups of people. Allot of the other boys already knew one another from outside of school - something that would have been like Tianne and himself if they had have been sent to the same school. By the end of his first year there, Jeremy had a handful of friends, but they weren't like his ones at home. It took him another year of being unknown for the boy to realize that he had to get over his fear of being judged. He made more of an effort to meet new people, but one on one - he still hated big crowds. And it was at Durmstrang that he developed into a slightly more grown up sweet kid. He could hold his own well enough, and didn't have a rather dramatic life as a teenager. He dated a total of two girls, and earned more friends as he got to an older stage in his schooling. It was very average though, no broken bones, no near death experiences, no near expulsions. With his older brother at the school, as well as his little sister too, the Adams were known for their down to earth and approachable nature. However, Jeremy eventually burnt out the wick he had been holding onto for a long time now.
For five years the youth had spent his time among the likes of Durmstrang, and he learned to live with that. Seeing Tianne and all his other muggle and / or magical friends in the holidays kept him going, but it wasn't enough by this stage. It took allot of promising and begging, but Jeremy finally convinced him parents to let him have a transfer to Hogwarts. He knew it was important if he was to stay close to his childhood friend, and his parents seemed to recognize this. That, and well, he had had a bit of a crush on the girl since he was eight. And now? Here he is at Hogwarts, open and vulnerable to a new school, and a new set of eyes to please.
[ Pros and Cons: ]
Jeremy is utterly awful at public speaking, or the likes of such. He hates being out on a limb in front of a large group of people, even in front of a class of peers he knows. Basketball isn't much of a problem, because he's along side other players and such, but otherwise? He's a nervous wreck. The teenager can be a bit of a sell-out, too. Not so much when it comes to his friends and opinions, or people he knows, but more so when an uncommon or unfamiliar person asks for his opinion. more often than not, he'll just agree with what they've said, as so not to make a controversy out of it. He's horrible at the practical side of magic. Potions, Astronomy, Divination and the likes of such. He's not utterly dreadful, hey, he makes passing grades well enough, but Jeremy really struggles to achieve better than just average in these areas. He's much better at theory.
Jeremy is a wonderful friend. It's probably one of the key factors to his personality. He wouldn't dare double cross a friend, bitch behind their back, or even insult them to their face. He believes that loyalty to his friends and family, as well as trust in the same terms, are very important traits in life. He's also an adorably nice guy. The type that would bring you chicken noodle soup when you're sick, or the kind that would call you just past midnight on your birthday if you wanted someone to. He's likes making friends, but if never one to break the ice. Jeremy isn't a typical flirt either. He is sweet as sugar though, we'll give him that. Finally, he's a kid with common sense and smarts. He doesn't think jumping off a bridge with a blind-fold on at night in the nude is a good or fun idea. He's not coy or overly shy, but he just doesn't think getting smashed, or showing off for that matter is all there is when it comes to getting people to like or know him.
[ Role Playing Example: ]
Jeremy could hardly contain his excitement. His hands trembled, as they continued to rush, whilst the teenager packed away the remainder of his gear into his school trunk. For what seemed like the fiftieth time this hour, a grin split onto his face, while the boy crossed the room, picking up a pair of Hogwarts robes, and lying them down flat on top of everything else in his suitcase. This was finally happening, he was finally going. The trip that followed from home, to Hogwarts, was both the longest and shortest he had ever experienced. Jeremy knew that his eagerness to see Tianne Webster-Barrett was the only thing that held off his nerves of starting at a new school. There was going to be new teachers, new students, new rules, and new lessons to be learned. But there was also Tianne seemed to make it all the worth while.
And yet? The girl still had no idea he was coming.
The Adams boy had kept his transfer to himself, for the pure reason of surprise. Generally the teenager wasn't too smooth when it came to surprising people, he seemed to always trip or make a noise when it was a physical aspect, or say the wrong sort of thing when it wasn't so much of that. But this? This was defiantly worth the wait, to see her reaction. But at that same time, he couldn't help but consider what her possible reactions might just be. Would she be shocked? Surely, for Jeremy starting at her school without a word before hand wasn't something she would've been expecting, right? And after the shock... how would she manage? Would Tee be angry at him, for not saying anything before hand? Or happy that he was actually there, at her school, instead of all the way at Durmstrang. He really was undecided, and was forcing his mind to wait to see her reaction, rather than assume it.
Jez was restless for the entire trip there. He knew he shouldn't get his hopes up about the fact that now that he was hanging around Tianne, the fact that he had a crush on her might seem more hopeful. She was amazing, and gorgeous, so why on earth wouldn't she have a boyfriend? Even so, fate had been good to him so far, when getting the transfer, so whose to say his luck couldn't be spinning in the right direction after all? Again, Jeremy shoved such thoughts to the back of his mind, and though he ignored them for now, the boy knew they would continue to bob up to the surface of his thinking - wondering, hoping, that there would be some chance of him being physically closer to her. This was his new chance. A chance to make new friends, and deal with being put in a strange and unfamiliar situation. This really was growing up.
would it be okay if i took your breathe away?
