Another potion that was both difficult and dangerous, but one Desideria felt confident in teaching to her Seventh years. While she didn't know them, nor they she, she was more than confident in the professor before her in teaching the students the ways of potion brewing. Anyone who could call themselves a potions professor or master had to have the art of potion making down to a t. While the potion was above the ability of the average Seventh year because of the difficulty in getting it exactly right, she was willing to bet any one of the Hogwarts Seventh years would have no difficulties in brewing the potion as it was meant to be.
In her own time she could remember Slughorn actually giving out a little vial of Felix Felicis now and again to star pupil in class, she herself on more than one occasion had received the treat. Of course, like many other potions, it was to be used only under extreme circumstances, and it was to be brewed carefully. Just as with many other potions, one little mistake could spell disaster for a potion brewer. This potion had to be treated with perfection in order to brew it correctly, and it was indeed one difficult potion to master. Many who called themselves masters could not even get this particular potion right.
Tables were set for three to four students per each, no more and no less. Extra ingredients were set aside on the counter designated by the new professor, next to the sink where one would be able to wash their hands in preparation or afterwards. Desideria was seated at her desk, talking to a Flutterby Bush. It was an interesting plant, one she'd just received and would be using later in the year for another class lesson. It would be of help for those who didn't have enough ingredients.
Behind the plump woman, written on the blackboard was: Seventh Years Felix Felicis D. Tapia

Drew entered the classroom with a surprising spring in his step. Many in the school were sick, but he wasn't and the people he cared about the most didn't seem to have the pox all that bad. It was a year, an anniversary of sorts, of the Deva invasion and while he had endured a number of sleepless nights this month already, he had slept soundly and peacefully the night before.
He smiled at the woman behind the desk, noting the writing on the board behind her. "Hello, Professor Tapia... Felix Felicis? Awesome!" Maybe it would come in handy getting his applications in order. He was a little concerned his recent difficulties with Griffiths would hurt him.

He entered the classroom with no facial expression. He saw the professor and Drew there. He walked past the professor and smiled at her. "Good day, professor," he greeted her as he walked past Drew. He then stopped and had his back turned to Drew.
"There is no hate, only joy, for you are beloved by the goddess, hero of the dawn, healer of worlds" he said to him. He then stood there for a moment.

A second student entered the room and Drew grinned broadly at seeing that it was Tristan. The Griffindor could be awfully quirky, but Drew could always count on the guy to lighten the mood in any room.
Things seemed different this time around though as the Lion walked past and then spoke cryptically. Drew wasn't sure who Tristan was talking about, or even who he was talking to, but the Ravenclaw was slightly concerned by the other guy's behavior.
"Hey, dude. You okay?" Drew asked him, thinking Tristan might be in some sort of weird trance. Was this some rare symptom of Dragon Pox? He didnt' think so, but looked towards the professor to see if she had an answer.

He smiled and turned around. "Yeah, dude," he said laughing. "Just messing with ya," he said grinning hitting him on the back slightly. He really didn't feel like getting other people supicious of what he was doing. He then went to take his seat and propped open a book, The Little Red Book, and started to read. He then turned a few pages to get back to where he left off. Waiting for class to start, he made sure that he had a bookmark to put it in when the class did start.

"Okay, man," Drew answered, still feeling a sense of unease about the Gryffindor's odd behavior. The smile and the friendly slap on the shoulder was more like the regular Tristan, but that strange cloud that had passed over the other boy had been disconcerting. Drew had heard about Seers going into trances and he imagined that it was something like what he had just witnessed with Tristan.
Still concerned, he decided not to say anything more about it, but he was still going to keep an eye open and an ear to the ground. He already had one friend who had been possessed. He certainly didn't want to see a second go through it.

Caleb wasn't exactly excited about this class, but he wasn't really dreading it either. It was just class, just another thing for him to do and get through and he didn't really mind. When he entered the room, Caleb saw his friend Drew in there already and Tristan who had just become familiar, being in all his classes. Caleb looked at the board, nodding his head. It was a cool potion, which meant this would probably be a pretty exciting class.
Crossing the room, Caleb took a seat next to Drew and nudged the boy softly. "Hey mate, what's up?" he greeted his Ravenclaw friend.

Drew was organizing his supplies and looking the potion up in his book so he could follow along. He was still a little unnerved by Tristan's strange behavior, but the arrival of another took his attention for the time being. The Ravenclaw would talk to Caleb, but wasn't about to forget Tristan's odd activity.
"Hey man. Not much," Drew answered the Huffle as he took a seat next to him. He nodded towards the board and smiled. "We've got a good potion brewing today."

Sneaking in, Layla walked in with her head down, but got to her spot near Drew by memory. She was looking down at her hand, which was asleep. She had taken a nap, but landed on her bed with her left hand, her wand hand, under her belly. When she woke up, her hand was numb and tingly and stayed that way still after descending into the dungeons. "Ow," she mumbled to herself. She shook her hand again and looked up, seeing Drew and Caleb as they greeted each other. "Hey guys," she joined, glancing at the board. The day before when Layla had been helping the Professor sort out a few things, she'd been told that their next lesson was going to be interesting. But even then Layla perked an eyebrow in interest.

And here it was, yet another class. Today had potential, however, to be rather exciting. When Lucas saw what was on tap for the day, a smile graced his usually moody broody features. The Felix Felicis potion was one that Lucas had read about many times, but he'd never attempted to brew it. From what he read, it was a fair difficult potion to perfect, but he hoped he'd do alright.
Coming into the class, Lucas spotted Caleb across the way seated with Drew and Tristan Howard. Taking a chance, Lucas crossed the room and sat on the other side of Caleb. Things with Lucas and Drew were still a little uneasy, but he hoped from the time they'd spent building in their dorm a while ago, things might be a little less awkward.
