The dampness of the dungeons that afternoon was taking it's toll on the woman as she tried a combination of potions to clear away her headache, splashed her face with cold water, and forgot to reapply her lotion that covered her pockmarks from when she had dragon pox so many years ago. Bent over her desk, Desideria held her face in her hands, trying to quiet the pounding in her head. Why wouldn't it just work?
At least her seventh years didn't require too much direction, she could keep her mouth shut for most of the class, knowing her students would be able to follow directions closely enough. What she thought of was she should create a potion that took care of headaches as soon as the brew touched ones lips. That would be her next experiment.
On the board was written:
Seventh Years Oblivious Unction D. Tapia

With his backpack slung over one shoulder, Drew sauntered into the dungeon classroom, knowing he was a alittle early, but not really caring. He liked this particular class, even if the professor didn't care much for him. At least she wasn't rude to her students like certain other professors.
He found his seat and started taking his things out for class, glancing at the board and smirking slightly. "Uh... so how do we do that again?" he asked, wondering only after he said it if the professor would appreciate the joke.

Having some magical Heavy Metal music stuck in his head, he came towards the classroom "strumming" the back of his potions book acting as if it were a guitar. Man, he just heard some of the coolest Heavy Metal from Wizardry history. Some band called the Rapid Wizards or something. It was 'hyphie' and all good. Coming to the class, he "strummed" the book so more, and sat down at his seat still doing the same thing.
He started to inhale the screaming of the music. The song "Snitch" was stuck in his head right now.

Seanna's schedule was really working well for her. Before, she was running late to almost everything, but with the new schedule up and running, she was finding her school days to be a lot more organized then they were beforehand. In between classes, Seanna would stop, pull it out and see a nice brightly colored square telling her what class to go to next. Really, the Huffle had never been this organized before and Seanna was beginning to see the benefits from having made one.
Noting that Potions class was next on her things to do, Seanna put her schedule back in her bag and found her way to the dungeons. Potions was always one of her favorite classes, even more so now that the Professor was her HoH. Entering into the classroom, Seanna gave her HoH a smile, before making her way over towards where Drew was sitting and she plopped herself down in the seat, giving Drew a smile and saying a hello at the same time.
Placing her bag on the desk, but not taking anything out just yet, her eyes wandered over to where the Professor was and then again, to behind where the board hanged. Eyes widening, plus a eyebrow raising, Seanna noted that it was another Unction potion, but an oblivious one. Though, the fact that it was an oblivious unction potion sounded okay to Seanna, only because of the oblivious part, it sounded like a potion she could use for further studying.

Rolling up her sleeves a bit and grabbing the hairtie from her wrist, Layla picked up her hair in a quick, yet still neat, ponytail as she walked into the Potions classroom. It was something she'd started doing every time she came in for her N.E.W.T.S class, or for the younger classes, and even if she just needed to do some minor task. She felt like it got her into the right mindset for whatever she was about to do... plus it got really warm and gross under the heat of a boiling cauldron.
She took her seat near Drew, grinning and shaking her head at his question. "Just throw some stuff into the cauldron and do a little jig," she retorted. "It'll work like a charm... or hex.. whichever you prefer." She began to take out her own supplies placing in some order on her bench that she wasn't quite sure of, but seemed to make sense. She'd been able to work entirely alone for the last few lesson (it had taken a few more joint lessons with Drew), and she was mostly doing better. There were still many moments where she'd catch herself pausing and looking at one of her classmates or the Professor. It took her an extra second to realize she was doing fine. Every time she walked into this class, she hoped she showed the progress the Potions Mistress was looking for.

"For real?" Charlie asked sincerely to Layla as she came in, holding onto a book that was immaculate in its appearance, and obvious sign of how little she used it. She had been negligent of the textbook, and barely paid attention. She couldn't tell why, but she couldn't keep her focus on this class specifically, and that made her one of the less successful classmates in this class. Everything turned black, brown, and blue and any color but the one that was always demanded of during each lesson. She knew to ground herself in her studies, but it was a little hard to resist what Muggles call senioritis....

"I was going for the whole "Oblivious" thing, but I think I can handle that," Drew answered Layla, doing a small bit of grooving in his seat in lieu of the suggested jig.
"But Charms is Snow's class. This is Potions... Pohhhhh.... shhuuuuuns...." he said slowly, his wide grin giving away the fact that he was teasing. "And by the way, I seriously doubt that Professor Tapia wants to be mistaken for a dude."

The noise of incoming students wasn't doing well for her head. Hearing a question, but not answering, the pounding on something hard (not recognizing it as fingers drumming along to the tune of a band she had heard that summer), another voice she recognized and one she had to remember to compliment on her performances lately as they were much better, yet again another voice, and the one that asked the question replying again. Why did students have to be so loud? Or was it just all in her mind? Perhaps it was.
Pulling her hands down from her face, revealing more of the spotted skin from her dangerous encounter with dragon pox when she was much too young, Desideria gave a glazed look to her students. They were talking about her lesson, weren't they? She was almost certain they were.
"Good afternoon," she called out to those who were in the room, not quite ready to start the lesson. Just a few more minutes and she'd be up to her usual standards. "Right you are Mr. Thornton, this is potions." Had she missed out on too much of the conversation? She was sure, but thought she heard him say someone was calling her a man, it wasn't bothersome, maybe she'd just missed something.

"You have snow in Charms class?" The Huffle asked and blinked at Drew in surprise. Seanna was kind of glad that she didn't get into the Newt's class for Charms if they had snow in there, she wouldn't survive at all and most likely end up with a cold in the end. Seanna preferred the sanctuary of the library and also that of the huffle common room. Truth be told, she never really ended up studying charms that much anyhow, distraction always got the better of her.
Seanna was about to argue that Potions could be like Charms if they had the right potion. Fair enough, Charms required wand work, but certain potions could work like a charm if used in the correct manner. Though, the Huffle shut up when her HoH started to speak and gave them a good afternoon. Giving a smile to Tapia, Seanna started to take her supplies out of her bag, in order to get ready for start of class. Out of all her classes, Potions was really the only one that held her interest.

Caleb had been in hiding for the last little while. There had been a lot going on with his mum and things hadn't exactly been the best. He'd even been off school grounds to visit her in hospital. That was probably against school rules, but he couldn't just be here and not go see her. She was still his mum, even if she had no idea who he was.
Coming into the classroom, Caleb looked around to see who was there. He spotted Layla and Drew sitting together and he flashed a smile at his Ravenclaw mates. He took a seat near the rest of the group. "Hey guys," he greeted the others.

Lucas had nearly given up on school entirely. He had been so down lately and he couldn't even explain why. All motivation had escaped him completely and all he wanted to do was sleep. It was a struggle to haul himself out of bed and get his scrawny self to classes. And here he was again, having trouble trying to keep his eyes open as he walked. How anybody that wasn't narcoleptic could fall asleep while walking was a mystery, but Lucas was almost achieving it. As he walked into the classroom, he went straight to the back, not bothering to look at anyone as he sat down.

Seeing a few other students join the class, and hearing the toll of the bell, Desideria's head pounded more loudly than ever. Hopefully the pain would cease soon enough, or maybe she'd just have to have Layla take over this class and teach it herself. The girl was doing quite well she was pleased to say, but Desideria at the moment wasn't doing so much.
"Good afternoon, good afternoon," she started, hoping that maybe by playing it off that things were well and dandy she could make herself believe so. "Today we will be learning another Unctuous potion, the Oblivious Unction. Now, can anyone tell me what this potion is?" As always, points would be awarded to those who knew the answer, and partials to those who gave a good guess. It was only fair that she did so for all her students. What kind of a professor would she be if she didn't give points for effort?
One thing she really enjoyed about her Seventh Years were most were self-sufficient and she wasn't required to keep the best of all eyes on the majority of them. It was a good thing her headache was working on her during this lesson and not any others.
Class has officially begun, you may post as already being in attendance or as coming in tardy, however consequences always await

Drew noticed a few more straggle in before class started, looking like they could probably stand to skip the lesson and take a long nap instead. Drew, on the other hand, was feeling quite well.
"The Oblivious Unction," Drew started, raising his hand though he wasn't exactly sure how to explain it. He knew what the potion did, but could he say it right? "It helps someone who's dealing with trauma. "Really bad thoughts leave scars and it helps cure them. Part of it is I think it helps them forget what happened temporarily until they're able to handle it better."
