Giving Finn one last suspicious glance as he popped the chocolate into his mouth, Keagan dropped her gaze and shook her head; one minute he was stiff as a bored and red as a pepper, the next he was making jokes. What was she to make of this?
"You better be joking," Keagan replied to the wink, followed immaturely by Keag sticking out her tongue at him.
"Alrighty then. Onward!" she exclaimed, nudging Finn forward with a gentle shove against his back.

One thing Keagan could have made from it was that Finn had only resorted back to his defense mechanism; humour. He always tried to make a joke or make people laugh when the situation was uneasy, as it was at that moment. Finn hoped it had worked and that Keagan didn't think that the reason he froze was because he didn't want her to touch him. It was the polar opposite. He hadn't minded the hug, he was just nervous because Keagan had no idea and he couldn't let it slip.
"Of course I'm joking!" he told Keagan, but then mutter 'not' to the elves. He smiled sweetly Keagan before cracking up again. He couldn't keep a straight face if his life depended on it. "No need to get pushy" he joked as Keagan nudged him and he nudged her back, "Should you be in the lead, Prefect?" Finn grinned again, chuckling slightly. Just keep joking around and everything will be fine, he told himself. He hoped it would.

The uneasiness of moments before quickly forgotten, Keag laughed right along with Finn...while glaring at him in a playful manner. "I don't think you're like the consequences if you weren't joking, Mr. Kendrick," she replied with her own sickly sweet smile.
"Who's being pushy?" Keagan inquired, nudging him forward again. "If I were in the lead, it would be way too easy for you to escape. This way I can keep ya where I want ya."

Finn narrowed his eyes menacingly, but once again, cracked up. He began walking toward the door of the kitchens, muttering to himself. "Fine," he said finally, calling over his shoulder, "Be that way, you big bully." The Ravenclaw snickered to himself as continued to trudge out of the kitchen and stood out in the hallway, waiting for Keagan to join him.
Just relax, you little ninny, Finn told himself, bouncing on the balls of his feet slightly. The butterflies suddenly came rushing back and it nearly caused Finn to double-over. He felt light-headed and dizzy, but disappeared as quickly as it had come. Shaking his head slightly, Finn tried to rid it of those thoughts.

Keagan giggled lightly. "Me? A bully? Never!" she exclaimed, shaking her head in bemusement as she stalked behind the boy.
After lightly reprimanding the house elves for catering to a delinquent, Keagan followed Finn out the door only to find him swaying slightly and looking a bit ill again. She didn't comment on it, but she didn't push him along either, looking at him with an expression of concern once again.

Finn rocked back and forth in his own little trance for a while until he noticed that Keagan was there again and he snapped out of it quickly, trying to find his voice. He saw the look on Keagan's face and knew she must think he was a total wacko now. "S-sorry," he mumbled, putting his hands in his pockets again, "I was just uhh..thinking." He flashed her a smile to show everything was OK now and he started to walk.
"So will you be accompanying me all the way to the Common Room entrance?" he asked Keagan. He assumed that because she was a prefect, she might have already known where it was. If not, she'd know now.

But Finn was wrong; Keagan merely thought Finn incredibly ill. The swaying really didn't help at all.
She laughed lightly. "No need to apologize. I just hope you're feeling alright."
"All the way? Perhaps. I shall accompany you as far as I deem is necessary to ensure your safe arrival at your not-quite-humble abode," she replied with a nod and a toothy grin.

Feeling alright? Oh if only she knew the truth. Sighing, Finn couldn't help but smile again as Keagan flashed him a grin. He wanted her to go all the way up to the Common Room with him. "I'd prefer if the trek up wasn't a lonely one," Finn muttered quietly as they walked, shuffling his feet slightly. He glanced sideways at Keagan, hoping she'd agree to come with him. If not, he'd just have to walk back alone.

Catching a bit of movement in her peripheral vision, Keagan glanced sideways at Finn, as well, noting the shuffle of his feet and what she thought was a sideways glance in her direction.
Pondering a moment, she folded her hands behind her and glanced at him again. "Might you take off if i leave you to your own devices?"

Trying very hard to keep it in, a chuckle was pushing to escape Finn's lips. The corner of his mouth twitched slightly as he tried to keep the grin off his face, but it wasn't working very well. Sighing, he decided he might as well tell the truth. Would he take off? Probably. "Not only will I take off, I'll be following close behind you to find out where your Common Room is so one day I can eventually break in and redecorate," Finn replied, stretching the truth a little. Although, that actually wasn't a bad idea...
Nudging her again playfully, Finn let the chuckled escape finally. "You learn quickly that it's not best to leave me to my own devices," Finn told her with a lopsided grin and a wink. Honestly, he wouldn't go anywhere except back to the Common Room, but if he told Keagan otherwise, she would have just left him and he really wanted to walk with her.

Lucky for Finn, Keagan completely missed the grin until she turned to look at him with shock in her eyes that he would even suggest such a thing. She discovered quickly once she looked at him that he was joking, though...at least slightly. In response to his nudge, she punched him lightly in the shoulder. "You..." she accused with a glare, sticking her tongue out again.
Shaking her head, she moved on. "Even a slow learner like me?" Keag asked with a grin of her own. He was probably right in thinking that, if he had told her he'd be good, then she would have left, but Keagan had reckoned that he wouldn't tell her that.

"Oww!" Finn half-chuckled, half-complained. He rubbed his arm, pretending that it hurt and he gave her another evil, yet joking, glare. "See? I told you, you're a big bully!" he said to her, sticking his tongue out as she had already done a few times.
"Well, I doubt you're a slow learner, but once you wake up to a redecorated room, you'll learn quickly," Finn replied with another grin, this time a little broader than before. He was actually quite proud of himself for thinking that one up. If he wasn't such a chicken, he might have actually tried it.

"If it was my room at home, it might be appreciated. But here...I'm not sure the administration or my roommates would appreciate it much."
Keagan pouted slightly at being called a bully again. Then, an evil thought occured to her.
With big, puppy dog eyes, Keagan turned on Finn. "Do you really think I'm a big bully?" she asked, her bottom lip quivering in the pout.

Seeing the puppy dog eyes, Finn wasn't fooled. He figured she was kidding, so he went along with it, changing his tone to a mock-concerned voice. "Aw, muffin," he said to her, pounting slightly as well, "Of course you're not a big bully!" Unconsciously, Finn wrapped an arm around her shoulders and pulled her in as they walked. He rested his head on hers for a moment and sighed.
"You're not as big a bully as I am," he assured her with a grin, and then realized what he was doing. If he let go quickly, it might make Keagan think what he didn't want her to before; that he didn't want her to be touching him. However, he tried to play it cool, and let go of her slowly, and as naturally as he could. "Feel better now?" he teased.

Keagan giggled at being called "Muffin," but was incredibly surprised by how Finn wrapped his arm around her. The gesture wasn't completely unwelcome, but it caught her off guard...especially after the way he had reacted to her hug.
Trying to not ask questions, Keagan kind of just went with it for a while. "You're not a bully," she replied, swatting at him playfully. "Better? Sure," she stated, sticking her tongue out again.
