January 10th, couple of days before the feast, 10am in the morning. Thread takes place before the lockdown.
A couple of days before the feast and the return to classes and whatnot, Seanna had been organizing an interview for her paper article, which she had been really badly neglecting of late and so she had decided to interview the Slytherin Prefect, Charlotte Jones, whom she still didn't know that much about but thought doing the Paper article she could learn more about her.
Thinking that the dungeons would the most neutral place for the both of them to start the interview, Seanna was waiting in the corridor of the dungeons for Charlotte. The sixth year had a backpack for the interview that contained her clipboard, a roll of parchment and a couple of quills and ink bottles. Seanna figured that doing the interview before the school term actually started, would be the best idea, so she could focus more on her studies... and quidditch training. Studying wasn't really the fondest of pastimes for the Huffle prefect.
Seanna hoped that Charlotte had gotten her owl and yes, she was still expecting Charlotte, the one she had talked to on the train and saw in classes, not the one she had known before the train, though Seanna had heard rumors about Charlie being possessed and the sixth year had cast them off as just that, rumors. It was that motivation to interview the Slytherin prefect to see if the rumors where actually true or not.

Charlie had woken up that morning with a bad feeling in her stomach. It had to have been Seanna's owl, because the plain mention of anything Charlotte or Amber brought anything but great memories in her mind. She had since recovered the tolls on her body and was still in the process, but at least she was back to her own level of magic. However, there was still that mental strain that came with the memories, the origin of her unbecoming fear, loathing, and paranoia.
However, she put that aside as best as she could, and decided on going to this interview for the Hufflepuff. Charlie had never quite gotten to know the girl, but she could only imagine what kind of impression she might have had on her because of the spirit that had came into her body not six months ago. It kept her on edge, knowing that she already had damages in the form of her relationship with her friends and now her family. She couldn't bear to know what Chris thought of her after she had told him her side. He was incredulous, but he was at least somewhat comforting. It was just better to look to the future and not let it get to her.
Charlie didn't bother to respond as it would be in a short time in which she was out in the dungeons just outside of her Slytherin house, and getting ready for what Seanna had to ask her. Except she couldn't possibly know what she wanted to ask. The qudditch captain knew how to preach and shout, but not really know how present herself in anything more flattering. It would be easy to tell that she didn't really care, either.
Finally as she got out with her thick grey tattered wizard band sweatshirt and jeans and thankful she didn't have to wear the uniform for just a few more days, she headed out in the corridor. No sooner had she left her respective territory, she spotted Seanna. "Hey," she huffed out gruffly. She wasn't sure how to tell the girl who obviously hadn't heeded the rumors that began floating by.

"Hey!" Seanna smiled warmly at Charlotte and frowned. Instantly, she knew something was wrong, or she knew something was not right. The Charlotte she had talked with last term wore dresses and skirts, but this Charlotte, reminded her more of the Charlie she knew before Charlotte, the one she hadn't known as much as the other one. Shaking her head, Seanna blinked in confusion. Had she missed something?
"Charlotte" Seanna started slowly, still blinking, but trying to take in the other girl's appearance and figuring she must've missed something. This wasn't Charlotte, this was... "Charlie?" The Huffle sixth year finally asked and concluded. While the interview had been to see where 'Charlotte' hanged out, Seanna was thinking maybe she could get an interview to find out exactly what had happened.
"You're Charlie" Seanna repeated again, brown eyes more confused than ever. This was the Charlotte or rather, the Charlie she didn't know. The one where if it wasn't for her name and the fact they had classes together, Seanna probably wouldn't know her at all. "But how?" The sixth year finished up, wondering just how exactly the girl she knew before break was Charlotte and the one she knew after break was now Charlie.

Charlie sighed. She didn't want to think that there was at least one person that Amber made a good impression on. Sure, when she did give someone a hard time, it usually landed on Charlie, but at least Charlie knew that it meant that this evil spirit had no good side, whatever it was. But Seanna looked genuinely pleased to meet her again... until she found out the truth through just one look.
"Always was, always will," Charlie told the girl. She was feeling rather annoyed by the girl's disapointment and just tried to keep going. "S'all you need to know," she answer to how exactly it came to be.
"Look, you wanna start this interview or not? 'Cause I can just leave or whatever," she said solemnly. It just bothered her that Amber had to have been somewhat pleasing to someone. It was as if she was winning this battle after the war.

Had she said the wrong thing? Most likely. Seanna was always saying the wrong thing. "No!" Seanna exclaimed, her brown eyes widening in even more confusion. "I mean, I didn't mean it like that, it's just... I was just expecting someone else" Oh boy, she was on a roll today. That probably wasn't the right thing to say either, to Seanna, Charlie looked genuinely sad that she had even bought up the topic of Charlotte.
"I mean, I don't want you to leave" Seanna started again, letting out a confused sigh and trying to get her thoughts together. "I mean, yeah, I want the interview to start, but if you don't, I guess I could always find someone else" Seanna finished off, shrugging her shoulder's and thinking her last statement was anything but true. Who wanted her to follow them around for the day?
"I'm just confused, that's all. Trust me, it's nothing new me getting confused. I just... when we talked on the train that time... " Seanna trailed off, feeling like she digging herself a hole she was never going to get out off. How could she start an interview expecting someone totally different to the someone standing before her? and getting no explanation to boot, she needed something to know why that other person was gone.
"You can't tell me why? or how?" Seanna tried again. "It'll be off the record, if you like" The sixth year added, her brown eyes never leaving Charlie and Seanna was finally understanding why Charlie and her never really got along. Or so she thought she understood.

Charlie heard the girl out before she had decided to step back and leave. So there had to have been some sort of impression on her, and very early on. Charlie knew the girl, Seanna, although not enough to speculate just what kind of person would want to befriend such a manipulating wreck of a person. She didn't want to place judgement on her yet, seeing as she did seem to be wrapped up in confusion. It was hard to work with some things when rumors around Hogwarts did sometimes have some factual information.
She had rested uplifted foot as she decided to continue the interview, but it seemed to come with a bad start. "Uh... don't think so, dude," she refused to really give up the embarassing information unless it actually had benefits for her. Even if it was off the record, she just wasn't about to blab off like a wretched victim of the Dark Arts. She could only offer Seanna very little. "All you need to know... things were a bit outta place in my life." The Slytherin girl crossed her arms, and kept her stance rather guarded and still.

Seanna let out a huge sigh of frustration. It was like talking to a brick wall and the fact of the matter was, if she wasn't going to get told nothing, then she couldn't do the interview to the full capacity. Fair enough, she could probably still do the interview, but she was going to spend the whole time confused because she was probably going to expect different answers.
Oh, she understood though. It wasn't like she didn't. Seanna was a stranger to this Charlie, after all. The person on the train was a lot different to the person standing before her. "Okay, you don't have to tell me anything. It's just going to be weird, that's all" Seanna shrugged and wrinkled her nose in another sign of confusion. Weird probably was the wrong thing to say again, then again, one would think that this certain Hufflepuff would be used to anything of the weird kind.
"You know, that girl... " Seanna started to say, then decided to change her wording on that too, because she didn't know exactly what it was that had spoken to her on the train, anymore. 'Or, well, that something, girl, she said some interesting stuff" The sixth year said quietly. It was a fact, that other person had said some interesting things and Seanna felt she owed it somehow to Charlie to tell her what that something was that had been said.
"That person... or thing, or whatever, she helped me make a new potion as well" Seanna finished off, her eyes narrowing down and looking at the floor of the dungeon corridor. It wasn't something she was proud off, but she still had some of the potion stored in vials in the seventh year girl's dorm in Hufflepuff. The potions were only going to be used for emergencies, though.

Charlie seemed to gain renewed interest in the topic that Seanna offered up. Her ears perked up at the "interesting things" and the "new potion". What exactly happened with Amber and Seanna? "What did she say to you?" she practically demanded. "What did you guys brew?" It just came at her own haste to uncover all and everything about Amber. The ghost was still somewhere, and Charlie wasn't entirely satisfied until she was completely gone.
Her palms got sweaty in anticipation of what Seanna said and would say. It was as if she had deep desires to plan some sort of revenge scheme on a spirit with no whereabouts, but she knew better than to not really do anything except put her guard up.

While Seanna felt like she owed it to Charlie what that other person had said and what she had shown her, she wasn't going to exactly tell her what happened if Charlie wasn't going to give her something in return. 'Sides, she didn't exactly want to tell Charlie the full extent of the potion they made, especially if she needed to use it again in the future.
And 'Sides again, the demanding tone Charlie was giving her was somewhat putting her back up, too. "She said that she wanted to turn over a new leaf, that she wanted to change and not everyone stayed the same" Seanna shrugged, her confused brown eyes following the pattern of the corridor. Wasn't she the one that was supposed to be interviewing Charlie and not the other way around? Seanna wrapped a single lock of blond hair around her finger and started to play with it out of nervous habit.
"The potion... " Seanna began, not really sure what to say at this point, but not wanting to give away what potion she really brewed, but still feeling like she owed Charlie, but not when she practically demanded her to tell her. "It was a potion" Seanna ended up saying. The sixth year was now more confused than ever and feeling guilty, she still wasn't exactly proud of the new improved exploding potion and she didn't exactly trust Charlie enough to tell her about the potion, because she did want to keep it for emergencies.

Charlie scoffed, imagining all that Amber could say to the Hufflepuff. The spirit just seemed to want to flaunt her second chance at life, and she had an excuse to back it up. "Merlin," she scowled, "Whatta bunch o' crap..." This ongoing path to try to sort out Amber made her forget just how much she was confirming that she was physically not herself. At that point, Charlie didn't care about the bit of mystery surrounding her, or the rumors, or anything. Her pride-- yes. She didn't want that to go to waste if someone had to know the state of vulnerability she was in.
Seanna purposely didn't let on about the potion as much as Charlie hoped. In fact, she was covering up a secret of her own, the Slytherin concluded. "You gotta believe me..."She began to warn. Fine. Seanna could keep it to herself. For now, Charlie thought hastily. "Whatever that potion was, it's probably not a good thing."

Crap? Seanna hadn't exactly thought it was crap when she had been listening to the other girl/something. In fact, it sounded feasible enough to the Huffle sixth year, everybody changed now and again. Nobody she knew ever stayed the same, everybody went through something in their lives that changed them. Or was she that gullible that she bought everything that the other girl/something had said?
Quietly, and still looking at the fascinating ground that was the dungeon floor, she said, "I know what the potion could do, I've seen what the original potion can do, I just haven't tested the new potion yet, I probably most likely won't test the new potion anyhow" It was the truth, she probably wouldn't wind up testing the potion, but if it was useful, there was still that doubt in her mind that she should test it just so she could see what it could do. In case she needed to use it for emergencies.
Seanna took a moment to think about what she had said before and finally moved her eyes up to look at Charlie, the confusion in them still there, with a new sense of understanding. "That girl-- that something... what did it want with you?" Seanna asked, quietly. The sixth year was beginning to understand, but she was still confused. How was it that someone can completely take someone over and pretend to be them? The thinking was beyond comprehension to her... it was like stealing someone's identity.

"You gotta destroy it," Charlie insisted, thinking up what dangers Amber had in her mind when she helped on that potion. For the longest while Charlie had to wash away the superficial traits of a chainsmoker, including throwing away any packets before her body would respond to withdrawl. When she did, she had spotted some things tucked away in small parts of her dorm area. That included some dried herbs, some that took some time to recognize as harmless and safe-to-use in a school environment at first, but Charlie had to make a few painful trips to the library to know what they really did. They had malevolent properties when they were boiled, stirred, enchanted a certain way. It made the Slytherin girl shudder.
The comment was singular and easy for a transition as she listened on to what Seanna asked. "Control over something. Merlin, I know it!" She gritted her teeth at it. "She was a loser, though. Couldn't keep her word, couldn't keep herself straight." She remembered to breathe again and flashed a look at the Hufflepuff. "She-- I-- was evil. I-I was dark. That's all you need to know. And that's all off the record."

Seanna looked at Charlie blankly. There was no way she was going to destroy that potion, not until she tried it and tested it herself... safely, of course. "No, I'm sorry but there's no way I'm going to destroy the potion. I want to see what it can do before I destroy it" Seanna retorted. It had been a plan ages ago to try out that potion but she had never gotten around to testing it. The sixth year had gotten sidetracked by trivial pursuits instead of really focusing on that potion, but now that she had thought about it again, she had made up her mind to test it... in case she ever needed it.
"You were evil? Charlie, I don't know that well, but what I do know of you I know you're not evil. Now Reina, she's evil, but you, the things I have heard of you were nothing evil" It was true, Seanna hadn't heard anything of Charlie being evil or mean or anything like that. But that other Slytherin, now she was evil and having a few run ins with the older Slytherin, she could say that rather safely.
"Don't worry, I won't put that in article. My article is more of finding out where you go during the day, anyhow" And again she wondered who would want someone following them around all day. "Speaking of which, should we get going with that?" It was the perfect ploy. A chance to make Charlie forget about that potion and the fact she was going to test it in the future. It was also a chance to get off a topic that was clearly still hurting the other sixth year.
