As usually, the nuisance of desks and tables had been removed from the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom; their irritating and useless presence vanquished. Nothing at all remained in their place, making the stark floor stand out horribly with the Portraits portraying great aurors and wizards known for having placed themselves against the Dark Arts that covered the walls All of whom were talking idly to each other in their frames. Two were even bickering. By the sound of it, the topic over the argument was something concerning the Goblin Rebellion.
An amused smirk creasing her lips, Professor Raynor only half-listened to them. No doubt, they would reach their climax in a few minutes and badger her into choosing a side to put an end to it. Best to know what the battle ground was.
It did feel good to be teaching again. Though the guilt of leaving Banks alone with Leah tickled at her subconscious. The man had practically thrown her out of their chambers in her dressing gown when she suggested staying a bit longer. Which had been amusing on its own. It had been a yelling match through the door to get him to at least give her a set of robes. Changing in the girls bathroom had been an experience. Especially when Myrtle showed up halfway through it.
Shaking her head and crossing her arms, Raynor awaited her fourth years.

Jack started towards the next Defense Against the Dark Arts class. He was actually looking forward to this particular class, because it was one of his favorite subjects and he always seemed to have fun in it. There last class had been fun, but Drew seemed to get a bit weird towards the end of it, other than that it had went smoothly. He was in a pretty good mood today considering that he had several classes on his list that he didn't particularly like. He walked along the second floor corridor until he came to the spot where the room was and entered inside. The first thing that he noticed was that all of the desks seem to be missing. He thought that this was a little odd but then thought that it had to be because they were doing something practical today. After giving the professor a quick hello he walked over to one of the walls and set his book bag against it. He then leaned against it with his hands behind his back waiting for the other students to arrive.

Pat entered the DADA classroom, a quick glance around telling him that the only other student there so far was Jack. It looked like Drew, who had been carrying on lessons since the start of the year, wasn't here this time. No, it seemed Professor Raynor was back, looking in full fitness and ready to teach. "Good to see ya back in the classroom, Prof," he said to the professor, grinning while putting his bag down. The last time they had been in close proximity had been that fiasco with the swamp, but that was history as far as Pat was concerned. For now, he was just wondering what they'd be working on today, and who would get there next. "How's it goin', Jack?" he asked the Raven student as he took out his wand and started twiddling it in his fingers.

Talia walked into the seemingly empty classroom, not at all surprised to see her fellow fourth years. She nodded a quick hello to the actual Professor they would be having this time. She thought maybe they would get to learn and have a proper lesson. Although Drew was fun to have around and was a fairly decent teacher... He just was not cut out for it.
She parked herself near the two boys and did not say anything. She knew they would probably say hi eventually, but she was used to their presence. She figured it would be the same for them.

Ash made her way into the DADA classroom. She quickly noticed Talia, Jack and Pat had already arrived, she never liked to be first to class anyway, she hated waiting. Ash waved to them with a cheery smile on her face. She took a seat next to them and began to unpack her DADA supplies, "Raynor's back, aih?" she said noticing it wasn't Drew teaching the class anymore.

Lauren walked into the classroom, spotting the normal bunch of fourth years already in there. Her eye caught Professor Raynor back from giving birth. She was somewhat pleased. Drew was, well, cool and all, but he wasn't the BEST teacher. After all, he was only a year older than them. Still, Raynor may have some left over horomones from the baby, so Lauren just laid low upon her entrance.
Taking a seat, she looked forward.

"Pretty good. How about you?" Jack said to Pat as he watched Talia enter into the classroom and make her way over to where they were. He had expected her to show up at any time now, becuase she was one of the normal three that showed up and always seemed to be to every class early with him. "Hi Talia." he said with a smile and out of pure habit.
After a minute or two when he wondered to himself what they would be doing in this class now that they had the Deputy back as a teacher and not Drew, he noticed Ash enter the room and returned the wave that she had given them.

(( Where exactly are you cats sitting? On the floor? ))
Talia grinned and waved to Ash, and turned to Jack, "Hey Jack." She said, making each word a little longer than they needed to be. She grinned and looked at the Professor. "I wonder what we're doing today." She asked. She knew she hadn't been able to do the Patronous last class, only because she was having a hard time with the whole happy memory thing, but she would try again today. She was glad to have an actual Professor now, to ask questions and what not.

Time for defense against the dark arts class, one of Anna's favorite classes. As she walked down the second floor corridor Anna wondered if Drew was going to be teaching the class again or if Prof. Raynor was back. Her question was answered once she walked into the classroom. Well, Raynor had indeed returned so Anna was happy. "Hello everyone!" she greeted them as she walked toward Talia, since there were no desks around to sit in.

((Jack's leaning against the wall))
"I don't have any idea, but I hope that it will be interesting." Jack said smiling. He was bound and determined to give it his best effort whatever it was, even though the last class he had done the same thing and still he could not produce the patronus right. Though he didn't feel to bad about it because no one else in the class, besides Drew, had been able to produce one either.

"Hey Anna, how's it going?" She asked. It just clicked in her mind that she never really met the girl before, or talked to her at all for that matter. She was still just as friendly as she was with any of her other friends, and would love to talk to her more. She turned to Jack, "Ya, it better be interesting..." She said, hoping that she'd actually be able to do or try something at least this class. She always tried her best in all of her classes, but she always seemed to fall short of everyone else...

"Meh, It's alright, you?" Anna replied. Since she was pretty tired of standing, she decided to sit down on the floor for a while, or at least until class actually started. She always thought of Talia as a nice person, so it wouldn't hurt to get to know her a little better right? However, she did agree with Talia that the class better be interesting. Then again, maybe they would work on patronuses again. Maybe Anna might be able to do a little better with it this time around.

Talia thought sitting was a good idea at this point, and say next to Anna, and shrugged. "I guess it's all good... Can't complain." She said, since nothing bad happened to her at all, and well, she was enjoying her time at Hogwarts. She looked up to the girl now, eyes glittering, "You psyched for the Ball?" She asked, since it seemed to be the hot topic amongst the students, and amongst her friends. She put her hands on her knees and waited for an answer to her question. She wondered when class was going to start.

Anna looked into Talia's eyes to see them glittering. Apparently she was very excited about the ball and she wasn't the only one. "You bet I'm psyched!." Anna exclaimed. "I have my costume all ready to go! It's just painting myself that could be a problem." she smiled. Halloween was one of Anna's favorite times of the year, next to Christmas. And the ball sounded like it was going to be fun, but it better have candy or she won't be happy.

Talia smiled brightly, and was glad she finally had spoken to someone else who was just as excited to be going to the Ball. She grinned and suddenly felt a little girly, "Really? Me too!" She said, and then laughed a little. "Painting eh?" She said, thinking that would be fun, "What are you attempting to be exactly?" She asked now, a little curious as to what Anna was going to the Ball as. She also wondered who she was going with, but she figured she could save that question for a little later. Or, she could just see when she arrived at the Ball.
