The first years had been the only ones privilege with having Professor Raynor's instruction through the sixth weeks of her maternity leave. And that only as she had practically strangled the nurse over the issue. First Years, she had argued, were extremely impressionable. Third years could at least untangle nonsense from truth. She had not wanted to come back and have a heart attack over what the First years had or hadn't learned. Therefore, they were also the only class where her presence was not overly significant.
As with the previous lessons, the chairs and tables were in place. Complete with the Professor's desk at the forefront of the room. This was to be the last semi-sit down lesson that the first years would have. No doubt, they were as bored with all this discussion as Raynor was already. Which is why this one would be fairly interesting.
On the Deputy's desk were three very large tanks, all of which were covered with black velvet clothes. What was in them? Ah, the first years would have to guess. An amusing notion all on its own.

Artemis tayern walked into the class like a zombie, his posture was poor not that he caread as he took a seat in a corner and prayed he wouldn't have to talk at all, his father had died and he didn't want to have anyone on his case, if raynor jumped on him the probability was he would snap and that wouldn't be good. he kept his face downwards and his eyes on the floor. he took his wand and was fiddling with it subcountiosly, he didn't even notice these covered tamks.

Okay, so the first lesson wasn't so bad. Yes, a lot of listening and thinking about some very confusing things. But it wasn't so bad. Also, with the promise of they were going to see and handle different creatures, the DaDA sure got potential to become the boy's favourite class.
Which was why he entered the classroom with an almost bounce. He noticed the three covered tanks and his face lit up. Sure that got to be something interesting. It's a little too soon in the boy's opinion to have them battle any creature, but he's not complaining.
He didn't fire questions about the tanks just yet. Trying hard to contain his excitement, he went and sat down, looking intently at them.

Brittany entered the classroom with her book. She wanted to pay more attention in this class. She walked and sat down. She put her book down and waited for class to start. Looking around she saw Art and Kyle. She smiled. They both we're crazy but she still thought they we're cool. She was never really ethusastic at the time. She couldn't remembered the last time she even was hyper. She didn't think that she was. Maybe he she did, it wouldn't matter, she just wanted class to start.

As soon as Nathan took a first step into the classroom, he couldn't help but groan appreciatively (or not). Those desks were EVIL!. Generally speaking of course. Why? Well, because whenever he saw those ‘evil’ blocks of wood, he knew it would just be another boring theoretical lesson. Hands-on learning was much more exciting and experience-confidential. If 'experience-confidential' was actually a correct statement, then perhaps the firstie would make a tad bit more sense. He just liked the big words.
But since it doesn’t create a valid argument, Nathan only had one valid excuse to the entire desk anchaloda. With an increased slump, Nathan walked to the closest desk in an overdramatic way that was specifically born to be in theatre. Allowing a frown to crease in his cherub cheeks, the firstie found his feet amusing him while he awaited for the class to start. And perhaps end. He heed no attention to the little Gryffie next to him, for she was just another soul to be eaten alive bored to death in this class.

Flora strolled into the classroom feeling a little excited about Defense against the Dark arts, which was something that didn't happen to often. Seeing the three large tanks on top of Prof. Raynor's desk, Flora began to wonder what the day's lesson would have. "Vell, I can probobly bet zat there aren't parranas in there, though it would be amusing. As the firstie continued walking inside, she paid no attention to the people around her and sat down at a desk. Flora still felt a bit sleepy from having to wake up that morning.

Sarsha was happy because today she managed to find the classroom on time and without running into any problems and that was a good thing in her mind. Sarsha came semi-bouncing into the classroom happy that she had made it on time. Her eyes scanned around the room. The first thing she noticed was the covered tanks sitting on the professors desk. She then noticed Kyle and Flora and Arty, but the only one of the three who seemed to be overly awake was Kyle. So happily, though slightly wary about the contents of the tanks, Sarsha moved and sat down next to Kyle. "Good morning" she said with a smile to Kyle.

Kyle didn't care if anyone thought he's too eager. He hadn't had much opportunities to see any magical creatures before, not to mention a possibly dark evil magical creatures.
"Morning Sar," his eyes left the tank for a moment to greet her. "I think we are going to use our wands to battle something today."

Chase stepped into the DADA classroom. She looked around, trying to find a seat and decided to take one next to Nathan. She smiled to him, " You okay?" she saw his frown and decided to ask, not feeling that she was being nosy at all. Chase began to unpck her things as she waited for his answer, DADA was one of her favorite subjects, she was better with magic than book work, making Charms her best subject and Astronomy her worst.
Although Chase had nothing against any of the professors, just thought that some of them were sort of boring.
