Audrey sat motionless, her golden eyes flying across the pages of the book she was holding. Her thick black glasses sat gracefully on the tip of her nose, allowing her to read without having to crane her neck. Every now and then a slight 'whoosh' would be heard from her thin fingers brushing across the paper as she turned the pages. Her eyes danced rather quickly across the small print on the pages and soon the book had no more pages left. Standing up briskly, she slid her current book into its proper place and began to search for a new read. Please refer to our Rules on IC post formatting -FH

His final year, the Auror Academy on the horizon, his underground study group to prepare for, not to mention NEWTs, Drew was spending more time than usual in the library. His visits had become more frequent and more purpose-filled in the last two years and now it was more often that he was found studying instead of sleeping in one of the more comfortable chairs.
While his original venture that day was to find some good books to help with the study group, he was currently attempting to find his glasses. He was backtracking his path through the stacks of books, looking under tables, sweeping along shelves, and he didn't even notice the girl until he bumped into her, all the while unaware that his glasses were perched on top of his head.
"Oh, dang. Sorry about that. You okay?" he asked, recognizing the girl as someone from his house, but really not having the opportunity to meet her yet.

Auddie smiled and re-adjusted her glasses so she could see properly.
"It's no problem at all. I should've been watching where I was wondering. Andrew, right?" Auddie smiled, outstretching her hand. Audrey had never met Ravenclaw's Head Boy which was ludacris considering she was in the house herself.
Scanning the older boy with her eyes she saw he did indeed fit the description of a Ravenclaw. He was tall, handsome and his glasses gave him an air of intelligence.
"My name is Audrey. Most people just call me Auddie. Nice to meet you."

"It's just Drew," the seventh year answered with a crooked smile, putting his hand out to greet the girl properly by shaking hers. "Nice to finally meet you properly. I've seen you around the house." He wasn't sure, but he thought they might also have a class or two together considering how many combined lessons they had for the NEWT levels.
"So... being the stereotypical Ravenclaw today, or are you in here for other purposes?" he asked, forgetting for a moment that he was looking for his glasses.

After a small nod showing Drew she had understood, Audrey took her glasses off her face and placed them onto her head, giving her a professional look aside from her crazy hair. Pulling a few dishevled strands of pink hair out from under her glasses, she spoke.
"The pleasure's mine. And yes, we do pass each other often. We just run with different crowds I suppose. We've also had a few classes through the years." she smiled warmly.
"Naturally." Audrey replied with a slight giggle. "Making sure I'm ready for everything and anything. I just want to be on top of everything. I got a troll on one of my owls and was so shocked. Divinations." Audrey scoffed, clearly in dislike with the subject.
"And yourself?" Audrey inquired, an eyebrow raised at Drew.

"There's a rumor going around that the Divination test consists of only one question," Drew said with a smirk. "You have to predict your own grade... otherwise it's an automatic T. I sure hope that wasn't you..." The rumor also went on to say that one guy messed up the whole test by prediciting a T for himself. The examiner couldn't give him a T or else the guy would have been right and deserved a higher grade, but if he deserved a higher grade, the prediciton would have been wrong. Drew just figured it was one of those urban legends.
"Me? Just looking up some good Defense books," he answered. Since his favorite class had been canceled, the one class he needed above all others, he had to get most of the material himself.
