Ellie had had to set herself for an afternoon of studying. She had had plans with her brother that sort of fell through, so she decided to spend some time studying instead. While she would have rather been given a chance to have a nice conversation with her brother, she also needed to study. Plus the boy was busy with some little Hufflepuff gather in of his own.
The Ravenclaw almost felt bad for pushing her brother into the social event. Anything with the word ‘ social ‘ in it tended to scare Beau off. The reason she didn’t feel bad, though, was because he needed some friends. Ellie’s own friends seemed to come and go, leaving and entering the school randomly and at odd intervals. She learned to not really count on them sticking around for forever, but just to enjoy the time she had with them at the moment. Plus it was terrible seeing her brother so darn lonely. He never admitted to it, but the girl knew better. How could someone go on living life happily without the joy of friends? As far as she knew, they couldn’t.
Her mind was jumbled with random thoughts about exams, her brother, making friends and her lessons as she descended the stairs on her way to the second floor. She watched in amusement as a small group of first years got caught on a stair case that had just started moving. Ellie could hear the twittering young voices complaining about the moving stairs. In her five years at the school, Ellie had grown used to it.
She passed the group of first years on the next floor down and sent a smile their way.
Ellie readjusted the satchel on her shoulder as she entered the library. It was dusty, musty and old, but she loved it all the same. Her outfit was fitting for what she was about to do, consisting of a pair of skinny jeans, a gray shirt, and a black blazer over it. Her hair was tied up into a loose ponytail, her bangs off to the side and out of her way. Setting her books down on an empty table, the girl took a seat, taking a moment to look around before she opened her Muggle Studies book and began to review some more. Her thoughts went uninterrupted, the way she liked it.
