"I lose my temper quickly," he told her right away, knowing the answer right off the top of his head. It was something that Nathan really hated about himself, but at least he was aware of it. He knew his own short comings. Unfortunately, there wasn't too much he could do about it. Nathan had tried more than once to change the way he reacted to things but it wasn't something that was easy to switch on and off. "I've always been that way and I can see Cooper going the same way sometimes," Nathan confessed, leaning his elbows on his knees again as he sat forward, "And it's not something I wanted to pass on to him." His hand automatically reached up and scratched his head again, unaware he was doing it. He kept his gaze away from Brittany, not really liking to talk about the bad aspects of his personality.
"It's not something I'm proud of," the man admitted in a whisper, "I don't like getting angry and I hate when I do."

Brittany was relieved. Was that a bad reaction? It didn't matter, because she was. Nathan had pretty much seemed practically perfect in every way. His anger flaw was a reassurance. Something that told her that he was human. Of course, the two day clause came back to her mind but people can tell. Usually she could tell what she didn't like in a person. However, Nathan's hadn't come at her at all. Love is blind. "Dear Merlin, no you did not!" She scolded her self inwardedly for a while with obscenities.
In her celebration she hadn't noticed his disappointment in himself. As she looked down she saw the look on his face and heard his whispered regret. Her heart ached as she watched him. Turning around so that she faced the back of the sofa, she inched up next to him. Ducking under one of his elbows, she wiggled her self in between his arms. Smiling she peered up into his sad face.
"Hey, I am so glad that you have something that is wrong with you. For a moment I wasn't too sure you were real." Brittany explained honestly.
Leaning forward she brushed her nose up against his playfully. Eskimo kisses were her specialty. There was no point in being upset by getting angry sometimes. After all, she didn't know how anyone would ever live with her hard-headed syndrome. Not to mention the compulsive disorder she had of never admitting that she was wrong. Brittany reassurred him with a teasing tone, "Trust me, I've got a lot more than that for you to handle."

"Trust me, I've got a lot more than that for you to handle."
The way she said it made it seem as though she was planning on sticking with him for a while. It made him want to smile, but instead his mischievous side came out and he pretended to be confused. "Who says I'm gonna have to handle you for much longer?" he asked her, trying his best to keep his voice steady. But his grin gave him away and he snuck in a quick kiss before she could get angry at him. "Relax, I'm kidding," he assured her with a sweet smile, "I'm looking forward to having you around for quite some time. He hoped his smile would keep him out of trouble for now.
Nathan leaned back on the couch, stretching his arms out on the back that sat against the wall and looked down at Brittany. He smiled at her, motioning with his head for her to join him once more. "Do you want me to ask you another question, or shall we abandon this game and try something else?" he asked, not really having anything else in mind but was sure he could think of something.

Brittany narrowed her eyes at his joke. She knew he was just joking with him but he had still said it. Therefore, she was fully entitled to payback. As he kissed her, the plans for payback slipped to the back of her mind. She figured that she had achieved her goal and distracted him. That was all that she wanted. Sliding back around, she leaned against the arm of the couch so that she could face him.
"Brat," Brittany giggled poking him inbetween his ribs a couple of times.
As he told her that he wanted her around for a long time, she felt her stomach flip. There was good and bad feelings attached to her stomach flip. Nothing to even consider for a millisecond now. Waving the thoughts away with his next question, she thought about it for a moment.
Figuring that their game was pretty much finished she told him, "Let's abandon the game. Have anything particular in mind now?"

"Hey!" Nathan flinched when she poked him in the ribs. He was secretly ticklish, but he wasn't about to admit that to her. Nathan knew better than that.
"Not really," he admitted with a chuckle, scratching his head. He glanced around them, wondering what they could do without having to go far. He really had no desire to get up and move, so it had to be something they could do and stay on the couch. Many things passed through his mind but they all left rather quickly, being incredibly inappropriate in nature. Nathan felt himself blush a little.
Nathan moved himself a little closer to Brittany on the couch, his eyes never leaving her as he moved. He looked at her hungrily, really, really wanting to kiss her again. If someone asked him, Nathan could never explain how or why he was so attracted to her already but he just was. The man knew she was just as attracted to him, but he still didn't want to keep moving so fast and maybe scare her off. "Maybe we could just...sit here," he suggested, leaning in a little closer, "And..." He finished his thought with a light kiss.

Brittany laughed as Nathan squirmed at her jabs. It was pretty funny how he had jumped away like that. She hadn't poked him with any force. Noticing his sudden blush she wondered what exactly he was thinking. Although, she didn't have a chance to ask him. Instead of thinking about it further, her mind was slightly distracted by his movement. Nathan was inching closer to her and she was curious as to what exactly he had up his sleeve.
"Wha-" Brittany got out about a syllable before he leaned in to kiss her.
Smiling into the kiss, her eyebrows raised in surprise. She figured that she should have seen that coming but hadn't really had a clear mind to think about it. Or to interpret why he was moving towards her for. Nathan's kiss was very light and soft. She liked how he doled out little kisses here and there. Especially when she wasn't exactly expecting it. It added to his boyish air that seemed to emanate from him.
Not trusting her voice she simply agreed with an, "Okay."

Nathan liked that she so willingly agreed, but a moment later he pulled back from the kiss. He enjoyed kissing her, that was true, but he didn't want it to lose it's novelty. It probably wouldn't, but he wanted to keep it that way. When he pulled back, Nathan kept his gaze on her and rested his hand on his hand, propping his elbow on the back of the couch. "Actually, we should go for a walk," he suggested. The office was getting a little hot for him and his nerves were setting in again. He could feel his palms getting clammy and sweaty and gross and he really didn't want Brittany to have to discover that.
"There's something I wanna show you," he confessed with a grin, hoping to peak her curiosity so she'd follow him, "But it's out in the grounds."

Brittany felt a bit of disappointment as Nathan pulled away. She tried not to wrinkle her nose in a disagreeing manner as he leaned away from her. Part of her wanted to just follow him as he moved. That way he wasn't any farther away from her. She knew that it would probably make her look crazy, so she refrained from the action. Instead, she watched him as he settled back.
Her eyebrow raised as an unconcious reaction with her curiousity. A walk didn't sound too bad. She could use the fresh air to clear her head. Maybe that would help her pulse that seemed to be unusually higher than normal. At the announcement that he had something that he wanted to show her, she was decided. He was good. Already he knew that she wouldn't be able to resist her curiosity. Had she told him she had been a Gryffindor? Maybe she was easier to read than she thought.
"Alright, you have my attention." Brittany joked with a laugh. "I'll follow you."
She wondered what exactly he had to show her. There wasn't much that she hadn't seen before. Getting up, Brittany walked around her desk and grabbed the jacket hanging on the back of it. Lapping it over her arm, she smiled and announced, "I'm ready."
