It seemed that Lily visited the professor's office quite a lot. It wasn't like she tried to and she actually felt bad now. Lily didn't want to bother the professor; she had the baby to take care of. Things weighed heavy on her mind though- her patrounous and her future the most. Lily was a habitual worrier.
So with a small sigh, Lily knocked on the door. Maybe the professor would be off somewhere. She wasn't going to turn around a leave though, that would be rude. So, she supposed, she was stuck here. Unless of course, the professor wasn't in. Lily hadn't ever been that lucky though.

And it seemed that her luck was not going to begin now. The Deputy was indeed in residence today. But she was not alone. Behind her desk, Raynor had her chair pushed away from it, closer to the warmth of the fire and was apparently playing... peekaboo with the month old Leah whom occupied her lap.
Tamis would cover her eyes, ask where Leah and gone off too and then uncover them, beaming when she finally 'found' her. It was a humorous sight for anyone who knew anything of Tamis Gallaudet's personality. But little Leah seemed to take to it very well. Not yet laughing, a huge smile would overcome her baby lips and light her very bright blue eyes.
And, alas, it was for this interaction that she did not hear the knock on the door. However, anyone could tell she was in residence with all the ruckus coming through wood.

So here she was in a dilemna. Professor Raynor was 'in the house' but she hadn't seemed to respond to Lily's knock. This was her chance to escape. Could Lily handle an escape on her conscience though? She couldn't and she knew it. So she was just going to try coming in as less rudely as possible.
Lily placed her hand on the door handle. It was cold and Lily knew her hands were sweaty. She opened it slowly and popped her head in. "Do you mind if I come in Professor Raynor? I knocked but I don't think you heard me." She fell silent, waiting for an answer from her.
