Enough was enough. The first day was continuing to be sucky and Hannah couldn't take it anymore. The promise she had made to herself wasn't doing her any good, it had only made Jeremy be mad at her and only made her get irritated with herself. Hannah had thought that it was a good idea to start off with, keeping herself away from Jeremy so she wouldn't get him into trouble for something she did, but the idea had it's consequences as well.
Hannah hated consequences, but she didn't think Jeremy would wind up being mad at her for not sitting next to him. It wasn't like she had to sit next to him, she could sit with anybody she liked. Truth be told, she had wanted to sit next to him, she just didn't want to get him into trouble for something that she did, for she knew it was bound to happen sooner or later.
That was why she had decided to skip the last class for the day. Hannah didn't care if she lost house points, or if anyone got mad at her, at least she didn't have to wrestle with herself every time she walked into a classroom. Walking through the library to the very back of it and to a desk that was further away than all the others, Hannah dumped her backpack and got out her Charms book.
Just because she had decided to skip Charms, Hannah still could learn it. Yes, her priorities were screwed up a bit, but the whole day had been screwy and at least here she didn't have to decide on who to sit with and at least being here meant there was no way no one could bother her at this moment, especially because everyone else should be in class.

Drew had been spending a lot of his free time in the library. There wasn't much else to do with quidditch cancelled, his girlfriend sticking close to her room, and everyone still a little off from the takeover. Ari would be proud of him for staying so focused on his school work... if she wasn't currently stuck at Mungo's.
He was free for the afternoon, or as free as an aspiring Auror could be with Shaw on the lose and NEWTs little over a year away. He had staked out a spot at one of the wide tables rather than snagging his usual sofa by the back window. He always fell asleep back there.
He had looked up from his book for a moment to see a familiar face walk by, seemingly set on Drew's prefered spot at the back of the library. He frowned a little to himself, his glasses cutting into his brow, and packed up his things to investigate. When he found her she was settign herself up not very far from his favorite sofa by the window.
"Don't you have class?" he asked raising a suspicious eyebrow at the little Ravenclaw. If Jeremy was in class, then Hannah should be there as well.

Hannah groaned. If her day had to get any worse, having Jeremy's cousin and her prefect finding her skipping class made it so. If it was Hiro that had found her, Hannah wouldn't have minded, but seeing as it was Drew, Hannah minded big time. "Don't you have it too?" Hannah shot back, not in the mood to be nice to anyone, when her day had been incredibly bad.
"'Sides, I'm studying" Hannah held up her book of Charms to show Drew. Fair enough, the book wasn't open, but she was planning on opening it up and learning from it. It was just that she had so many thoughts running around her head, the young girl couldn't quite focus on Charms at the moment. "It's only Charms, as well" Hannah pointed out, as if that said it all.
"I learn better when I'm by myself, anyhow" Hannah informed the Prefect, though she didn't know why she was. Her statement was a true one, if she was by herself learning, she didn't have to worry about Jeremy or about getting into trouble or about anybody else for that matter, she could just focus on her studying, instead.

"Actually, I'm done for the day," Drew answered with a wide grin. "One of the perks of passing your OWLs." Of course the downside was you spent all of your newly found free time on homework.
"Charms, huh?" Drew asked, interested in the fact that she skipped class to actually study. Dang, what a Ravenclaw... "The book can't really show you the right way to move your wand though," he pointed out. It came pretty close, but to do it without an example, it took a lot of trial and error... and in his case a lot of trips to the nurse.

Well, that was fine and dandy for him. Next time, she'd have to re-think where she was going to skip class and find some place where Drew wasn't bound to be. Maybe she could fake being sick for the next day of classes? Hannah knew she was a good actress and she could most likely pull it off. 'Course, Hannah being Hannah would study her subject's through that day, anyhow. Though, she would learn the harder spells then the easier ones.
"That's what the courtyard is good for and Bluey. It's mainly just a swish and a flick for the spells I'm learning anyhow" Hannah informed Drew, rolling her eyes a bit. It wasn't that hard to learn Charms, it was one class she was good at it. "Charms class is easy. It's the people in my class sometimes that makes it not so easy... " Hannah trailed off, not sure why she was telling Drew this and at the same time feeling like a world class tattler.
"Don't get me wrong, I like my classmates. It's just... " Hannah stopped and made a face at Drew, feeling like she was digging a hole for herself and one that she wouldn't be able to get out off. "You know what? Maybe you should just forget everything I said" Hannah told him, trying not to be rude to him, but having no such luck in doing so. Opening her Charms book, she started to read about the unlocking Charm, hoping Drew would forget that she had said anything.

Hannah did a bit of running off at the mouth, babbling a lot of things Drew wasn't sure made sense. These he chalked up to little girl musings and he smirked a little as she spoke.
But then she started talking about her classmates and this concerned him a little. Not so easy? Were kids picking on her? Drew had little doubt that Hannah could take care of herself, but maybe it was more than just standard kids picking on one another.
"No, what were you going to say?" he prompted, concerned over what sounded like bullying to him. And if it was happening to Hannah, was it hurting Jeremy too? "What's going on with the kids in class?"

Why couldn't Drew go away and let her enjoy the studying skipping class thing she was doing? Why couldn't she keep her mouth closed and not say anything at all? "Nothing!" Hannah exclaimed, probably just a little louder then she had intended to do when Drew asked what was going on with the kids in the class. Hannah could deal with the kids in her class doing things to her. It was only that evil Slytherin and that awful Huffle after all. They were easy to deal with.
It was her and her own stupidity that was harder to deal with. Her and her own stupid promise to keep herself away from Jeremy in class, so she wouldn't get him in trouble. "There's nothing going on with the kids in class, Drew. It's me that's the problem" Hannah said, still not sure why she was telling him all this stuff. It wasn't like she liked him or anything.
Hannah was beginning to think that Drew had some crazy super power that could extract anything out of a person, even though they never wanted to tell him anyways, she was sure of it. Why else would she be telling him things, for? "Are you sure you don't have super power's?" Hannah asked innocently, she knew Hiro had super powers, so maybe it was a Ravenclaw Prefect thing that they had taught each other. Either way, Hannah hoped that asking that question would make Drew forget that she had said anything about her problems.

Drew smirked at Hannah's question. "Super powers? I don't think so," he answered, not exactly sure what she mant by that. If he thought about it, he might have by Muggle standards, but he was pretty sure she wasn't talking by Muggle standards.
"And I seriously doubt you're the problem," he told her seriously, still pretty sure something was going on in classes. "I mean, you have your annoying bits, but on the whole you're a pretty cool kid." Especially by the way Jeremy talked about her. The little Ravengirl was really the only person he talked about. "I mean, you're friends with my cousin and he's a cool kid too, but I know sometimes he can be difficult to deal with." He said this carefully, knowing that the last time he teased Jeremy in front of her, Drew felt the wrath of Hannah.

"You don't?" Hannah replied, a frown crossing her face. The young girl was just slightly disappointed that Drew didn't have any super powers. Hannah had held that thought about him ever since he had made those books fly down the steps at her when she had gotten into the boys dorm.
Now that that theory had gone out of her head that Drew had super powers, she began to think that maybe that power he had was a magical thing instead of a super power. Oh, Hannah knew that thing that Hiro did to get her on the train was called apparating or something or rather, but she just secretly liked to think he did have some cool magical super power. "How did you make those books fly back to me that time, if you didn't have super powers?" Hannah asked Drew, seriously wanting to know how he did it. That maneuver was pretty cool in her book.
"I guess so... " Hannah trailed off, making a face at Drew when he called her a cool kid. The girl didn't like to be put in a category and she thought all of her classmates were pretty cool in their own ways... a couple only being the exception that she didn't really like and the girl had good reasons for not liking them. "No, he's not. I mean, he's cool, but no, he's not that hard to deal with" Hannah said, making another face at Drew and feeling the need to defend Jeremy, even though Drew didn't really say anything bad about him.

"The books? That was just magic," Drew answered with a shrug, wondering if that particular bit might be considered a super power. He still didn't think so.
When she spoke of his cousin, Drew noted something in her voice that made him curious and he smiled. At least she wasn't yelling at him this time. "So I'm the only one he complains to?" Drew asked her before doing a near perfect imitation of his cousin. "Stop it Drew!" But even with the occasional whining, no Drew supposed that Jeremy wasn't all that hard to deal with if you knew him.

"It was magic? But I never saw you use a wand!" Hannah exclaimed. So that was magic and not a super power that Drew had done that time. Still, that was pretty cool magic and Hannah wondered if Drew could teach her how to do that, though she was thinking that that was really advance magic and she probably had to practice it every day just to actually do it.
Hannah had to hold back a giggle when Drew did that imitation of his cousin. It was exactly the same that she had been getting, except it was "Stop it, Hannah!" when it came to her and it was usually after something she had done and not him complaining to her about something. "He never complains to me about anything. It's more he complains about things I've done or doing, which is why I'm the problem in classes" Hannah informed Drew, giving him a guilty smile, thinking about the times she had lost points for Ravenclaw when she had played up in class.

"Not all magic needs a wand," Drew pointed out even though movement charms usually did. Of course there were great wizards out there there who could do all sorts of wandless magic, but Drew wasn't one of them. His was just his baby magic he had never lost.
"You aren't the problem," Drew told her again, this time with a small smile. "It's just Jeremy is kind of..." Drew stopped and bit his lip, not sure he should be telling Hannah this stuff. Jeremy was his cousin and he was supposed to protect the boy. Drew wasn't sure telling Hannah things would do more harm or more good.

"I am the problem, trust me" Hannah insisted to Drew, wondering what he was going to say about Jeremy. The young girl could probably think of a few adjective's to describe him. Irritating, confusing, annoying... well, that was only in class. Out of class she'd describe him as nice, helpful and in her opinion cute as well and probably the nicest friend she had at Hogwarts who was in her year.
"I kinda made a promise to myself this term. The promise involves me not sitting next to him because I don't want to get him in trouble for something I did" Hannah told Drew, not really sure again why she was telling her other Prefect this, but felt she had to so he would understand her dilemma. Maybe, just maybe Drew could help her with her current dilemma and maybe, just maybe Hannah was beginning to think that Jeremy's cousin was just as nice as he was.
"Which is bound to happen even if I do try and stay out of things" Hannah shrugged, throwing another guilty look at Drew. So far, nothing had happened in class, but Hannah knew it was bound to sooner or later. The staying out of trouble gig she was on really couldn't last forever, as much as Hannah wanted it too.

"Come on Hannah, I'm sure Jeremy plays his bit in it too," Drew told her sympathetically. Jeremy could be tough to deal with at times and for someone as spunky as Hannah, it was probably frustrating that the little guy was always such a wet blanket. "And staying out of things probably doesn't fix anything at all. Have you tried telling him all this, that you don't want to get him in trouble?"

"Only if that bit is when he tells me to stop it" All though, if she was honest with herself, she kinda liked hearing that, but at the same time it was irritating to hear that every single time she was doing something wrong. "I mean, it's no problem, it's just... gets really annoying after while" Hannah shrugged, letting her brown eyes drop to the floor, still feeling like she was an a-grade tattler.
Drew was right when he mentioned that staying out of things didn't fix anything. More so, it complicated things. Hannah knew that by now Jeremy was probably mad at her for not sitting next to her, the look on his face in History Of Magic told her that and Hannah knew that the idea was probably not one of the best idea's she had ever had.
At Drew's next words, Hannah nearly fell off her chair when he suggested that she should tell Jeremy that she didn't want to get him into trouble. Straightening herself up on the chair, Hannah looked at Drew with wide eyes. "Tell him? No, I haven't tried telling him that I don't won't him to get into trouble" Hannah made a face at Drew, just imaging that certain conversation, she was sure that it would turn into a fight.
