Day After The Fight.[/b] 4amAfter having had nearly fifteen hours to comprehend what had happened between the two girls, who were alike in morals and even personality, and how it had gone so very wrong. Matty, attempting to appeal to the girl's compassionate, loving, caring side, the side that so many see so often, and Tianne threw it back in her face, knowing that she couldn't be bought off with a sweet smile and an explanation full of flaws. It shouldn't have escalated to what it ended up being, but it was in the past now, and although irreversible, both of the girls just wanted to rid it from their thoughts. Tianne now had severe regrets, and if anyone had asked, she would have told them that she was borderline depressed and psychotic. Lucky, as Tianne knew that she wouldn't be the best friend, the most appealing people person at this moment, her fellow Ravenclaw's sensed that there was something wrong, and just left the girl alone. Perhaps they saw the whole fight, and couldn't talk to her and risk cracking up, but she felt respected by their choice to leave the girl to her thoughts. After sitting in the tree for a couple of hours, absorbing the attacks that had been thrown at her, Tianne had made her way back up to the Ravenclaw Common Room, where she fell asleep with her kitten in front of the fire, and didn't wake up until the wee hours of the morning. Most people would have known that Tianne had had a nightmare, by the way that she woke up, tears in her eyes, puffing as if she'd just run across the country. Tianne was pleased to find that she had been covered with a blanket, so her Ravenclaw's had thought about her. Pushing it down with a smile, thinking that the previous days fight was just a part of her nightmare. Realizing that it wasn't was one of the worst moments in the girl's life, behind of course, the actual fight with Matty, and the departure of Seth. Tianne felt claustrophobic, anxiety kicking in as she grabbed her the blanket and ran out of the door, just needing to get out of the place that was crowding her thoughts. She didn't take one thought towards what time it was, whether curfew was in place, or even her prefect badge. Running and running until a cramp agonised the left side of the girl's body, and the girl once again succumbed to tears, Tianne didn't take any notice of where she was. It was dark, she was outside, the pavement, the cobblestones, they were cold, and Tianne was hot, so hot. Feeling flustered, and angry that she had let all of this happen, Tianne really hoped that she wouldn't see anyone here. Some people were just too hard to understand, Tianne being a prime candidate for that. She didn't know what she was doing. Rolling herself into a ball as she bit down on her index finger and cried, Tianne pulled the blanket over herself, and cried some more. And she cried. And she wept. And she groaned. And she wished, wished with her heart and her head, that it was just all a horrible dream. [ Closed for Matilda Wentworth. Thanks [: ]

She hated this. Literally, honestly, utterly, totally. Matilda Wentworth couldn't stand the way she was feeling at the moment. It was like all the guilt, regret and unsettling feelings she had ever had decided to build up inside of her at the moments, devouring her mind, her body. The girl didn't feel comfortable in her own skin, basically. And heck, who could blame her? She was convinced she had lost her best friend ever to cross her path. Of course the girl was going to feel like crap. Not to mention she was fast brining on a cold, and probably a migraine, too. But she wasn't paying much attention to her physical welfare, more so the battle in her mind. Had more damage been done, that couldn't now be reversed? The teen couldn't even muster up the strength to consider the downside to that situation. Losing Tianne was like losing a part of your body, soul and mind. Considering Matty was already out of her mind at the moment, or so she thought, she couldn't bare to think she was going to lose more.
But why had she lost that, exactly? It was because the girl, who was usually oh so calm and collected decided to lash out at Tianne. She had done so, after being accused of being a liar, a preppy popular person, and odds are, a bit of a moron. Though the first two may not have agreed with her, Matilda could accept being a moron, because quite frankly, she felt like one. The girl hadn't meant to blow her top, but it was only a result from the bad reaction she had gotten, after telling Tianne and herself and Emeric. She knew he wasn't to blame for this, and right now, the only thing she wanted more than to go and try to fix things with Tianne, was to go and find him. But she knew neither of those things were going to happen.
The Hufflepuff had stayed on the bank of the Lake for a long time, after sitting and silently crying. She waited until it was almost dark to finally turn around, only to see that the Ravenclaw had long gone. She had miserably stumbled up to the common room, still only wearing her shirt, lugging her wet belongings, and completely soaked from the rain she had been sitting through. Of course, her fellow Badgers had been very, very concerned about this. For a blood-shot Matty still sniffling back tears was a site many had never even seen, only those who had been around when she had fought with Jynx that one time years ago would know the girl when in a rage. She had dumped her things, and had a hot shower for a long time after that. Matilda had slipped into a pair of skinny jeans and a red flannelet shirt. She rolled up the sleeves, before settling into an armchair with the rest of her house mates.
For a long time, the girl stared at the fire, her green eyes watering, but not from the heat of the flame. She felt miserable as she knew the weather was, churning with wind and cold weather, and in Spring, too. She switched seated when the younger years retired to bed, leaving her and the older years sitting around, listening to them chat until sometime near midnight. By now, she was on the plush lounge, her head propped up on her hand connected to her elbow, dozing lightly. She felt an older boy tap her shoulder lightly, noticing now that most of the lamps were dimmed, the fire still alight, but barley. She felt like she could relate to it now; thinking that there was only a short amount of time before she lost her best friend, if their friendship wasn't lit again.
The girl was gently helped up the stairs, the sevenths years leather jacket slung over her shoulders. Matty managed to make it to her dorm, crashing on the bed at once. But she hardly slept, in all those hours leading up to three o'clock. Her sleep was woken with every shift of another fifth year, every creak of the wind against the enchanted window, even by her own breathing. She could hardly lay still by then. So the girl dragged her body from the dorm, her arms feeling like lead, but still unable to be content with itself. Matilda wandered out onto the grounds for a long while, avoiding the forest, but sticking to the spot around the lake where she had been yesterday afternoon. It had only been hours, but it felt like seconds now. Eventually, the teenager meandered back up to the castle, rolling down the sleeves of her shirt, having left the jacket back at her dorm. Wandering through the ground floor, the girl appeared out in the courtyard. She could feel the wind blowing hard against her back, whipping up her hair, the cold biting into her skin. Yet, she still failed to feel refreshed or comfortable in her own skin.
It was only then that the girl realized someone else was out here. She cursed herself inwardly for not brining a wand, but that though evaporated almost at once, as Matty neared the person. They were huddled on the ground in a ball, a blanket around them, crying. And Merlin, would she know that cry anywhere. It was Tianne. The teenager didn't know whether to yell at her more, walk away right there, or cry herself. But suddenly, she found herself bending down, falling onto her knees, and placing a gentle hand upon the girl's shoulder. Matilda tried not to flinch, in fear that Tianne would lash out at her. The words that came from her mouth seemed to be unfamiliar, croaky, but absolutely sincere.
"She's sorry, you know."

Tianne didn't really think about how stupid she would have looked to Matty, after causing all this... Well, all this chaos, this mayhem. There really wasn't any other way to describe it properly, unless you count stupid as a way, but most of the things Tianne and Matty do together are stupid, and that didn't necessarily mean bad. It was crazy, unexpected and infuriating, though these things were once again associated with some of the good times that the girls' had shared. It was an odd relationship that the girls shared, but there never was anyone ever closer than they were, up until the fight.
Tianne really didn't know if they were ever going to make up. She hoped, oh did she hope, that they would, whether it be now, or in a few weeks, months, or years time, but Tianne jsut wanted to be friends with Matty again. She hated herself for letting something so terrible and petty get between the two, and she regretted it with her life, but nothing she could say or do would erase that; it was simply irreversible. A term used so much in magic, the effects of this potion are irreversible, but it wasn't a word that many used when describing a days activities, however horrid they may be.
That one word almost killed Tianne. It shook her, and filled her with the anger that had been there so many hours ago, as well as the sadness and regret that had made her night even worse. The emotions hit her so hard, with the exhaust that she had built up through her lack of deep sleep. She wanted to fall asleep so badly, but with the weight of this burden pushing down on her more and more each second, she just couldn't.
Hearing a voice, one she had been hoping to hear, one that she recognized as soon as the first sound of the 'Sh', her body going into a state of panic almost instantly. She didn't want to argue even more, and Tianne had no idea what Matty was going to say. Although she heard the comment from the girl, it took quite a while to set in, the apology, or so Tianne had thought once she had understood what the girl was saying, but Tianne wasn't really too sure on that.
"You know, Tianne didn't mean anything she said." Tianne spoke with a serious, yet solemn face evident on her features, her blue eyes now highlighted from the pink color that had absorbed into her face, even though in the darkness its wasn't at all visible.
"Matty... I'm sorry too..."

The seconds between in which Matty spoke, and Tianne replied seemed to take forever. It was a word that was so lightly used, when it came about in every day conversations. 'I haven't seen you in forever'. But this honestly felt like forever. The girl was scared that if the girl before he didn't say anything, that she would surely faint from holding her breath for an eternity. Another word the Hufflepuff teenager knew she had dreaded mentioning, even inside her mind. It could be used for both peace and destruction, just like forever could be. 'I'll love you for an eternity, forever' and then there was always the opposite 'I'll never forgive you, not ever, not for an eternity'. Frankly, those two words, combine with all the phrases that they fitted in with, were scaring the hell out of Matilda.
She could hear her heart beating in her chest, loud enough over the wind that swept up her hair, that swept up her fear, and churned it inside her stomach. What was she doing? For all the girl knew, Tianne could be out here, unable to sleep, being of the hate she had built up against Matty. She couldn't determine the result that was going to unfold, but all that seemed to stick in the girls mind was images of negative outcome, of utterly horrid results. She closed her eyes for a moment, and managed to suck in a breathe, right before the Ravenclaw girl did reply. And, Merlin, when she did, Matty could feel life inside her again. There was no raised voices, no tears of anger anymore, and no wall of electricity between them, that had previously forbid any touch.
Her body seemed to move on it's own, falling down so that she sat with her legs outstretched, her knees arched up to wards the early morning sky. Matilda hugged herself with one arm, as it seemed that her hand on Tee's shoulder was rather stuck on the spot. She shook her head slightly. "You... you don't have to apologies. I should have told you. I shouldn't have said all those bloody awful things I said. I..." she was surprised to find a laugh bubbling from her mouth. "I shouldn't have made such a mess of things." she said, her voice and face solemn. Yes, she was prepared to take the brunt, of this, take the blame for this whole thing. Even though deep down the girl knew they had both had a big hand in it, it was in her nature to protect those who she loved, no matter what it took. And thats what she was doing right now.
