You better know what you're doing...

[Drew Thornton]

It was the wee hours of the morning and Drew came into the hospital wing carrying Lily in his arms. They were both soaking wet from his attempt to lower her temperature in the shower and the closest thing either of them had to dry clothes was the towel thrown over the girl. He made his way to one of the beds, gently putting her down before calling out.

"HEY! Who's in here? Anyone on duty?" If this new nurse made one wrong move, he was taking Lily straight to Raynor.

"Don't yell so loud," Lily mumbled. "Where are we?"

[Drew Thornton]

"Hospital wing," Drew answered, already searching through the cupboards for clean towels and anything to bring her fever down. Every nurse changed the stuff around a bit, but it was all basically in the same place and Drew knew his way around pretty well.

[selena]

"I am," Selena said, entering the room from her conjoining bedroom. She was quite awake - she had gotten quite used to being awoken in the middle of the night. Pulling on her bathrobe, her glance immeadiately went to Lily. "Goodness gracious poor child." She said. "Did you jump in the lake?" She tried to make light of it, but her face showed concern. She sat down on the stool next to the bed. "Goodness, you're burning up with fever." She stood up and returned shortly with a wet washcloth and a bottle. She poured some out into a little glass. She wasn't about to give it to her yet though. She laid the washcloth on Lily's forehead and spoke soothingly. "You're going to be alright little one," she said. "Do you know if you're allergic to anything?"

Allergic to something? Lily got slightly confused. What had Drew said? Oh yeah, hospital wing. "Only coconut," she said. It was a rather good thing that she didn't like coconut.

[Drew Thornton]

"You're the nurse?" Drew asked the woman. She had come in quickly and started working right away, but she was asking all of the right questions (in his mind at least) so maybe that was a good thing. "I tried to get her fever down."

[selena]

"The one and only," she said. "Healer if you want to be technical dear." She was up grabbing a different bottle and pouring some of that too. "What's your name child?" She asked her quietly, not wanting to force anything on her quite yet. It wasn't going to kill her if she waited a few seconds before giving her the potion. It was important that she trusted her enough to take it without being forced. In emergency situations it would be a bit different, especially if the student it pertained to was unconcious but it remained basically the same.

"Lily," she answered. The washcloth on her forehead felt nice and cool and now she definately wasn't moving. No matter what Drew said.

[Drew Thornton]

Drew grabbed a blanket and wrapped it around himself as he took a seat on a bed nearby. He was keeping an eye on this 'healer' waiting for any wrong move.

[selena]

"Lily honey," Selena asked, brushing a strand of Lily's hair away from her face. "Would it be alright if I gave you some medicine to make you feel better? I promise, no coconut."

[hermione7lunaroc]

Lily nodded and struggled to sit up. That made her kind of dizzy but she just wanted to feel better. She reached her hand out for the medicine, just wanting to get whatever awful tasting thing she knew it would be over with.

[selena]

"Here honey," she handed the glass to her. "Drink it all. I promise it will help."

Lily took the glass and began to drink it. She nearly gagged at the taste, but finished it anyways. She handed the glass back to the nurse and closed her eyes. She didn't expect it to work instantly, but she as sure as heck wished it did.

[Drew Thornton]

"What is that stuff?" Drew asked, frowning at Lily when she gagged at the taste.

[selena]

"Just something to get her over her fever. Always tastes awful I'm afraid. Poor thing," Selena said. "Probably didn't get much sleep tonight did you? I can give you something for that too. To help you sleep I mean. Would you like that dear?"
