The attack of the First Floor Swamp last year had nearly caused Raynor to blow a gasket. Especially when she found out what had been occurring with it. But, when the elves had moved in to clean what she had not made the group involve clear up, she had requested this section of it to be roped off and preserved. It was one thing that Reina Diablo had saved her the trouble with. And now that she actually evaluated the work, she gave the girl props. If the Slytherin put this much effort into school and studies, she might actually get better grades.
The floor right before the Professor's feet had been transfigured into mud and only an inch away everything else was a sluggish green water that gave off a slight odor. A few flies buzzed across its surface but all of the snakes and such that the Slytherin had added had been carefully removed when this was first taken care of. The only actual additions to it were a few treas here or there, just to add more authentic feel. Well, that and something else, but the second and third years would find that out in good time.
Shaking her head, Raynor turned her back to the swamp and clasped her hands lightly behind her back, ready for the students to show their shinning little faces.
(( Second and Third Years only unless you want to get caught for skipping class or points deducted for intruding on this one. ))

Ty made his way to the Defense Against the Dark Arts class room and noticed that the door had been locked. Seeing the note that the professor had left on the door he contemplated his options. Go to where the lesson was going to take place or skive off and hope that she didn't notice his absence. Would she actually keep her word and take role, was it worth a one on one with Raynor, the answers were probably and hell no. With his past run ins with the professor she was sure to notice that he was missing whether she took role or not. He guessed he better go and find the class.
Making his way down to flights of stairs winding through corridors he finally managed to find where Raynor had been talking about. It looked like a swamp, but wait hadn't they done the swamp creature last class. He distinctly remembered doing something with a swamp, but oh well, he was sure she had her reasons for having another swamp. Making his way over to where the professor was standing he stopped a few feet in front of her saying a quick hello and waited for the others to arrive.

Alright, so the note was a bit random, and a bit confusing by all regards. For Professor Raynor not to use her infamous classroom meant one of two things. Something good, something bad, or something unplanned. The woman was a mother now after all. Alright, so that was three things, no one ever said people could count properly.
As the girl approached the designated location, she noted quite quickly two things. First: It both looked and smelled like the Hinkypunk lesson. Bad memories. Second, and probably more importantly, the only other person besides Professor Raynor present was Ty. Sure, the ball ahd been many a months ago but the two had certainly had a major falling out between them that was slowly (she supposed) being repaired.
Her feet moved against her will, dragging the girl to just slightly behind him and to the right. "Hey..." The girl murmured in greeting, glancing at him briefly before focusing her eyes on the bog-like substance and of course Professor Raynor in front of them

Ty heard an all to familar voice coming from behind him. He hadn't heard that voice in a while, but all the same he didn't harbor any ill feelings towards Lianna. He had gotten over the Halloween incident a long time ago by telling himself that there was nothing really that he could do about it so he might as well drop the subject entirely.
Turning around he smiled and said, "Hey Lianna, how have you been," in a rather nice tone for their past experience together. This of anything should tell Lianna that he had put the past in the past.

Jynx headed up towards the second floor corridor. Reaching it he walked over to the door and read the note that was attached. I just came from there he thought with a groan turning back around and heading down the exact path that he had made on his way up there.
Coming upon the corridor where the note had said they were to have class he stopped momentarily taking in the swamp that was in the corridor. He wondered what they could possibly be doing this class period that would need a swamp, but also saw it as an opportunity to get Ty back for his mud throwing in the previous Defense Against the Dark Arts class. A smile coming across his face he walked over and stood next to Ty and Lianna. It was just to bad that Ty was standing so far away from the swamp it would have been so easy and tempting to push him in if he had just been a few feet closer.
Evil thoughts vanishing Jynx said hi to both Ty and Lianna. He actually got along quite well with Ty lately so he would probably refrain from pushing him in, well at least for now he would.

The note on the door had been quite a surprise for Matty, but all the same she slowly made her way down the stairs to the First Floor to their lesson. Smiling however, upon who she saw there, walking over to the group Matty smiled at the Professor before proceeding. Walking up behind Jynx though, she smirked before grabbing his shoulders and whispering in his ear, "Don't fall." Grinning and backing away from his presents, she then backed away before reaching the wall of the corridor, not to far away from the group lesson however.
The last lesson they had, also involved allot of slime, and boggy substance. Would the be learning about the evil creatures that lived in them again?

Jynx flinched a little as someone grabbed his shoulder. Looking back around he saw it was Matty and smiled. “Don’t worry. I have no intention of going in,” he said with a laugh, “and if I do I will make sure to take you in with me.” He was just kidding with her, he really had no intention of taking her in with him.
Watching as Matty found a place by the wall of the corridor he followed and took a spot right next to her. “Its funny you say that,” Jynx said in a low undertone smiling and trying not to laugh, “because as I walk up here I thought about pushing Ty in for pay backs from last lesson, but darn the luck he is just to far away to do it discreetly.”

As Jynx joined her at the wall, Matty smiled at his past comment. "Sure you would." she replied in a playfully tone. The listening to his later one, she snapped out her hand and poked him in the tummy. "Now don't do that, because if you fall in after him, you'll pull me in to, remember?" she said smirking at him. In their latest lesson, Ty had 'started' a slime fight by Jynx's thought, so it was obvious on why Jynx would think to do that. But because of his kindheartedness, she knew that he wouldn't do something like that... in front of a group anyway.
Although looking back into Jynx's blue eyes, she ginned thinking about what would happen if someone did fall in the slime.

How had she been? All around on the whole she'd been well, managed to get through the first half of Winter without getting incredibly ill, had a good Winter Break, received decent if not more so Christmas presents and got to celebrate both Christmas and New Year's with family before returning to the Hogwarts routine. Who at her age could ask for much better? Still, his question implied the ties she'd been hoping to mend but couldn't bring herself to actually speak to him about were mending, if not mended already. Such was good. Very good, one less thing to plague her mind.
"I've been alright I guess...not really liking the idea of another swamp lesson though..." The Huffle replied, her eyes making no motion toward the boy, instead searching the small swamp portion of the corridor for any sign of it suddenly expanding. The last thing she wanted was to lose anoher shoe. Or worse, lose BOTH her shoes. That would be a most cruel card to play from the deck of life.
Apprehensive of both the swamp as well as what the day's topic might be, Lianna took a pair of apprehensive steps back as an after thought.

“Aw how bad could it be,” Ty said smiling slightly and looking over to the swamp, “I am pretty sure that we won’t have to get any of it on us,” he continued seeing her take a couple of steps back.
Ty hadn’t remembered what had happened in the previous class to Lianna’s shoe all he thought was that she was being the typical girl and didn’t want the slime getting anywhere near her. The swamp really didn’t bother him all that much. Catching a bit of what Jynx was saying to Matty he cocked his head in their direction and gave Jynx a look that said try me.

“I wouldn’t fall in so I don’t see the implication there,” Jynx said laughing slightly with a smirk playing across his face. If he indeed were to push Ty in he would make sure that he didn’t go along with him so Matty had nothing to worry about. After all he would never really do it anyways especially with Raynor standing a mere feet away. If Raynor turned her back completely and Ty was right on the edge of the swamp maybe, but most likely that wasn’t going to happen especially after the look that Ty had given him telling him that he could overhear their whole conversation.

Kylie made her way up to the DADA classroom only to find out that class was being held one floor below. Turning around she hurried down to the corridor that had been posted on the note. She hoped that she wasn't late to the class because of the unforeseen detour she was having to make.
Approaching the corridor she cringed at the sight of the swamp ahead. Hadn't one swamp been enough for the year. Apparently not, because the closer she got she was sure that this was the correct spot for the class. Many of her classmates were already there and so was the professor. She made her way over to where the groups was congregated, setting her bag down at her feet.

Her first day of classes, and the Gryffindor was already being detoured. As she made her way from the second to the first floor, her thin legs carrying her as quickly as the second year's robes would allow in their over-sized state, Liz hoped and wished that she wouldn't get lost between the classroom and Professor Raynor. Being absent completely seemed a far worse thing than tardiness.
Sighing her relief when she noticed the group in the last corridor, just as the note had said, Elizabeth approached the group with caution, wary of both the swamp and of bounding onto the scene after the class had already begun. She wrinkled her nose as she got a closer look at the roped off mess, causing her glasses to slip down her nose. Reflexively, the (newly turned) thirteen-year-old pushed them up again with the pointer finger of her right hand.
Liz managed a smile when she recognized the girl, Kylie, she had met on Diagon a few weeks before now. At least I know somebody.
"Hi, Kylie," she greeted in a quiet voice, unsure of how kindly the Deputy would take to a lot of talking at this place and time.

Hearing someone say her name Kylie turned around and saw Liz. This was a pleasant surprise considering now she would have someone to hangout with in this class. She knew a couple of the other students but thought it would be a change to have Liz around. "Hey Liz," Kylie said smiling over at her. The deputy hadn't started class yet so she didn't bother to keep her voice down. "How was the rest of your winter break?"

Verina would be proud for once Jack was running late to one of his classes. Do to an unforeseen hold up when his bag split and his books and supplies went scattering everywhere Jack was now a couple of minutes behind schedule. Already mad at himself for not allotting extra time for such things he quickly made his way along the first floor corridor heading to one of the floors above and couldn’t believe what he saw. Was that a swamp and Raynor’s class standing there? Just his luck, he just hoped that maybe she hadn’t started the class yet or wasn’t aware of what time it was because he didn’t want to be caught out of class, especially a class that he was desperately trying to get to.
Stopping dead at the sight of the them Jack then tried to sneak his way over to one of the adjacent corridors that was right across from the group of students without being seen by any of them.
