Classes hadn't started yet and studying was probably the furthest thing from most student's minds... evidenced by the music floating through the hallways. It wasn't loud enough to be obnoxious, but it had gotten Drew's attention and he paused mid-stride to take a spin with the music. Obviously some Muggle-familiar kid had figured out how to rig his Ipod. The tunes were a mix of wizarding classics and some new muggle songs.
As a new Rob Thomas song played, Drew put aside his hallway measurements and sashayed down the corridor to the slow beat. It wasn't the toughest looking move, but it was fun.

In a very unusual way, Imogene had nothing to do. Odd, since she always found ways to entertain herself. Whether it be by reading, talking with people, or even napping. But today, was not that day. Today she actually, for once, was bored. Imogene, bored? It might sound crazy, yet it was true. So very true...
As she walked down the hall, only paying attention to her feet, she could hear the sound of music playing. It made her smile in a sense, but she did not look up from the ground. Though, she did stop walking. In her mind, Imogene was debating to look up or not, a bit afraid of what her eyes might meet. But of course, she had to look up, only to find someone practically dancing down the hallway! It was a bit of a surprise to Imogene, but didn't think it was all that strange. Still, she couldn't help but just stair at him for a moment, with no real expression on her face.

A slide... a turn... a quick step back just to go forward again. It felt like ages since Drew had been dancing, though it had only been a month since the Yule Ball. It wasn't considered very cool back home and no number of fist fights seemed to convince the guys otherwise. The only comforting thought was that very few of them had even had a date, much less kissed an actual girl.
He didn't notice his audience until he was right beside her and he stopped suddenly, just looking at her. "Hi," he finally said as a slow rush of red crept up his face. "I wasn't doing anything."

A very wide grinned shaped Imogene's red lips. In a way, it was very amusing to see someone just randomly brake out into dance. Though she couldn't really say anything. Imogene did this sometimes herself. Just randomly twirling down the hallway as she would go to her next class.
Still, she didn't want to laugh at him. It might have made him feel even more awkward then he must've felt already. So, she simply smiled at him. "Nice dance moves." Imogene was being a bit sarcastic, yet at the same time, being serious as well.

While a part of him was ready to insist he had been doing nothing of the sort, the bigger part of him was a bit riled that this girl he didnt' even know was teasing him.
"I suppose you could do better?" he asked, raising an eyebrow at her. He knew the odds were she probably could dance, but it was also probably something really girly like ballet or jazz.

"Y- yes I could!" Imogene said, a bit hesitantly. In a way, Imogene regretted saying anything at all. Now she might have to prove it to him, and Imogene wasn't the most out-going person in the world. Still, if he did in fact ask her to show off her own dancing skills, Imogene would do so the best she could. After all, she did go to ballet school for quite some time.

Drew bowed away, leaving the dance floor to her. He expected to see a bunch of flittering and twirling which, yes, technically was dancing, but hardly did anyone any good out in the real world.

In a way, Imogene gave him a death glare, but meant no harm from it. She confidently walked a little ways out into the hall, and turned to face him again. Imogene tried to think of something really quickly, but got an odd sort of idea. It wasn't entirely new, she had tried it before. Eagerly, Imogene began to dance. It was a cross between flamenco dancing, and ballet dancing. A little less frilly than ballet, but still powerful enough like flamenco dancing, which helped boost the graceful movements she showed. Occasionally, she would stand on the point of her toes, but not too often. She needed her ballet shoes to do that, with the help of the wooden blocks as well.
After only a few short minutes, Imogene had finished, ending with a split. Quickly, she stood up, and had a blank look on her face. "Um...tada?" She said, smiling softly.

She was pretty good, Drew had to admit, but it was still a bunch of fluttering to him. "Wait... that was it?" he asked, the tease evident in his voice as well as his eyes. "I thought a bee had gotten in or something."

Imogene's jaw dropped, but quickly closed again, as she gave him another death glare. "What?! No, a bee did not get it! And yes! That was i-" Imogene stopped her sentence short, as a bit of an evil grin appeared upon her porcelain-like face. "Well, I'd like to see you try it. Go on, it seems like you'd have no problems with it." Imogene said, crossing her arms, laughing jokingly in her mind.

"All right," Drew answered smugly and he held out his left hand to her. It was one thing to goof off on his own in the hallway, but to dance properly, he needed a partner. "You call it. I bet I can do it," he said.

For a moment, Imogene just staired at his hand, but looked back up at him. "You want me to dance with you?....Alright, fine." She responded, taking his hand. "So, what shall we do first?" Imogene found this quite amusing, and thought any random student walking down the hall would think so too. Just seeing two people randomly dance out of the ordinary in an unexpected place was quite funny to begin with.

"You call it," Drew told her again as he held her right hand shoulder height and placed his right hand on her waist. Four years of cottilion had to be good for something. The bigger and more important question is can you keep up? It's one thing to flit around on your own, but can you dance with a partner?"

"Flit around? Please, it's a lot more than that. And it's a lot harder than it looks. But that's not the point. Alright...I hope you can do the tango." Imogene told him, with a straight face. The tango was one of her favorite dances. Not many people she knew could do the tango, so it would be a wonder if he could dance it.
Sighing shortly, Imogene leaned her shoulders back a little, making them feel more relaxed. Her feet were ready to move at any moment, and she was practically standing on her toes in anticipation.

"You're talking a real tango, not that fake one people try to do, just walking back and forth, right?" he asked. A true tango was pretty difficult... and slightly suggestive. Not Drew's best, but definitely something he could handle.
