Imogene gave him a sort of 'not exactly' look. "Well, technically I'm not an orphan. I still have my brother. But he doesn't really understand what quidditch is, even if he is a wizard. He's got too many of his own problems to worry about." She wasn't entirely sure if her brother did in fact like quidditch. For the most part, she knew he didn't. The only other family member who liked quidditch, besides herself, was her father.
"Okay, Drew! This isn't going anywhere, now is it? So I say, we just forget about it, and move on."

"Are you kidding? I just danced a tango with you!" Drew answered back. "I think we know each other well enough that I can get a bit more information, don't you?" Truth was, he wouldn't push it much farther, but it didn't hurt to try.

Imogene made a pouty face, a tad annoyed that he had won. "Alright, fine. Sit down, this might take a while." She said, going over to the nearest wall, sitting down, and leaning her back against it.
"Let's start off with my family to get a better understanding. Shall we say, bad luck tends to follow my family everywhere." Imogene began.

Drew turned off his MP3 and trotted over to the wall, sliding down on his back to sit next to Imogene. "Like how bad?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. "I mean, like is it living under a curse bad, or just regular bad luck?"

"Living under a curse bad." Imogene said, sighing lightly. "Death and disease tends to follow my family. It started out with my brother Godfrey dieing of a disease. I can't remember what it was, I was very young when it happened. Then my other brother Charles died of a very bad case of pneumonia. My parents ended up dieing in an accident one night when they were coming home from this opera they went to. That only left my other brother, Robert, my sister and I. By then, my sister had gotten married to some man from Spain. She left the country to live with him in Spain, and didn't tell anyone. No one heard from them since. Robert and I lived with our aunt and uncle, until Robert was old enough to move out with me. He was much older than I was, since he was the eldest child. But, he wasn't exactly perfect. He had something wrong with his brain where he had an extremely low IQ level. He can't spell correctly, or talk correctly sometimes. So now, it's him, and me living in an apartment in London. His aid comes over every night and helps him. Lucky for me, nothing bad has happened to me yet. But yes, that's pretty much my life story." She explained, taking a deep breath at th end.

"Daaang..." Drew said softly after hearing Imogene's story. It was like everyone in her family had something wrong with them. He couldn't help but think how unlike his own family it was. "But... If it's a curse... a real curse, you can have it removed," he told her.

"Oh, it's not a curse. I was metaphorically speaking when I said curse." She explained. Sometimes, she wondered if it was just all one big coincidence, or if it really was a curse. Still, Imogene didn't believe in curses, so it couldn't have been that.
"And when I say I have to seem normal, I mean that I have to make it seem like the Hara family has nothing wrong with them, and that death doesn't follow us. Though I find it a little difficult to understand at times, I do think that it's just something that runs in the family. Good thing is, I'm quite happy." Imogene spoke cheerfully. She didn't want to make it seem like the end of the world, and knew that there was probably even worse problems out there.

"But... maybe it is a curse.... a real curse," Drew said, a little surprised she just blew of the suggestion so easily. "I mean, That's great that you're happy and I'm all for optomisim and looking at the bright side, but if you can fix it, why wouldn't you try to find the cause?"

A glum look washed over her face, as she got lost in thought for a moment. "That's just it. How could I fix it? I can't bring back the dead, nor can anyone else. My brother is progressing nicely, but at a very, very slow pace." She sighed again. "Maybe I'm in denial."

"Well, you can't fix what has already happened," Drew answered solomnly, biting his lip and sighing as he thought it out for a moment. "But at the very least, getting rid of the curse would protect you and hopefully help your brother recover faster."

Suddenly, Imogene felt rather stupid. Something just occurred to her that could've been suggested a long time ago. "I know. I'll date back my family history. I'll see if extreme illness and death were in any more of my family generations. That'll help a great deal." This made Imogene come back to earth, and her spirits were lifted slightly.
All she really knew about her family history was that on her mother's side, only her grandfather was living. Her grandmother had died of natural causes. On her father's side, both her grandparents had already died of natural causes. Her aunt and uncle were still alive, so the information she had was a start.

"I mean... I'm talking if it's really a curse curse," Drew added, worried he may have gotten her hopes up. Still, if it were his family, it would be worth taking a look into it. "I mean... maybe it is just coincidental bad luck stuff."

"That's what I said a while ago. But if it is indeed a curse, why would it be put under my family? Sure, we might have been wealthy and my parents knew many people. But who would they know who could come in contact with a curse?" Imogene thought for a moment, and came up with what seemed to might be a possibility, but very unlikely it wasn't.
"Or, somewhere, way back, a family member of mine could've been some sort of explorer. They could've gone to Egypt to study different tombs. When stumbling upon one, they must've opened a tomb without knowing a curse would be put on them if they opened it. And now, the curse is still going strong." Imogene had all doubts on this idea. After all, she did tend to have an over active imagination.

"A curse can come from just about anywhere or anyone," Drew answered, feeling the need to keep her focused if she was going to really take this seriously. "Maybe someone in your family made a bad business decision and someone decided to get even... or someone ate a malaclaw or something. You don't know."

"Which is exactly right. I don't know. Therefore, I should ask a relative. If there is a curse, then they'd be sure to know of it." Imogene wondered if she was really getting a head of herself or not. She had never thought of this as a curse, or anything like that. She always thought of it as a very big coincidence, and nothing more. Still, it was becoming more clear to her now.
"It could've been a business deal," Imogene began, "My father was very involved in gambling and the whole stock market thing. Maybe he cheated some one out of their money or something." She suggested, shrugging.
