First day.... first day of teaching.
The new Charms professor was indeed nervous that this was his first time ever teaching in a school. He tried to hide his emotions inside to make him not let people eat on his fear. He flickered around the classroom making everything perfect. He cleaned up the dust, without magic, from everything and lined the desks up neatly and perfect. Everything was ready for the students to come in.
On the board it said:
And he waited.

Another new professor.
Maybe one who didn't know?
Celina could only hope as much, especially when she read the board as she entered and it said that she actually had to speak with him. At least everyone seemed to have to. And at least, she yet again had gotten their early, to where it seemed no one else had bothered, for she was the only one in the room. She thanked Merlin under her breath, and her hands found themselves gripping tightly to the robes she wore, her bag of supplies slung over her shoulder like always.
Quietly, and avoiding eye contact at all costs, Celina slowly paced herself up to where the professor was. Without even waiting for his greeting, she spoke quickly, and softly. "Celina Jedynak, Year Five, sir..." then she turned and walked back to a desk in the furthest corner of the class. It was against a wall and as she sunk in her chair she leaned her head against the stone wall, wishing it was the chest of her brother....

Mick walked rather reluctantly into the classroom, his messenger bag nearly falling from his shoulders. Automatically he moved toward a seat in the back, put his bag down and moved to take his chair. However, just as he was sliding in he noticed the note on the board. Sighing slightly and rolling his eyes he stood up and approached the new professor.
"Mick Nolan, sir, fifth year." Though mildly irritated with this new way of starting class Mick spoke up and ended the introduction with a slight bow before returning to his seat. Once there he sat down, made sure not to slump and waited for someone he know to show up.

Hurrying on her way as she seemed to be doing more often than not, Felicity rushed to her Charms class. It wasn't that she particularly enjoyed the subject, actually, it was one she dreaded almost as much as she did Defense Against the Dark Arts. All wand classes were low on her descending list of subjects, but the two were the lowest on the chain. And there was a new professor yet again, and this one wasn't even the new Head of her House. Brady managed to get that position somehow.
Glancing around the room, her eyes were stuck on one person in particular in the room, someone who made her want to run to the Gryffindor Tower and find the comfort of the bathroom floor yet again. However, she couldn't, she was already dropping another class if Drew would agree with her, the blonde couldn't afford to lose another.
Focusing her eyes on the man in the room, she looked past him to read the board. Name and year? Wasn't it obvious they were fifth years? This was one of the only classes that hadn't been combined recently, so shouldn't the man actually be asking Name and House? That would make more sense.
Stepping further into the room, avoiding looking in the corner where the girl was, Felicity looked directly at the man. "Felicity Hjort, fifth year like all others in this class."
Turning around, she kept her light brown eyes on the floor and found a desk as far from Celina as she could. A seat up front and in the opposite corner of the room.

Learning to stop? What did that mean, Vanessa wondered to herself as she entered the classroom reading the board. She noted the blond and the dark haired girl again, as if they weren't in all of her other classes, but this time decided to branch out a bit. She wasn't usually social, but just because she took a seat near someone didn't mean they actually had to speak to her, right? Vanessa walked up to the Professor....Snow?....and said, "Vanessa Sanderson, Sir...fifth year" lightly and then went to the back of the room where a boy sat, taking a seat near him.
Vanessa smiled sweetly, but then turned away quick not saying much of anything else. It was just how social she could be at that moment, and so she studied the other two girls in the class. Opposite sides of the room again, and for some reason, Vanessa knew that was significant but couldn't for the life of her remember why. Randomly, she slowly turned to the boy and asked him, "Do you ever forget something really important....something you should know....but you just can't for the life of yourself, remember what....what you forgot?" She blushed a little at her bluntness, but couldn't help it. The question was eating at her....she'd forgotten something important....she just knew it.

Mick watched two girls enter the room. The first, he'd noticed in a few of his classes. It was hard not to notice her when the tension in the air increased ten-fold at her arrival. He figured it at something to do with the Ravenclaw that always shifted her attention to something else. He also figured it involved the takeover. But since Mick wasn't the prying type, and since he didn't really know either girl, he did his best to ignore the situation.
He was doing alright too, just paying attention to his textbook, doodling some words and fun curses in the margins. Suddenly a girl he didn't know, took the seat next to him. Mick quickly shifted over, wondering why this girl, a hufflepuff nonetheless, decided to sit next to him in a nearly empty classroom. She smiled at him, but all Mick could muster in return was a curious frown that said why are you sitting here?
He turned away, trying to focus on his important doodling. But she started to speak to him, ruining his chances of avoiding this new acquaintance.
"Er…" he started, sounding mildly frustrated, "why don't you get a remembrall?"

"They don't tell you anything except that you've forgotten something...." Vanessa sighed lightly, wanting so badly to take out of her bag that her books were in, the knitting that she badly wanted to finish. Maybe it would help her remember, and then again maybe it wouldn't. She looked over towards the boy and realized that it may have been silly of her to sit without asking. "I'm sorry..." she said, barely audible and looking away from the boy now. "Were you saving seats? I just don't know about getting paired up with either of them if we have to do something.....I...I..."
Vanessa said no more, just shrugged. Why she wouldn't want to be with the two other girls, she couldn't remember. Maybe she should get a remembrall....but as she had said, they only told one that he or she had forgotten something, not exactly what it was. But there was just some sort of feeling...Vanessa almost didn't feel safe.

Mick glanced back at her, wanting to respond with a rude Yea, I was saving it for someone, probably much more worthy of the chair than you. But he just didn't have the energy at the moment. Besides, she wasn't a bad partner, a little floopy but entertaining nonetheless.
He looked toward the other girls in the classroom, as Vanessa spoke to him. He turned toward Vanessa and before he could help himself he asked, "what's wrong with the pair of them?" So much for sticking with the angry quiet Slytherin in the back of the room.

Vanessa looked at the two girls and a chill ran up her spine. A scream heard, she turned towards the door, realizing there was nothing there. What was wrong with her? Vanessa didn't know, but she had a feeling it had something to do with her memory loss. "I'm no sure..." she trailed off silently as if not to be heard by the two girls. She looked at the boy and gave a coy smile. "Maybe they don't like each other?" she asked the boy, not knowing if he would really know the relationship between the two other girls in the class.
Looking at the girls again, Celina didn't look too well, and Vanessa remembered that she had met her. The other girl, however, she couldn't remember if she met her. Either way, neither one looked well. "Or....maybe they're sick....?" her tone hushed, she almost wondered if they would be mean to her if they heard her. Vanessa's hands nervously played with her robes, hoping that they wouldn't hear.
