Kile was exploring the castle, wandering around in hopes of stumbling upon something useful like as to where her classes were or half-hidden passages that might provide quick routs between classes. She was at it for about an hour before she realized that she was now just wandering without thinking or realizing where she was going.
This proved to be quite problematic seeing as she now did not know the way back; in front of her a long corridor and behind her a three way split, stairs going up on the right-side, a corridor in the middle, and a stair-way going down on the left hand.
“Darn Three-Dimension Defense Tactics!” Kile muttered furiously to herself, for that was what she had been so wrapped up in to have forgotten to look where she was going. She sighed and took the right-hand corridor behind her, she didn’t think she had been going up or down but she figured that the top floor would be the best place to start back. While she was walking she might as well entertain herself…so she started to get absorbed in her thoughts again.
Now she had been going down a real silent corridor, several in fact, so the sound of footsteps made her jump. Kile, being the klutz that she was, jumped and stumbled and fell into a suit of armor that promptly fell on her.
A small “Eep!” Escaped her lips as her arms through up above her head and rolled out of the way. Some of the armor stilled managed to catch her, which was slightly painful. She scrambled backwards and stared wide-eyed at the suit of armor as it began to reassemble itself then pushed itself to its feet and stood erect. Another “EEP!” slipped through her mouth as the thing glared at her.
The shock of the living suit of armor had surprised her so greatly that she forgot about what had made her jump in the footsteps. Kile was staring, slack-jawed, at the suit of armor so intensely that she didn’t realizing that the people or person had entered the corridor for several moments after they had.

"Watch it there," Noah said to the first year, seeing that she was having a hard time. He too had a hard time getting around Hogwarts. It was tough, and there was a lot to remember-- and it was tough when everything was always moving around. He put a hand on her shoulder and smiled at her.
"Are you okay? Are you lost?" he asked her, trying to be nice.
He noticed from her badge that she was a Gryffindor. He too was Gryffindor, and he was happy to see some new Lions out there. Kile had put quite a show on, and Noah hoped to spare her some embarrassment.

“Th-th-th-the armor moved.” Kile laughed, still slightly in shock. Then, recovering, asked, to herself more than the boy, “How’d it do that? It should be inanimate!” She shook her head slightly to clear it and focused on the situation at hand, she would have time to probe into the moving objects later.
“I’m fine.” There was still a hint of laughter in her voice. She rose to her feet and straitened her glasses. “Lost? Somewhat, I know my location and all that and could describe it rather well, but, yes, I don’t have the slightest hint as to where anything is. Um…I’m Kile.” She offered her hand to shake.

He grinned at her sheepishly and took her hand. It was so small... "Tuesday, er... what's your surname?" he asked her. Noah had a terrible habit of calling people by their last names. Mostly because he was raised to refer to people by the surnames because that's how they did it in football and such.
"So er... I'm guessing you haven't been here for very long, and you're muggleborn?" he assumed. He kind of felt sorry for the girl. "You'll get used to it in no time, there are tons of muggleborns here, and they manage well. Where are you from by the way?"

“Da’Jemes.” Kile told him, thinking it was a rather odd question. Must be a wizard thing she hadn’t heard of yet, she would have to investigate. “Is Tuesday you last name?” She paused for his answer before continuing. “Yes, muggleborn and this is my first day. I’m from London.”
(sorry for shortness and time delay of post, had to go do the dishes.)

"Tuesday is my last name, most people call me by that anyway," he said to Kile. "London, eh?" He was slightly disappointed-- so far he hadn't met a single person from Manchester. "So Da'Jemes, what class are you heading to? Maybe I can point the way?"
Noah knew how it felt like to get lost in such a huge place like Hogwarts. He wanted to help Kile as much as he could, to ease her stay here. It would take her a while to get used to it, but she was a Gryff and had a good head on her shoulders.

“Um, no class. I was just exploring, really. If you know the most direct rout back to a location I can head off of, like the great hall, well, I wouldn't mind that. Or the Gryffindor Dorms, I haven’t stumbled upon that yet.” Kile thought it strange that he thought she would be looking for a class even though it was winter break, then again she was new and it would be sensible to find all her classes now but then again classes might be offered as extra credit or make-up courses over breaks, she shrugged off the comment and smiled at him. She looked around the corridor before continuing, “So…how long have you been going to Hogwarts?"

"You haven't been to the dorms, and you're a Gryffindor?" Noah said in disbelief. "Da'Jemes, you need to get a move on things!" he said jokingly. "C'mon follow me," He pointed to the left, towards the statue of the three Travelers of Took. "It's right over there..."
As they made their way to the Gryffindor Common Room, he answered her question. "Well-- I was homeschooled for a while, but mum got tired of me and sent me here instead. I've been going here since... hmmm, about four months? It's my first year," he shrugged and shoved his hands into his robes pockets.
Noah preferred Hogwarts, but it did take a while to get used to. He had to admit that he did miss his family a great deal. "How long have you known that you were a witch? You seem really new..."

She laughed and followed. She listened to him with interest, her thirst for knowledge of this world was too great to pass up even a simple conversation at which greater things may be accidentally hinted at, but she also tracked where she was going. "I've know since before September when I got my letter, but this is like my first day here. I went to a very up-tight school and if I just suddenly disappeared they would want to know where I went, why I left, where they could mail my grades and all that cr**.” She told him as they walked. “So, are we almost there? Sorry if I sound impatient, I’m still kinda in an excited shock about being a witch." She laughed again.
