Procastination. It was the number one leading cause of death at Hogwart's School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Right behind not turning in homework and having to face the consequences ( which, unfortunately, turns out to be a giant pit of lava that you have to jump over, on the other side is a shiny gleaming 'O' mark, and just behind you would be your Professor, their eyes gleaming with annoyance and amusement as you attempt your jump across the lava pit. But I'm a wizard, you think. Why wouldn't you use your wand to cross the giant pit of lava and escape the wrath of your teacher? Well, the answer would be that your wand was taken, yes taken! )
Guy's head was swimming with just those thoughts (lava pit included) as he sat in an empty classroom just on the fifth floor. He had been in search of a quiet place to finish his several assignments that were due the next day. The common room hadn't been a good option because as soon as he walked into the room, books and parchment in tow, he discovered that there was apparently a game of Wizard's chess going on. Chess.. honestly. Guy thought with a shake of his head as he exited out of the room, hearing a pawn move to it's assigned spot and brutally slash the other pawn in half.
So he made his way down to the sixth floor. All of the rooms were either occupied, or too scary to go in alone. One looked like it hadn't been cleaned in year. It was pretty strange looking. So Guy decided on a nice, clean room on the fifth floor. It was okay looking, not too many things in it to distract him, but clean enough he wasn't worried about getting any of his things dirty. Guy tended to be a neat freak sometimes.
He sat on the floor up against a wall, several books laid out next to him, one sitting on his lap. He was hunched over, reading his scribble of notes in the margins of one of the pages as he heard someone walking towards the room. He glanced up, almost happy for a distraction. Not that he needed one.

"Is there no where in this castle that has a nice, clean room?"
Obviously not. Well, that was how Matty was seeing things. She had been searching for about twenty minutes for a sustained classroom that didn't have other people in it. There had been two rooms that were spoused up, but they were occupied, and Matty really wasn't in the mood for having to be in another room with strangers, trying to do homework. So, she had continued to look, going up the floors, level by level. She had already checked the library, but it seemed that there was a pressured air, and that was exactly what Matty did not need.
So the girl continued her adventure, clad in her arms a folder full of schoolwork. Charms, Runes and Astronomy dominated the pile, but there was a little bit of everything in there. Not all of it was due tomorrow, but within the next few days, and Matty thought ti might be an idea to get through it before she got too over whelmed. The Hufflepuff ventured up to the Fifth floor, passing a dark room. She considered looking inside, but there was still hope of a clean, light room. The Fourth year passed by a room, briefly glancing. She didn't see the boy propped against a wall inside, and proceeded to enter the room. Taking a few good steps into the room, she smiled. "Oh," she said, slightly embarrassed, realising there was another person inside. "Sorry, I didn't notice anyone else in here. I'll leave you to it," she tried to smile, backing out slowly, when her feet became entwined, and the girl tripped back, her work flying in strange directions. Landing butt-first, the girl cursed under the breath, rubbing her elbow, which she had bumped. After a second, the Huffle began to pick up her work, hurriedly trying to put it back in the folder before she made more of a fool of herself.
So much for studying today.

The ' Oh. ' caught him off guard. He had expected a ' hello ', perhaps a ' hi ' or even a ' hey ', but not an ' oh. ' He quirked his head slightly, tilting it as he looked up at the girl. She looked a bit younger than him. He couldn't really tell, usually Guy wasn't a good judge of exact age, just general guesses were all he could really manage accurately. As he was trying to remember the girl's age he remembered her name, and meeting her briefly before. By the looks of the folder she was carrying, she had a fair amount of homework to do, just as he did. She looked a little more focused though. Guy straightened the front of his faded gray hoodie as he glanced at the girl again. Matty was her name. She was a nice girl, if she was who he thought she was.
'Sorry, I didn't notice anyone else in here. I'll leave you to it,' Guy lifted the book off of his lap and stood up, not only to stretch out his legs but also to tell the girl that she could stay. " No, uhm, you can - " not fall? Guy finished the thought in his head as he watched the girl back away and trip over.. her own feet? There was nothing else for her to trip on, so he assumed it must have been that. He winced for her sake as she landed, it looked kind of painful. Guy moved forward, instantly reaching for some of the papers that had flown in the air when their owner was falling down. " Are you alright? That looked kind of painful. " He said, handing her a couple of pieces of parchment she had missed. " I'm Guy, by the way. And.. you don't have to leave. I mean, if you want to that's fine, but I was just about to take a break.. " He trailed off, giving the girl a chance to say something and to catch her breath a bit.

Matty sighed slightly. She must look like a total bumbling fool. 'Are you alright? That looked kind of painful.' The girl nodded, before adding "I'm alright, I've had worse," she said, before gently taking the pieces of parchment from him. "Thank you." It was another moment before he spoke again. 'I'm Guy, by the way. And you don't have to leave. I mean, if you want to that's fine, but I was just about to take a break.' Matty's green eyes looked up to the boy. "Guy? I think we've met before, a long time ago, but I'm pretty sure that name rings a bell." she gave him a small smile, before placing the rest of the papers in her folder. "Well, if you don't mind, I guess theres no harm in staying." Matty stated.
"I see you've been doing homework as well," she nodded to wards his books. "It seems as if everyone has the same idea." The Huffle held up her folder, before placing it on the nearest desk to her. "So your a sixth year... right?" the girl asked. If she was right, Matty had met him earlier last year, when she was a Third year, and she was quite positive that he was a Fifth year back then, so being a sixth year would make sense. The girl stick her hands into the pockets of her over-robe, the split down the front was un-done, reveling her school uniform. Really, she didn't like it, for their main colour was gray, and it was such a depressing colour, and didn't help those swinging moods teenagers had.

Guy chuckled slightly, he wasn't exactly sure why, but something was humorous to him. He just wasn't exactly sure what. " Yeah.. Oh, right! " He said, remembering meeting Matty for the first time last year. " You're Matty, right? " He said, questioning himself because even though he was pretty sure he was right, he still was positive. " And yeah. I've been trying to catch up on my stuff for a while now, and I think I need a break to be honest. " He shrugged a bit, putting his hands into his pockets as he walked over to one of the walls and leaned up against it.
" Yup, I'm a sixth year, yeah. You're a.. a... fifth year? " He took a not so wild guess of her year, and in a roundabout way, her age as well. She looked about fifteen as it was. He flipped his hair to the side and out of the way of his eyes slightly as he stared off into space and then brought his attention back to Matty. He absently flicked a piece of dust from his hoodie and said, " What homework did you have to finish? "

Matty smiled at the older boy. "Yep, I'm Matty alright." she said casually. The girl could recall meeting him, when in a Corridor if she was thinking right. The Hufflepuff didn't remember allot about the boy, besides the fact that he was rally nice. When Guy commented on his homework, the girl glanced down to hers. "Mm, it really catches up on you if you leave it for a while, hence the folder I'm carrying around." she said with a small smirk. The girl followed his actions, noticing him lean up against the wall. When the Gryffindor commented on their years, she shook her head politely. "Not quite yet, I'm still a Fourth Year." she smiled. 'What homework did you have to finish?' The Huffle glanced back at her work. "Well, it's mostly Charms, Astronomy and Runes. Just papers and reports and stuff. But theres a few other things to finish off in there," she sighed. Matty then studied his books. "How about you?"

" Right, right. " He said once she confirmed the name, he remembered meeting Matty last year or a while back, some time ago, he couldn't really remember exactly, only that they had met and he remembered her. She was nice if he remembered correctly, so that was always a plus.
" I hate homework.. It eats my soul.. " Guy trailed off, not realizing he had actually said that until he started laughing at himself. Once he had calmed down he said, " Er. Sorry. I mean.. I don't like homework. A lot. " He grinned sheepishly, then went back to the topic of what year she was in. " Oh, okay. I was close, then. " He said with a polite nod of his head. " Jeez, you took runes? I could never really get into it too much. " Guy mentioned once she listed off the homework she had to finish up. " I can't remember. Transfig, and Herbology I think. A couple of others. " He said, glancing back over to his books on the floor. He really was having terrible memory today.

Matty simply nodded and smiled to the boy as he did indeed confirm her name. 'I hate homework.. It eats my soul..'['i] The Huffle couldn't help but giggle at the boys comment. It was cute that he thought homework could actually eat his soul. Well... in a creepy way anyway. The girl smirked at him, before added to what he had said. "Yeah, homework sucks allot. Especially runes," Matty stated, after he had finished the comment about that blasted subject. "I honestly don't know why I took it. I guess it was because it was different, and no one I knew was doing it, which made things interesting." she shrugged to herself. "Mmm, Herbology I'm not bad at. But Transfiguration is a pain, I can never seem to concentrate enough." Matty sighed. "Whats your favourite subject, Guy?" she questioned him, pushing up the sleeves of her robes.

Guy grinned sheepishly at Matty's smirk at his comment of homework eating his soul. He was still mentally berating himself for saying something that a complete nutter would say, but he shook it off. At least she seemed to find his comment a little funny.
" Oh, yeah. My classes aren't very interesting right now. I imagine runes would be something different.. I don't really know much about it. " He told her with a half shrug then listened to the Hufflegirl as she started talking about some of her classes again. He nodded along as he listened, agreeing that transfig was a pain. He liked the class, but at times it was a lot harder than he would have thought it would be. He mulled her question over before answering, " My favorite subject would have to be.. lunch. " He grinned jokingly and rolled his eyes at himself before going on. " Nah, seriously though I like charms. It's pretty fun most of the time. " He liked Herbology as well, but charms had always been his favorite.
