Xander looked at his students and counted them off, this was a good number already. He might make the next lesson on the classroom after this, there would be enough for it on the next lessons. He put the scepted down on one of the crates near him and then he walked over to another crate and took out a sword, "This might look like an ordinay sword, but trust me... It's not. Now this sword is what Roman wizards used then, the difference with this and a normal sword is..." he took out the sword from his case and leaned it on the wall for them to see "It's core is on it hilt" he pointed at the vine like design on it. "That it the core of this sword, it is enchanted to look like metal, but it is actually the hair of a griffin. Other's have a hilt that it shaped like a large feather os scaled." he explained.
When Xander stood up, he saw a student on the door. Late, ofcourse. "Come in, come in. You aren't too late yet, my boy." he said, ofcourse he assumed that he would be the last one or maybe not. "Well that it how the Romans use magic, through their swords. That is for the roman soldiers though, there are different instruments used by other roman wizards. It will be shown in the projection, I just showed you this, because it is not shown there" he said.

Celina smiled at Connor as he greeted her in return and she couldn't help but feel ten times more secure within the class. Yes, there were more students this time, for Professor Griffiths had waited a while longer for students to appear and for that, she too was thankful. At least she now could report back to Alfonz that the classes were going better, which she hoped would make him a bit more secure. After his small tussle with the professor, Celina asked him not to return to the man for anything, knowing that it was mostly her fault that he had to begin with. She had thought she forgot her Ancient Runes stones in his classroom, not her textbook, and Alfonz had heard her all wrong. Either way, it had gotten him hurt and Celina would never forgive herself for that. The guilt was too much, and weighed heavily on her.
Taking notes, she yawned, covering her mouth as she did so. She wasn't bored, on the contrary, quite interested, however, she hadn't been sleeping very well because she'd been strategizing ways that would make her look better in the eyes of the Head Mistress, believing that she picked who the next Head Girl would be... Celina had to get it. Her life as a Jedynak depended on it. She sighed, leaning over slightly, finding herself comfortable against the Slytherin boy whom she sat next to. She wasn't laying all over him, or mauling or anything of the sort. Just connecting slightly, as if to keep him as her comfort, and to keep her from falling asleep right there in class.
When Griffiths brought out the sword, her body tensed just slightly before Tristan walked in. Celina looked behind her and smiled at the Gryffindor, wishing that his co prefect partner was in the class as well. Turning back she rose her hand. "Professor Griffiths, are you saying that their swords were like our wands?" Celina asked, quill at the ready to write down exactly what the man said.

Josh hurtled up the stairs, taking them three at a time where he could. He really didn't want to be late to class and he had completely forgotten this was going to be a "special" class for the N.E.W.T students. He hadn't been to the professor's office before, so adding to the fact that he was in a panic because he was late, Josh was in a panic because he didn't know where he was going. Finally, however, Josh saw a door in front of him and another student going into it. The Hufflepuff pushed his legs harder, but slowed himself as he entered the room.
"Sorry, Professor," Josh apologized, out of breath with flushed cheeks.

Seanna was listlessly listening to the Professor ramble on about Roman History, but only to find out it was much like what she had learned in the notes the last time she was here in the office. Though, the Huffle girl hadn't really paid that much attention to the tome and Roman History that time, she kept getting distracted by the conversation that the two Professors were having at the time.
Then, when Seanna had actually tuned her brown eyes back to the projection tome, she found she had missed bits and pieces of vital information, so she was glad that she actually remembered to come to this class. Especially the stuff about the swords and the way the romans wizards used magic through them, that was pretty cool to know. Jotting that piece of information down in her notebook, the class was interrupted by a few late arrivals and Seanna's brown eyes looked up to see who the students were.
A Slytherin walked in that she didn't know, followed by Tristan and then a Hufflepuff, that she didn't really know that well either, but knew his name was Josh. Giving the Gryffindor a smile, Seanna turned her brown eyes back to her notebook, adding some doodles to her page while she waited for the class to continue.

Connor looked a bit impressed as he watched Griffiths pull out a sword from one of his crates. Not only was it interesting, but like most teenage boys, Connor found weaponry a rather entertaining topic. He wrote down a couple of notes, little important facts that the man had mentioned out loud to them as he talked about the sword. Now that he was actually sitting down in the lesson and paying attention, Connor realized that he was actually interested in what the man was telling them. Again, he felt guilt swell up inside of his as he remembered walking out on the class in the first place. What a mess that had been.
He gave Celina a small smile as she leaned against him slightly. Turning to look at the two new arrivals, Connor gave them each a slight nod in greeting. He didn't know either of them all that well, but figured he might as well greet them all the same. One, the Gryffindor, was Tristan, a seventh year... And the other boy... a Hufflepuff perhaps? He looked familiar from Connor's classes so he assumed he was a sixth year as well. Josh, or some other ' J ' name, he was sure of it. His attention turned back to the professor.

Xander smiled at Celina as she asked the question, he nodded at her. "Correct, the swords were being used just like a wand. But not all wizards in Roman times used these, some use wandless magic and other things. Such as this." he explained, pointing at the projection where a few villager wizards were exchanging boxes, rocks and crystal balls. "They have many ways of using them. Now, I better return this to the crate and secure it again. I don't want my family going after my head if something happens to this family heirloom." he said, chuckling. He picked up the sword and placed it back in the crate where he took it from.
Xander spun around when a student came in, then he nodded and stayed quiet to let the students watched the projection.
