Sergei was sitting in the office of Juan Marcos, the Astronomy teacher and only resident vampire in Hogwarts. He was in there for a reason, as he wanted to converse and maybe ask a few questions. While walking around in the office, he was surprised. the walls were bare, the lighting dim, and there was a single table and chair in the room, aside from various boxes in one corner.
Being the curious type, Sergei had checked the contents of one of the open boxes, and found it to all be stuff, decorations, all with a Spanish look and feel. he was tempted to go through some of the other boxes, but refrained, as he knew the vampire would not be happy at all... If he ever came to his office.
Sergei sat in the chair and sighed, counting the tolls of the large clock in the great hall. Nine... Ten... Eleven... Twelve. It is midnight, and I am quite sure he doesn't have any classes this evening... where could he be?
Rubbing his eyes, he took something out of his pocket that he had found earlier that day. The object was a strange looking rose, blood red, the edges of the petals and thorns slightly serrated. It had come from a student who claimed his parents had sent him a rare flower that could kill Aztec vampires. Of course, on further questioning, The child revealed that he had no idea what an Aztec vampire was and for some reason, gave Sergei the flower. It was a curious looking rose, but something didn't seem right about it, there seemed to be some kind of hidden power inside the flower...

Juan stalked moodily towards his office on the sixth floor. He had been out all night, attempting to find some form of nourishment, but had met with little success. The Forbidden Forest had proven pointless because of some centaur gathering that forbid the entrance of any outsiders. London was far away and it had taken him some hours to reach the vampire blood bank, only to find that it was unaccessible due to the picket line of anti-vampire protestors. The professor figured a good deal of that rallying had been his fault for joining the wizarding school.
And so, the vampire had returned to Hogwarts unfed and to put it plainly... rather cranky. Now he was heading straight for his office to collapse into his chair and figure out where to go from here. As he rounded the corner, he heard a soft sound coming from where he was sure his office was. It sounded like... breathing. Certainly an abnormal thing to be occuring in his office. As he reached the entryway, Juan saw that the door was clearly ajar and someone was seated comfortably at his desk.
It was Sergei Thanatos.
This was the last straw. He'd warned the man not to cross him. Juan was usually a rational man. Vampires didn't survive long without some sense of calm, cool and collected reserve, but this was one insult too many. He'd allowed the man to insult him, appear in his class despite his warnings and objections, but he would not, could not allow him to simply waltz into his private office whenever he so wished.
The professor walked in with a calm and slow heel to toe motion and closed the door silently behind him before bolting forward, quick as a flash and appearing behind the auror. He grasped the back of the chair lightly and with the slightest of motions, pulled it over backwards. The man and the chair landed on the ground with a crash that echoed in the bare spartan room.
The vampire knelt on the ground, fangs bared and close to the man's face and said in a low toneless voice, "How far, senor, do you intend to push my limits?"

Sergei looked up when Juan came in, and realized that he might not have picked the best of times to be sitting comfortably in the man's private office, in the only chair in the room... So he did the only reasonable thing. "Uh... would you like your seat back?"
Sergei looked right back at the vampire, but after trying not to laugh, (not because it was funny, but because... he's a senile old man) he decided to just get up. "I'm terribly sorry, but i have two things that might be of interest to you. One, is right here in my hand. the other" he reached into his pocket and pulled out something that one would normally get at a blood bank, one designated for vampire use. "is right here, and on its way to you, if you would like to catch it." He lightly tossed the package to Juan, and summoned himself an extra chair, which he promptly sat in.
"now now, don't be too angry with me. I may well be able to prevent someone from getting a rather large thorn stuck in them." He held up the Blood Rose, (thinking he was ) knowing full well what it was, and what it could do to the angry vampire who was still glaring intensely at him with thoughts and intentions to kill...

"No I do not want it back. You've defiled it with your very presence," he commented coldly and then tossed the packet back to the man, "And I don't do charity. Especially not from you."
Juan walked stiffly back to the door and flung it open. The door hit the wall with a resounding crash. He was sure that everyone and anyone on the sixth floor would have heard it, but he didn't care. He yanked the chair out from under the senile auror and flung it into the hallway. From the sounds of it, the chair hit the opposite wall and splintered. Then he rolled his wheeled spinning chair into the hallway by giving it a slight push.
"Get out of my office, now," he said, glaring at the blood rose in Sergei's hand instead of directly at his face, "And burn the chair. I don't want it now that you've touched it."

Sergei sighed. Sometimes, trying to make people happy just wasn't worth it. (senile fool) He shrugged, cleaned the mess of the chair that he had been sitting in and took the rolling chair. Pulling out his wand, he lit the chair on fire and watched it burn for a little before just transfiguring it into a frog.
he looked back up at the vampire and shrugged. "Ah well... I guess I'll just go home and.. be senile." He laughed a bit to himself, turned, and began to walk away. However, he had his wand out, and behind Marcos, the ignored blood pellet zoomed straight at the back of the vampires head with a magical speed, not enough to hurt (if it were aimed at a mortal), but it would be like getting hit with a grape or something. Laughing, he quickened his pace, the blood rose completely forgotten in between the enraged vampire's feet.
