Guy felt a bit like an errand boy, running all over London and getting things done. For the first few hours of the day he made his way throughout muggle and wizarding London, on a search for a gallery his father had wanted him to check out. The only problem being that his father was extremely vague on details and couldn't remember if the art place happened to be in the muggle district or the wizard district of London. It was a bit nerve wracking, but after an hour or so of going to various galleries he managed to find it despite his dad's lack of directions.
The nineteen year old picked up several portraits for his father, making sure they were wrapped carefully and put into plastic bags so they wouldn't be ruined on the trip back over to the shop. The next stop was a local music store to pick up some papers to distribute around the neighborhood. After that it was around one o'clock in the afternoon, and as Guy's dad didn't expect him back until two or so the young man decided to stop for a drink. It was, afterall, his day off from Weasley's shop, and he figured he might as well do something for himself while he was out and about.
Guy used his free hand not carrying the paintings to lift up the hood on his sweatshirt, letting the cool October wind blow past him as he walked across the street. He let himself into a quaint little muggle tea and coffee shop, glad to get out of the rushing wind. He scanned the area and spotted an open table towards the middle of the room, quietly making his way over to the table he set the portraits down in one chair, leaving two others open at the table. He shrugged his jacket and hoodie off before making his way over to the register and ordering area. " Hi, can I get a medium vanilla cappuccino? Thanks... " He paused a few seconds, having forgotten which pocket his muggle money was located in, and upon remembering paid the woman and moved to the left, waiting for the arrival of his drink.
Guy looked around the room, unconsciously aware that he was looking for someone he knew. He didn't see anyone but was distracted by the fact that his coffee was ready. " Thanks again, " he offered a small smile and moved on his way. Upon turning to get to the table he almost collided with a figure, barely managing to keep his hot drink from being spilled. " Omph, sorry mate. "

It was hard to say what ran through Luce's mind on her day off work. Mind you, this only happened once in a blue moon, but on those special days, none of her thoughts were recognizable as being English. Being an intern at St. Mungo's hospital could never be regarded as being relaxing, easy work, but Luce had found herself breezing through it now, she was finally beyond the level that she was expected to be at. She was only 20 years old, but she could see that the world was finally being readied for her, or more so, that she was adjusting to life without her parents at every step.
"Dry cleaning, library, book store, groceries..." Luce muttered to herself, mentally ticking them off her list as she did so. She had a ready mind like that, she could think things to herself that only she could understand and remember, but she found it even easy to say them aloud. Her hair pulled back into her a pony tail, Luce brushed a few loose strands of hair back, before adjusting her jacket.
She wore a pair of white shorts, with a simple pair of converse sneakers. Luce never really dressed up, she wasn't one to try and look better than was possible. She knew that if she was always striving to look the best, she'd always be disappointed with all those days, and she really didn't want that. It was easier just to be comfortable, besides, she really was a tomboy at heart.
Glancing into a coffee shop, as she saw the line slowly get shorter, Luce quickly ducked inside. She didn't have many more errands to run, she'd be fine to get a coffee. Besides, she needed the caffeine hit. As the person in front of her received his coffee and turned to exit the shop, Luce hadn't really been paying attention to the boy. Shuffling the books that she held in her hand, as if sensing that something was going to happen, Luce felt the boy push into her, before hearing the sound of books on the ground. Looking up at the boy, her face turning a light shade of pink, Luce ducked down to the ground to get her books, trying to hide the color of her face from the boy that she knew absolutely nothing about.

Grace was never really something that Guy had been blessed with. He wasn't the type of person who could maneuver around things, or people, with ease and confidence. He was tall, a bit lanky, and usually felt a bit awkward when things such as this happened. Upon realizing that the person he had nearly mauled over was a young woman, a very good looking young woman at that, his cheeks felt as though they were on fire and turned a nice deep pink. Trying to save himself some embarrassment he too knelt over and began to gather some of the books he had caused to fall on the floor. Balancing his coffee in his one hand he straightened himself into a standing position and held out the book to the woman.
" I really am sorry. " He offered a smile, feeling a bit incompetent. He noted that she looked around his age and began to dig back in his brain to remember if she had gone to Hogwarts with him. He didn't recognize her face, and he was almost certain that if she had attended school with him, that he would have been able to recall a girl such as her.
Guy cleared his throat, shuffling back a step to give her some room. " How about joining me for a cuppa coffee, then? I feel I owe it to you for almost knocking you over. " He grinned as he motioned towards the table he had already claimed for himself.

Luce used to be confident. When she had been going to Beauxbatons, she was as loud and bubbly as the next person. It wasn't that she had personally changed, moreso that her surroundings had dramatically changed. It was a different scene to the place that she had called home for so many years, and even after two years of living in the real world, she hadn't yet grown used to the pressure that it put on her. Something that made Luce self concsious was her accent; it made her feel so out of place, and consequently, Luce usually held back unless she was spoken to.
Smiling at the boy as he helped her pick up the couple of books that had fallen to the ground, a feeling of relief swept through her as the temperature in her cheeks dropped. Nodding slightly, her accent holding her back from happily expressing her thanks. As the boy apologised again, his smile showing that he was only her age, as she looked at him properly for the first time, Luce smiled. "Thats okay. I really should 'ave been paying more attention."
"Uhh." She said, loosening her right hand from the books to check the time, Luce tilted her head on the side. "I'd love to." She spoke simply, decided that she had enough time to relax with a cup of coffee, and having company made it all the more enjoyable. Glancing over at the table, Luce grinned once again, flashing her teeth this time. Boy, she wished she was not french.

Guy could feel his red cheeks lessening to a slightly lesser version of the color - a light shade of pink. He felt a little bit more at ease once the woman started talking to him, he was almost afraid that he had scared her off by running into her and knocking the books out of her arms. He instantly recognized her accent as being French and smiled slightly, it made her seem all that more interesting to him. Guy's own accent was British, but when he said things particularly western such as ' dude ' and ' man ' it was easy to tell that he had at least spent some time in the U.S.
" Nah, s'alright. I'm generally a space cadet as is, place a coffe in my 'and you're asking for disaster. " He grinned slightly, showing that he had meant no harm and was glad she didn't think he was a loon or something. He really didn't pay much attention to where he walked, and when he tried it generally didn't end very well either.
Guy nodded his head, glad to hear that she would join him. He still felt rather bad about the little incident but was relieved she wasn't holding it against him. " Alrigh' then, why don't you grab your drink and I'll be at the table? " He offered another smile before turning and making his way to the table. Once he reached it he pulled out the spare chair for the woman and took his own seat across from her. He set his coffee mug down on the table, cupping it into his hands to absorb the warmth.

Luce wished that she could have disappeared right at that moment. The unnatural pink in her cheeks was reason enough, but there were many factors influencing her wish. Her mind drifted back to the day that she had gotten her license to apparate, and Luce had to hold her self back from taking herself to another part of the world. She was sure that this guy would be nice, it was her intuition telling her that, but Luce was still scared that he would resort to making fun of her accent. It just happened so many times.
Smiling back to the boy, as he finished his statement with a grin, Luce was happy that he wasn't angry at her. Luce was prone to accidents, she wasn't the most graceful or held together person. Nodding, her mouth slightly open, Luce turned to face the counter where the waitress was almost definitely waiting for her to place her order. "Flat white, cheers." She said, her hand reaching into her pocket, pulling out a couple of coins that were weighing her pocket down.
"Thank you." She said, taking the coffee into her hands, the warmth spreading up her arms, making her smile. Luce handed the money to the lady, before spinning around to search for the boy. Immediately the thought of him running away sprung to mind, though the fire was quickly put out as she spotted him sitting at the table. Wandering over there, a smile evident on her features, Luce sat down on the chair that had been pulled out from where it would usually sit, whether or not for her, she did not know.
"I'm Luce." Sure, it was simple, but Luce was always one to get to the point.

The nineteen year old began thinking that maybe this day wouldn't be as boring and tiresome as he had predicted. Granted he had no idea who this woman was, it was still sure to be more entertaining than spending the afternoon alone until he returned to his dad's shop. He waited at the table for her, tapping his fingers lightly on the table as he sat. Even though he had a job now and was still helping out at his dad's place he hadn't let himself forget his music. He still took the time to jam whenever he had a spare few minutes, although he had been practicing less and less lately.
It bummed him out to know that he didn't have as much time to spend just playing music, but then again he guessed it was part of growing up. Guy was so distracted by his thoughts that he was a bit surprised when the woman sat across from him a few short seconds later.
" Hi, Luce. I'm Guy, nice to meet ya, " he smiled a small smile and lifted his mug of coffee in greeting. " You uh, look familiar. Did we attend school together? " He quirked his head to the side, curious. Guy knew she hadn't gone to school with him, but it was a start. And then there was the topic of whether or not she was a muggle. He could care less if she was, but it did help to know for conversation topics.

Rapping her hands gently on the side of the cup, Luce couldn't help but be nervous. She didn't think this boy would bite, no, but he was new to her, and she had no idea what he was going to be like. The offer to sit with him obviously created hope that he was nice, but Luce could never be sure. It felt weird to meet people out of a place that revolved around magic. The chances of this boy being a wizard... well, Luce didn't like the odds. It wasn't a huge concern, but it would be nice to think they had something in common before they had even said a word to each other.
Having left Hogwarts, Luce really missed her friends. It was so much easier to get to know people within the walls of the castle, and Luce had struggled to make new friends once she had left. Truth be told, most of her mates from Hogwarts had gone on to bigger and better things, whereas she was still stuck doing her internship at St. Mungos. Some might consider that to be a good thing, but Luce felt like she was stuck in a rut. She needed a social life, it was a part of her.
Smiling shyly as the boy introduced him, Luce too lifted her cup up, following the boys actions. "Oh, no, I doubt that. I went to, uh..." She said, stopping to cough. "Erm, boarding school." Luce continued, though it was rather suspicious. Smiling so she didn't look totally guilty, Luce lifted the mug up to her lips to take a sip. Maybe she had said too much, Luce didn't know.

Being in muggle places didn't upset Guy, some of his family weren't magical, so he was used to being around non wizarding folk, he usually just liked to know who he was around to know if he should keep his trap shut or is he should go ahead and talk about things like the Ministry and Hogwarts. He felt a little lame having to fish for a reply instead of just asking her, but if she happened to be a muggle then asking, ' You don't happen to be a witch, do you? ' would probably cause her to think he wasn't all there in the head.
" Boarding school? Oh, uh, same... Boarding school. " He nodded his head as though trying to convince her. " I actually went to a place called Hogwarts. " If she was a witch then she would know for sure what Hogwarts was, he hadn't seen or heard of a wizard or witch who didn't know of Hogwarts, as it was one of the three greatest schools in the land. If she was muggle then she might think he had attended a place with an odd name, which was true either way.
Guy wondered if he was overthinking the whole thing and drank again from his coffee to see what would happen.

Smiling towards the boy as he mentioned that he too had gone to boarding school, Luce couldn't help but wonder what a muggle boarding school would have been like. It wouldn't have been anything like Beauxbatons or Hogwarts, the two schools that she had attended to learn her magic, but Luce knew it would have been just as good. Okay, so maybe it wouldn't have been as good, but she was sure that the people that went like would have liked it, right? As her mind drifted from one topic to the next, she barely caught the boys next words, though she was quite glad she did.
Did he seriously just say Hogwarts? How could he possibly know about Hogwarts? It took a couple of minutes for the fact that the boy was magical to click inside Luce's head, and she couldn't help but grin as she realized what exactly he had said. "Did you just say...? Are you serious? You... went there?" She said, probably looking stupid for her inability to finish a question.
"I mean, I went there too." She said, nodding, her grin forming an excited shape. It wasn't every day that you met someone that was magical in a muggle environment. What are the odds, really?

Guy hovered over his cup, letting the warmth hit his face. He welcomed the feeling, although it made it a bit difficult when he nearly spilled his cup trying to set it down as he heard her words. " You don't think I'm good enough or something? " Guy didn't really think about his words before he said them, and he ended up sounding a bit offended. " I mean... " He trailed off a little, wondering if he had ended up offending her in the process. After hearing her next comment, though he grinned.
In his haste to make assumptions he hadn't really caught what she had said. ' I mean, I went there, too. ' He laughed for a few seconds then lowered his voice. " I mean... Really, you too? That's... awesome. I was worried. I mean, not that I have anything against them, but I wasn't sure. " His words came out in a rushed order, and he hoped she could make sense of them.
" Wow. " He grinned again, feeling like he and Luce were in on a secret joke that no one else got.

It was weird to think that this boy had gone to the same school as her, and with all the muggles that were surrounding them, she managed to bump into... well, someone like her. It was almost reassuring, to think that she wasn't the only one that liked the muggle atmosphere. She didn't really know what to think; this guy couldn't have been lying to her, because of the fact that muggles didn't know about Hogwarts, but Luce just couldn't believe it.
Smiling back at the boy, lifting her hands up to rub her eyes in disbelief, Luce was happy that they had something in common. She was glad that the boy mentioned what school he had been to, other than that, there wasn't many other ways to know about the special talent, what with all the secrecy and all.
"Yeah," She nodded, trying to get her head around what the boy had said. "Well, um, how long ago?" Luce asked, whether or not she would know the boy from school, whether they had gone at the same time. She had a feeling that the boy was a bit younger than the girl, but only just.

Guy was rather glad he had tried to casually mention going to Hogwarts, it just proved that they did have something in common after all. He was sure that they would have come up with something eventually but them both being magical was a big part of everything. He didn't really know what the odds were of running into another witch or wizard when you were surrounded by muggles, but he was kinda glad he had literally ran into the woman. He drank from his cup, feeling warmer now.
" Oh I graduated last June. How about you? " He was curious now to know if he should recognize her from atending classes together or from just out and about in the wizarding district of London.

Lifting her mug up to her lips to take a sip, Luce smiled at what the boy had said. He was a year younger than the girl, as she had graduated the year before. She wondered what the boy did with himself, whether he had taken a job in the muggle or the magical world. Luce was quite a curious person, but she found herself holding back all the things that she wanted to ask, for no particular reason. As she placed the cup down, her finger sliding around the circle that was the rim, Luce smiled once again.
"The year before last." Luce wasn't sure whether or not she should recognise the boy; depending what house he was in, depending what classes he took. She wanted to know, she just didn't want to have to find out. "What house were you in?"

Guy smiled over his cup, wondering where this girl had come from. She appeared to be kind of timid but he wasn't really sure why. He sipped slowly from his mug, enjoying the drink and finally draining it down to the last dregs. He set the cup down gently on the table but kept his hand wrapped securely around it for warmth. " Year before last? That would make you about twenty eh? " He paused then laughed softly, " Sorry, forgot it's rude to ask a woman how old she is. Forgive me? " Guy's dimples appeared on his cheeks as he grinned at his small joke.
" I was, still am I guess, a Gryffindor. How about you? " He could usually guess what house a person would belong in, but he didn't really know when it came to Luce.
