It had been a while since Meg was truly excited for something. It wasn't as if she never had fun, and it wasn't as if she'd never been to a party, but this was going to be with a group she hadn't seen in years. It was almost like stepping into a previous life, if she'd believed in reincarnation.
The club was hardly closed for the night, but Tuesdays had never been a huge draw at Wicked Times. Besides, Meg had worked it all out with Carlos, the "deceased DJ", that Hiro and his friends would have control over requests and such. Carlos was the most easy-going ghost Meg had ever known, and she thought he was brilliant.
There was a backroom that could be used as a sort of headquarters for the party, even if just to get away from the pounding music. Food and beverages were all ready there. Now all she was waiting for was the crowd to show up.
{Closed...ish. PM Hiro or me to ask about getting in!}

Hiro couldn't exactly say why he hadn't gone in yet, it's not like he wouldn't know anyone when he went in. Meg was nice enough to throw him this party and it had been a long time since they talked face to face. He knew there was a lot to talk about and he shouldn't miss the chance but he continued to wait outside. There was really no reason to be nervous about talking to her it's not like she held a grudge or anything.
Still he stood outside the club waiting for at least one guest to show up and encourage him to go in.

As soon as Charlie was long gone and into Knockturn, she could finally breathe just fine. It had been a few hours only since she had previously gone out, but being in Chris's flat was turning out to be excruciating. She had had the plan to stay over at his place instead of going the full run at her father's, except it turned out to be just as bad of an idea. Chris was intensely involved with his girlfriend Shary, almost to the point that it seemed her used to distract himself from his little sister. He too had felt the same change and shame that came with Mike's disappearance.
So it became a full blown habit to leave his flat as much as possible, and explore London. She had nothing better to do on most days, so it was mostly scouring both Muggle and wizarding districts while practicing Qudditch in between. There was not much else to do without friends, and it was practically impossible to do much now with her money dwindling the span of two weeks.
When Hiro had notified her of his party, she replied instantly with a yes. It was a great way to finally get out of the house with a purpose, and she had to admit that she was missing the Ravenclaw boy. A few weeks seemed like nothing on paper, but with very little to do except either explore surroundings or rot, she wasn't liking the fact of not being around her boyfriend.
Around the corner she spotted the visible head that had to have been Hiro's. Passing by a few people she got close enough to him to be at arms length. She pulled down the dark hood from her face and let light sweep through her. Quickly she traced her fingertips from one of Hiro's shoulders to another as she got to the other side of him, and then nudged him with an elbow. "Hey, man." She sounded glad to see him, but a little quieter than usual. It took only a few owls to tell him what was going on in family.

Drew wasn't sure he would be able to make it to the party. In fact, he had actually told Hiro he probably couldn't make it. With his work schedule the way it was, he really didn't think he could get out of the house for another night. It was actually Felicity, with her own plan to get permission, that reminded Drew who this was all about. Hiro was his best friend. Of course he couldn't miss it.
So Drew put his foot down. He was an adult and could do what he damn well pleased.
Okay, so he pleaded with his Aunt Abigail, telling her it was a friend's party, promising to be in early since Felicity had a curfew, swearing he'd be safe walking through Knockturn, and assuring her that he wasn't going to go anywhere or be with anyone he didn't already know. His great-aunt finally relented and, behind her back Drew grumbled that she really didn't have any right to keep him from going meanwhile trying to convince himself that he would have gone anyway, even if she had said he couldn't.
Felicity's parents would be tougher. Drew wasn't too happy about telling a lie by ommission, feeling like it was breaking what little trust the Hjorts had for him. Felicity had come up with the whole "hanging out with friends in Diagon Alley" and while it was true, it neglected to mention that the particular part of Diagon was Knockturn, in a pub called Wicked Times.
Drew supposed he should feel grateful, honored even, that Mr. Hjort especially, hadn't asked too many questions that would force him to reveal details as to where they were going. So maybe they trusted him more than he thought. That just made him feel even more lousy.
But onec they were out of the house, it ddin't feel so terrible anymore. It was a quick walk to the Leaky Cauldron and from there, just a few steps into Diagon. He was free for the evening, his best girl's hand was in his, and he was ready to party with his best friends.
Said best friends were a few steps ahead of him and Felicity, but Knockturn wasn't the best place to be shouting out for people. He turned to Felicity and smiled, wanting to make sure she was okay before he made a decision to catch up with the other two.

It was night time, strike one. She had work the next day, strike two. And strike three? She was going with Drew, or rather, Drew was going to be present. No, her dad wasn't pleased about the prospects. In fact, initially he told Felicity no. And then she turned to her mum and actually had the chance to explain it was a friend's birthday, which was somewhat explained in the invitation the blonde had been surprised to receive. And though Hiro's birthday was in February, her mum didn't know that. And it was a party for his birthday, he'd explained that much to her when she'd run into him in the Owlry during school, his sister was throwing it. Though, because it was a party she knew it would be harder to convince her parents she should be allowed to go. It was actually thanks to Cherry she was being allowed out. Her cousin had a party that night as well, and since she could go and was three years younger than Felicity, Meadow talked to Ib about it and he agreed. Given that her curfew was again early, earlier than during the Yule Festival, but she got that changed to a later time. Just a little push and pull with a few things and he'd given in, but not happily.
And when Drew arrived and gave the same story she had, that they were just spending time with a few friends, her dad didn't put up too much of a fuss, which surprised the blonde greatly. And soon, after a chat as always when Drew stepped through the door with her dad in his favourite chair, her mum on the arm, and Felicity either on the sofa with Drew, or at the top of the stairs listening or at the doorway of the kitchen listening, they were off on their way to Diagon.
Hand in Drew's, Felicity followed him down the route to Knockturn Alley, where she'd been only once and had run into a Ravenclaw that time as well. Smiling when she saw Hiro and Charlie outdoors Felicity rose her hand to wave exictedly at them, but stopped when Drew looked back at her. Sure, it was dark, a little scary, but they were all right, weren't they? They made it to Knockturn, and to where Hiro's party was which was where Drew worked, so why was he looking at her like that? She was fine. "Everything all right?"

Drew grinned back. "Yeah, just checking," he answered, glad to see she was doing fine. He wasn't sure if she had ever really been down Knockturn before, but he knew he had been scared like nothing else his first time. Of course, he had only been eleven at the time, convinced into going by a couple of older boys who Drew-the-first-year had admired greatly. Heck, Drew still did admire Max and Hilt.
But he wasn't concerned about walking the streets of Knockturn now. He walked this particular path twice a day and had hardly had any incidents since he started working at the club. Most people in Knockturn kept to themselves, not wanting to be noticed and if they decided to get a little more 'friendly"? Well, he had his wand if anyone wanted to make some trouble.
Knowing she was okay, Drew quickened his step, not enough to imply he was in a hurry, but definitely with purpose. Again, he looked at Felicity to make sure she could keep up, but it wasn't long before they were at the steps of the club.
"We having the party in the streets?" he wise-cracked. While he was confident walking the dark corridors that led to Wicked Times, he wasn't sure it was a good idea to stay outside too long.

Meg was wondering what was taking the group so long. Hiro, at least, she'd expected to be punctual. She wasn't sure which friends he was bringing, but she imagined he was still close with Drew so he, at least, would be there. Growing impatient, she headed out to the doors to check for them.
She did not expect to see four slightly younger students just standing there at the door waiting, but there they were. She grinned slyly. "Hiro!" she shouted before hugging him playfully. He'd grown quite tall since she'd last seen him--of course, her diminutive size didn't help that much. "Hiro's friends! About time you got here. What, are you all just going to stand out here in the alley? Not the best choice you could be making. C'mon!" She held the door open for the group. "If anybody else comes they'll find you, don't worry. It's not too crowded tonight."

(sorry)
It was really dumb to stand out in the streets as a young blind wizard in this day and age Hiro didn't want to move until he knew someone would be there to support him. For a moment he regretted the decision as, what he thought, a street vendor had come up to him and was touching his shoulders. Hiro was about to tell them he wasn't interested when Charlie's sweet voice reached his ears.
"Good you made it." Hiro said as he wrapped one of his arms around her. She was having a rough time and this party was just what the doctor ordered.
They didn't have long to talk though before Drew's smart-alic comment pierced their conversation. What else should he expect from the Raven boy? Hiro let out a small laugh before replying.
"I don't think anyone would mind do you?" Hiro said with a smile.
Hiro still had the smile on his face when the last voice had greeted him. Letting go of Charlie Hiro returned her hug, odd she seemed taller the last time they hugged.
"Meg!" Hiro couldn't help but be excited. Of course introductions were in order and so on their way in Hiro introduced everyone. "You remember Drew, along with Felicity." Hiro could only assume that the person with Drew was Felicity, she was always so quiet. "And this is Charlie."

Charlie smiled as Hiro pulled her into a hug. It had already been a year into their relationship, and when one didn't count the three cruel months, she could finally say that she was feeling much, much more comfortable with him. She gave a smirk at Drew and nodded to Felicity in greeting.
When there was a fifth being, she turned to see Meg Candlebright, an old Slytherin from long ago. Charlie didn't think Meg could have remembered her, seeing as they talked maybe once or twice, and it had been so long ago, quite possibly when Charlie was still new to Hogwarts. "What's up?" She said as Hiro introduced her. "Good to see some Slytherin blood out and about." It was hard to say the same for others. She hadn't seen Daniel, Reina, or even Dragos in a long while.

Kellen hadn't been sure about coming to Hiro's party. It had been a while since he'd even really talked to the younger Ravenclaw, though he was flattered and intrigued by the invitation. He'd not spent a lot of time in Knockturn Alley, and on purpose, but this Wicked Times seemed like it could be fun.
After assuring that Allegra would be there too, and he wouldn't just be there with a bunch of Hogwarts students he hadn't seen for a while, Kellen decided to show up. He went inside the door and not far into the club found the group he was looking for. He immediately felt on the old side of the group, but it wasn't so bad. "Hey," he started simply, recognizing most of the people in the small group.

While the group was getting situated in the club Hiro's ears picked up another one of his guests, one that he hadn't heard in a long time.
"Kellen, glad you could make it." Hiro replied. Inviting him had been on a whim that Hiro wasn't sure would work out. Kellen had been like, what Hiro imagined, a big brother. He always looked out for the younger students and knew how to handle a situation. Of course he also said that Allegra would probably be there which Hiro now regreted not asking Drew since he hadn't heard back from her. All he could do was hope that she came otherwise Kellen might feel weird.

Being with Drew, she didn't feel so awkward being in an Alley she'd been warned of many times by her mum. Besides, being with him made her feel safe, especially when she had her hand in his. The feeling of warmth was an added bonus to the feeling of safety. And speeding up her own steps to match Drew's as well as possible, she was glad to reach the small gathering quickly, not thinking much of Hiro not necessarily knowing it was she with him. How could she constantly forget that he couldn't really see her actions? If she thought of it, she'd realize just how inconsiderate she was.
And when a rather pretty girl exited the building behind Hiro and Charlie, Felicity stood off to the side slightly. So this was Hiro's sister? It was an odd reunion, Felicity had thought they would meet before this, especially since Hiro had seemed to excited ages ago when she'd run into him at the owlry.
And yet another showed up, which only made Felicity crowd closer to Drew. While she wasn't really shy, she didn't really know whether Hiro and Charlie were her friends compared to being just Drew's. It made her nervous, what if she went with the wrong assumption? And she had no idea who Kellen was.

"Meg!" Drew cried out excitedly at seeing the former Slytherin and he would have stepped forward to give her a hug if he hadn't felt Felicity shy away a bit. He wasn't sure why the Gryffindor had suddenly gotten so quiet, but whatever it was, he felt a little protective and squeezed her hand.
And then another familiar face, one he was also happy to see. "Kellen!" The older boy had been like a big brother to just about everyone in the house and was probably the only guy Drew didn't have a problem with who had dated Allegra. "Hey, did you see my sister? She said she was going to try to make it too."
And though Hiro had pretty much introduced around, Drew figured, he'd better as well. "Meg is Hiro's cousin and Kellen here was in my sister's class," he said, turning to Felicity before addressing the two former students with a wide grin. "Guys, this is Felicity."

Quiet? Felicity? Ever since January nearly. While she had her moments where she would lapse and easily be as loud as possible, the scene wasn't one she wanted to test. Her giddy wave to the couple outside the building had been foolish, even Drew had looked at her oddly for it. It still hadn't struck that Hiro wouldn't likely know she'd been greeting him. She had to learn to speak around the boy, but she was afraid of saying something to offend him.
And as Drew commentated the others for her, she didn't know what Drew was talking about. Wasn't Meg Hiro's sister? She was sure that was what the boy had told her.
"Drew you're wrong," Felicity told him pointedly, hoping not to attract too much attention from the others. "Meg is Hiro's sister, not his cousin. That's what he told me at least."

Drew turned to Felicity and looked blankly at her. There was exactly one thing about Felicity that bugged him, and she had just done it. No, he didn't really have a problem being told he was wrong when he was, but to be told so bluntly when he wasn't was just annoying.
Drew had known both Meg and Hiro since his first year, Meg before Hiro actually, and knew exactly what their relationship was.
But this was probably not the time nor place to point this out to her.
"And you were told correctly," he answered with a forced smile. He would let Hiro and Meg explain it.
