"You don't need to apologize," he told her bluntly, still not looking at the girl. His eyes were focus on the wall on the other side of his seat and his messy hair was obstructing most of the view anyways. His arm resting on his knee stretched out so his hand was dangling and he twiddled at the air with his fingers as he listened to her.
Come between them? That was a new one. Brandon's head finally turned to look at the Slytherin girl again with a raised eyebrow, which was quite pointless as his hair was covering it anyways. With a shake of his head, the Snake flicked his hair out of his face so he could look at her properly. "We don't need to forget about it," he told her truthfully, "We can just never bring it up again. There's so reason why we should forget about our pasts. It's what makes us, us. And no, you're not a horrible person." Brandon looked away from her as he eyes closed into and angry slant.
"I know horrible people," he said quietly, "And you are not one of them."

She didn't respond to him telling her she didn't need to apologize. She thought she did. It wasn't a natural thing for her but she had been raised with manners and couldn't help it. Es couldn't believe the way that the mood had changed so quickly. But then again, that was the way things happened, didn't they? She wanted to go hide in a corner until the train stopped, telling them that they had arrived at Hogwarts. She let out a silent sigh, praying that they would come to a place where the mood would change better. She felt utterly pathetic.
She looked over at him and nodded slightly. He was exactly right. And she knew that was what she had been trying to say, but hadn't been able to get it out right. She was glad he did though. She nodded again, this time more defiant. Then he answered her spastic question. She felt a wave of idioticy, why had she asked that? She didn't know. Seriously, Es thought she had disciplined herself enough not to do things like that. But it was different around Brandon. She gave another sigh.
"Thank you.."
She replied softly, not knowing what else to say.

Gail breathed out a sigh of relief once she had passed the barrier and got on Platform 9 3/4. There was always a time in her past years when she'd have to run at it thrice, because of her trolley going off course. The rain was pelting down hard, each drop hitting her body as if it were rocks and not liquid water. Pulling up her hoodie, she pushed her trolley through the the bustling crowd of students and their parents. Although her vision wasn't quite brilliant at the moment, she could still make out the figure of the train puffing out grey smoke into the already polluted air. Shrugging off her feelings towards pollution, she pushed the trolley towards it. I really wish mum and dad were here but they're too busy looking after Nicholas. Oh yay...
Once inside, with her owl and trunk; she made her way down the narrow corridor as she peered into each compartment for an empty seat. Finally finding one, she slid open the oak door and stepped in. Gail placed her trunk and owl cage on the chest above the seats and took off her raincoat. Her brown locks were soaked and stuck to her face like glue. Managing to pull it back, she wiped her face with a clean handkerchief. Feeling a bit dry, she plopped down on one of the red cushioned seats, her raincoat resting on her lap. A bit sticky.
Gail looked out through the window enveloped with rain drops as the train slowly started to leave the platform. Another new year. Fudge.
